I do this for hair and body oil/butter. I use beeswax, either olive oil or coconut oil, and some shea butter, then add tea tree essential oil and lavender oil (sometimes i add jojoba oil or castor oil) and some vitamin e at the end and mix it all together.

alpha lipoic acid has melting point of around 60 degrees but it is a disulfide so better to add it when the temperature is close to 40 degrees. need to check its reaction with other ingredients
Can you use beeswax with organic coconut oil AND shea. I want the lotion to last longer than 3 months and not go bad. What are your feelings about useing pure cornstarch in the lotion? Hi, yes you can definitely use beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter together! If you add vitamin E oil too that will also reduce the chance for the oils turning rancid and therefore last longer. This wont work in the long run if you have dry/flaky face skin, because what actually moisturize the skin is water and the oil is sealing them. This will work for lips tho, granted that you drink enough water.i have dry skin and make beeswax + oil, my chapped lips is good, but for skin, it doesn't look dry if you just apply it but the next day you will still realize ur skin is still dry.
You should NOT use parafin. Actually the best ingredients for that cream is extra virgin olive oil and pure beeswax. You can add some drops of essential oils.

I've made this several times now and it's lovely for my very dry skin.

Yes it happens, use less beeswax or just melt what you prepared and add a little more fixed oil (here was Avocado oil).
