Great series. Keep it up. FYI, myself and many wrenchers and pro mechanics find a 90 degree pick is the goto tool for breaking that rubber hose death grip. Will be way easier than the wide plastic spatula you have there.

Useful video thanks! I'm having trouble with the fuel lines removal so I'll remove the smog pump as well which should help 👍

Get yourself some mechanic picks. They will make your life so much easier for just about anything. ESPECIALLY stubborn hoses.

Greetings! Regarding the main fuel lines, I can't seem to find mine ('03 model). The first one you removed, does not exist on my car. Just a nut at the end of the fuel rail. Any idea on the location of the main fuel lines on the '03? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

Hello Tarek, unfortunately this is the first Porsche and first engine I have ever worked on, I have no knowledge of other cars. I recommend posting your question on the Porsche Engine gurus face book page.

Fuel cooler?!? That's weird, I'd think they'd put a gas heater in rather than cooler. Pre heated gas allows for better heat expansion and full combustion, as well as better emissions. I'm not saying Porsche is wrong, but I do find it interesting. I'm going to research and find out.

That fuel cooler thing was a pain in the butt, I hope it’s very important 😅 Let me know what you find out. Thank you for watching Pasquale 🤘😎

I haven't researched yet, but I'm going to guess that's a shell and tube design. Maybe they are using the hot air from the AC compressor motor to preheat the gas. The gas would be cooler than the hot air from AC compressor motor. So, you'd definitely get heat transfer. But, what would you do with the now cooler air in the shell side. Maybe dump it off into the intake?

@@ManinaGarage absolutely! After I finish this episode I'll do some research and report back lol.

Ok... I was half right half wrong. The cooler is cooling the fuel so the fuel can cool the fuel pump. The fuel pump runs so hot that you get enough heat transfer to pre heat the fuel.

Great Video Series ...damn you put a lot of work in to these. Great Job!
Best tool for stuck coolant hoses are picks. Something like these....I use them ALL the time and old hoses come right off. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SR2DJT8
Also, for the power steering hoses next time you can just use a "crowfoot wrench" with a long extension. ;)
