I have three of them! Bought 2 and Amazon sent a third, the tires are gonna be shot in days, asphalt eats them alive! I just bought a surpass brushless system to put into mine.
Awesome! Definitely let me know how you like the surpass system. I was looking at that for mine when I get it. Unfortunately I did try the wheel nut and it didn’t really help. Not a big issue though. I think it’s just one bearing tighter than the other cause it barely has any difference between them. So far we love it! Probably try my luck at ordering from amazon since they like to send out freebies 😆
These are a blast at my local clay track. The brush isn't really fast enough to brake. But when you go brushless things can brake. I love them and it's awesome that you picked one up. Can't wait to see what you end up doing with it. Take it easy
Pretty cool little buggy !! I would be going brushless on this for sure, but pretty darn good right out of the box. The shocks sold me, as oil filled at this price point, along with Horizon quality, make this a win, IMO. On my list !! BTW, Matt, don't change a thing on your reviews, as you always have the straight up goods, with no BS or hype. That is my main reason for watching your videos !!
I really appreciate that! I feel like I don’t go into deep detail like some do but there is a slight reason for that. I don’t study specs on these things. I want to get a truck and basically give my review on my thoughts alone. That way a first look is really more of a first look. Of course I’ve seen them before etc but I haven’t watched 15 videos on it and read the spec sheet 20 times remembering things to say. To me it is more like the average person grabbing one and running it. I’m not an expert so I don’t try to be lol. I just grab it and run it. Then see how I feel about it from there. Glad it works for others cause that’s how I prefer to learn about anything really. No bs stats or specs just flat out how is it and how do you like it lol
Bro if you adjust the dual rates on the steering and throttle it goes way hella faster than right out the box ...it's really slow if you haven't already figured that out
Yeah but really it’s not much more than an scx24 so I kinda get it. I think it comes with some better components than an scx24 also. Of course they are two totally different beast but this at least has a good servo, oil filled shocks and some decent tires. And it’s a 1/16 so I really didn’t think it was horrible.
@@christiansrcs7789 I’m really not sure for the RGT. Haven’t messed with it any. Basically any brushless motor that’ll bolt up with a Furitek esc should be smooth though!
Cool little buggy even to run inside the house on a rainy day, give the pets some exercise 👍
Haha! For sure! My dog would probably eat it though. She loves to bite the tires off the bigger ones if you let her lol

Trying loosening that back wheel but.

I wish I had a track closer to me! I should definitely rework the track here at home and try running them on it. I’m sure it would be a blast.

Make sure you turn up the dual rates.. it speeds it up. Also, the brushless is ridiculously fast.
Yeah I dropped all the stock electronics and went with a cheap brushless system from amazon. It runs on a 1/10 track just fine now lol
Looks kinda bad ass! I would love to see a motor upgrade for sure!
I plan on building one out soon!
@@2fmrc can't wait!
Cool buggy! For the price and quality it is a great starter car! What size motor is stock?
Pretty cool buggy for sure! It’s a 280 size 47t motor.
@@2fmrc Cool thnks!

Yeah I turned them up. Way better brushless though lol
Nice 👍. I just paid for a new little shop, nothing new for me for a minute. Unless I break something🤔🤭
Awesome! Congrats on the shop!
@@2fmrc Thank you, I'm really looking forward to it. 🤪!
My servo is screwed.
Yeah my son just killed his I believe. Probably gonna slap a reefs 99 or agfrc (same as reefs) in it when I get a chance!
No roof test 😂
Haha! Nah this one isn’t gonna be a basher so I cut it a break lol
It looks cool but the price....

I think $150 is really reasonable. I've had no problem in the past with dropping $400 on a 1/10 2wd buggy kit.
@@Rowdy216 same! The 1/10 tlr 22 5.0 is still like $279 for the kit so it didn’t seem all that bad to me.
@@2fmrc hey I got my rgt 1/24 and I was wondering what is a good cheap brushless system because my stock motor just gave out so... time to upgrade it!
