Beauty! Love the fork crown. Two small observations: I know grumpy ol' Grant hates disc brakes but mechanical discs would solve a few issues here, namely tire clearance around the brake arms. If you've got to deflate the tires to get inside the arms, even with the release lever flipped, then something is off. And they would clean up the front end visually. Also, man, that head tube angle looks super steep for a single speed cruiser.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I really don't mind the rim brakes. There are plenty of disc brake bikes on the market. I could probably get different brakes that can handle the tire width. Head tube angle with the fork rake provide a really nice feel. Love the long back end as well.
So, they come built that way from Riv. The idea is to add a chain tensioner to the back and manually switch gears if you need to. So, it can be a single speed with a bail out gear. The person that purchased the bike did just that. It's kind of a Rivendell thing.
Rivendale bikes are works of art. Beautiful !
Yes indeed!
Absolutely beautiful
That is gorgeous. Love the green color on the brake lever clamps.
Me too. I have a set on our Rivendell Susie as well.

$1750 USD just for the frame...yikes. A gorgeous frame, to be sure, but that price is eye-watering.
Double chainring but no gear lever? I am confused

Hmm, is headset on a tight side?
Sorry if i missed wheel size info, but 700c or 650b?
It’s a 700c. 54 cm and up are 700c, smaller sizes are 650b.
I like'em, but they are a weird company. The volume is too low and availability too spotty.
Oh man, I'd say that Rivendell is one of the all-time GREATEST companies--outstanding people and designs, and the bikes are dreamy to ride.
You're saddle looks way too high full leg extension nice ride tho
Taiwan makes a good bicycle and good knives. I would be wary of their electronics, especially pagers and cellphones.
