Your cinematography is spectacular! A cut above anything else I've seen on UA-cam, even the ones that specialize in professional photography. Someone needs to hire you professionally dude! Love it, and the review as well! Keep it coming Sam!
A lot of people would wish for something like this as a dying wish. Driving an Alfa around Italian mountains with a roaring soundtrack and beautiful vistas. Enjoy it for us, since not everyone will be able to realize this dream Sam, thank you for bringing us this content. Much love.
The QV is the only car that I've owned that wows me more in 3 years than year one. I own two 997.2 GT3s and would give them up before my Alfa. Until you own one it's impossible to understand it. Joy. That's the best descriptor.
Great video as always. I’ve watched this channel since I saw a video about an Alfa 4C being reversed into by a van driver, you’ve come a long way since then. I had the privilege of meeting Sam at the Goodwood Revival a few weeks ago and all I can say is Sam is so down to earth and that the personality that you see on screen is mirrored in real life. I still can’t believe the channel doesn’t have 1 million subscribers. All I can say is Sam, keep up the excellent work!
One of your best videos yet. Great mix of shots, talking and quite sections. Your production talents just get better. Nice car but sounds way too expensive. Love Alfas but prefer the old ones like classic GTVs.
its passion on wheels - that sound - that color - that tradition - can you put a price tag to it? If you ask you are too poor - somebody famous said that once. Thanx for sharing - awesome!
I always love to see a QV on the rare occasions one passes me in my area. Wish the car and brand got more love and respect in the US. Fantastic video as always Sam!
As a Giulia Veloce owner (3 years from new), wonderful to see that dashboard pov I recognise so much, but the soundtrack is another level. As a daily the Veloce is perfect mix of sensible and fun and you have that perfect balance. I'd go to a QF but cannot justify the extra £100k, except from the collectors perspective of a limited run.
I live like 30 minutes away from the Panoramica Zegna (the area filmed in the video), located in the province of Biella. Been there recently, truly a beautiful road, never would've thought to see it on UA-cam. 🔝
The car, the scenery the coffee, the amazing photography and editing... And then lastly the whip cracks in the tunnels 🤤 It doesn't get much better 🥰 Thank you Sam.
Amazing car, great location, great weather and good coffee = the prefect day. Well done! Thanks for bring us along. BTW fantastic cinematography. Really well done!
That’s the next flagship for the channel Sam! You’ve already done the ftype/porsche route while this would be so unique compared to most channels. Also think how amazing your last road trip would be in this thing! This and the 360 make a awesome two car garage 👌
Favourite video from any channel in quite some time. Might be a bit biased though as I’m three months into a new QV ownership and loving it. Just need an Italian road trip now.
Beautiful car, awesome paint too in that stunning Italian sunshine - that road looks amazing - one for the list. Standard Guilia QF plus £100k cash sounds like a better deals though
gotta agree with that. just the fact that you can spend around 25k on a standard Guilia QF, suspension coilovers, carbon bits, exhaust, tune and some fancy brakepads.. and have the same fun (i think) and keep 75k in your pocket.
I don't know how it's possible but this video is even more beautiful than usual.. Maybe it's beacause I'm heavily biased towards Alfa Romeo ! Congrats and thank you for this video Sam ! It makes me want to go to Italy with my own Alfa so so bad now !
Sam, from an automotive journalist standpoint, this was hands down one of your top 3 best car reviews ever and generally some of the best car journalism ive ever seen! Well done
I want one so bad! Also the background music during your ad was so distracting it sounded like your turn signal was on the whole time! Thanks again for an amazing video Sam.
That was a Sunday special! Well shot, great location, headline car. And love the Guilia. Even thinking about getting a 280 lusso as the family run around as can’t afford (justify) a QV for my toy.
The regular Giulia QV is still one of my dream cars, I’d daily the hell out of one if I could. Sam you should get a drive in a regular one again, you might fall in love with it 😏
Not to brag but I have one and daily it in Texas. It's thirsty, temperamental, delicate, and my hands down favorite car I've ever owned. Yes it's annoying that I have to slow to a crawl at many intersections to avoid bottoming out, it may or may not have eaten a fuel injector at 2000 miles on the clock, and the tires disintegrate if it's below 50ºF, but somehow the faults are charming. Jeremy Clarkson has always said that a car has to have human flaws to be loved, and I get it now. I desperately hope it doesn't take Alfa Romeo another 20 years to make another super sedan. I've driven BMW's for years. I'm not sure I can ever go back. p.s. the tire thing is not a joke. Pirelli themselves say on their website to never expose the tires to subfreezing weather. I lost both rear tires as a result of not having power for a week during the 2021 icepocalypse here. Spent more on replacing the tires than I did on fixing my pipes.
Included in that price is, a bespoke helmet, race suit, a day out at the Alfa Romeo driving academy and customers have a retail assistant taking them through the entire purchase process, so that goes some way to justify the price. I would go for the GTAm to an greater extent still, make my money’s worth, but still, what a car. The Giulia QV remains my dream car and please, everyone who’s looking at an M3, C63, AT LEAST check the QV out. It’s unusual, but that makes it so cool, plus it’s so beautiful you go everywhere feeling like the biggest winner! They deserve MORE ATTENTION!
Thank you for making videos like this. I love the sense of adventure and exploration I get when I watch you go on these trips. I'm living vicariously through you. I hope you truly appreciate what an amazing life you have man. P.S. I loved that chase camera when you were going back down the hill. Your cinematography really conveys the day's story well. Keep up the good work!
What a beautiful machine full of such soul, I can only imagine how much better it is over the standard QV. Great drive, great roads, great coffee, and amazing machine to top it off, excellent!
After watching you podcast about becoming a youtuber and how you like to create content telling a story not just pressing record. Thinking of the story before hand, making sure you bring us with you on the journey with moves of the scenery…I can really see that structure and foundation used in this video. Really appreciate your work even more now! Congrats on a stunning story telling video with beautiful scenery…makes me want to get in my lotus and go for a drive
Great Video! Making me miss Italy too! I learned how to drive in an old Alfetta 1.8 and my first car was a GTV (we're talking back in the 80's here), so I've always had a love for Alfas. An acquaintance is thinking about selling his 4C Launch Edition, and after watching this video, I'm thinking about rekindling my Alfa relationship! The GTA appears to be an AWESOME car - and one we won't get here in the States. But based on the price in the UK, it seems it would have been north of $200k, had we gotten it here. As much as I love Alfas, that would just be too much for me. There are too many other great cars available at that price point. But what a stunner it is, and what a soundtrack! All captures in the typical awesome Sam style!
Thank you, Sam, awesome video, i liked much the thoughts you had on this Alfa, and also the part where you left after coffee and just drove without speaking..very nice!
As always great content from you Sam, you communicate greatly humor, grace and strength of character. The car, well I own one and for me it is the best sports sedan in the world. 🍀
I love the GTA, the Looks are amazing. If i had a lot of money i would buy one. There is nothing more special than an italian car. So many emotions, it‘s like the 4 door version of a Ferrari 👍
Absolutely marvelous piece Sam. I so wish you can have this beautiful car for your world tours, or long tour ride, as you are the very few who do live with them rather just shot n forget type
So exquisitely designed and engineered it's beyond......what normal man would deem impossible almost. Then there's the scenery. Amazing. 🍷🍷 Alfa. On a tandem intrigued by the structure @ 5:22, if light could be shed. Once again brilliant.
Thanks again for another amazing video Sam. The car looks and sounds as good as the Italian scenery! To be honest I can think of better ways to spend an extra £100k over a standard quadrifoglio...
One of the most pleasant videos, as of late from you sam 👍🏼 Loved the pov camera angle part of the video! Really cool way of seeing how you drove this car :) (Most times i would imagine driving ALL the way up that mountain just to get a single sip of coffee would be frustrating, but with this car i’m sure no one is complaining 😂)
There are so many tuning mods available for the standard Quadrifoglio that it’s hard to believe the sum total of the upgrades total an extra £80k! Carbon wide body kit will be available soon, and easy ‘stage 1’ map to 600bhp+ for the standard cars. It’s purely the ‘limited edition’ premium that you’re paying for here and that’s sad because most of the 500 will not be used for the purposes they were intended. Keep up the great work. Nice blend of PTC and montages. I’m trying to live up to your high standards on my own channel @BackRoadHero. Ps my own QV is available any time you wish if you want to compare it with the F-type R. Cheers Ed
Try a comparison with a 156 GTA, especially for those below who'd see driving one of these QF GTAs around Italy as nothing more than a dream. The 156 GTA is a flawed gem, bags of character, stunning engine and beautiful sound...and affordable!
Great review with an amazing car. In my opinion the Giulia GTA/GTAm are the the most desirable sport sedans on the market. They are expensive, but it's worth every euro, as it's sold out. It will be a collector for any fan of Italian cars.

The Giulia is ugly. Maserati should replace the Giulia with a below Ghibli scale sports sedan.
A lot of people would wish for something like this as a dying wish. Driving an Alfa around Italian mountains with a roaring soundtrack and beautiful vistas.

In 30 years nobody will mention Project 8 but GTA will be pure treasure. You just cannot compare these two.
One of the most stunning saloons ever built!
Alfa Romeo will always be my favourite car brand to ever exist

Yep, the only good Alfa is a used one. New ones are way overpriced.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I traded my 911 for a Giulia Quadrifoglio and haven't regretted it at all. It inspires passion.

Haha. Challenge accepted
I always love to see a QV on the rare occasions one passes me in my area. Wish the car and brand got more love and respect in the US. Fantastic video as always Sam!
well the only reason its not doing that great in the us is that of its cons almost out way its pros..mainly its Reliability on a daily level..
As a Giulia Veloce owner (3 years from new), wonderful to see that dashboard pov I recognise so much, but the soundtrack is another level. As a daily the Veloce is perfect mix of sensible and fun and you have that perfect balance. I'd go to a QF but cannot justify the extra £100k, except from the collectors perspective of a limited run.
the extra cost is absolutely justifiable, maybe not for the bang for your buck, but for the reason that it will increase in value over time.
Man, I just love your videos. Love the editing ,the scenery and your enthusiasm. Its such a joy to watch them every single time!
