Graduated with Henry ,put on GREAT shows at local bars,Palmers,Bo disco. Henry played great cover songs and original music. Can't say enough for a GREAT performer and friend.
Watched him twice in the 80s !!....and believe me ...he was better than just about anybody out there then !!....killer vocals ....and always a high energy show !!
Hes still rockin Indiana, I work as a chef and cooked for him and his band at the Ft. Wayne Country club one night, he was very cool and we sat around talking music and guitars, my chef was super cool and let me watch the show.
I saw them at IPFW, outdoor stage, awesome show, great fun! My playlist is filled with 70s and 80s Midwest rock and roll. Best Rock came from the heartland! 🎶 🎵 It's a shame Henry Lee didn't make it big on mainstream radio.
Hes one of those performers who i just loaded with so much energy-its infectious .You just cant help but get into him and his music even if youre not familar with it.
The Oasis Diner was the restaurant. It's now in Plainfield, IN. Stop by and have one of the States's best Tenderloin sandwiches! Totally redone and just an awesome historic diner!
Feel good music! Henry Lee had the magic touch, and he still can! Give him a chance! He's paid his dues and his price, help him back to where he was. His songs are fun and full of energy! Help him out folks! C'mon Henry Lee!
henry lee summer is a great singer.he needs to get his act together and get on a major tour and get his name back out there. people still love his music
Here i am, a young adult, and i choose to listen to music like this, and not that new world rap stuff everyone else is listening to with them beats that sound like typewriters in a washing machine. I like older music because it has more feeling and it feels more special. Ya'll older people out there, ya'll knew how to make great music, people these days have no clue what they're doing.
I saw him play a free concert at Americana Amusement Park at Lesourdsville Lake in Ohio back in the late 80s. I was just a kid and he signed an autograph for me which was amazing to me since he was on the radio with " Hands on the Radio"..
I remember seeing the same studebaker on the bus going to HS, never moved in three years...And I would always say to myself---YOU can't tell the front from the back...aint that right you CRAZY HLS
I saw HLS twice in the 80s. Once at a tiny venue in Fayetteville, NC, and once as the opening act for Richard Marx. He was excellent, and his band was so good!
Hey friend- saw Henry Lee several times in late 80s, opening for Mellencamp, Chicago, Richard Marx, etc. ALWAYS stole the show! His first major label debut album was one of the best albums ever recorded, period.
I had the privelge of seeing this rocket in concert! My daughter wanted his autograpgh but he was eating,, she approached him and we had a little family party!! It was so fun meeting Henry! (Iowa)
we got older and the younger generation is a bunch of snowflake little candy asses that get offended at the slightest thing... hell it's damn near illegal to even notice a female IS a female lol
He came to Sturgis Kentucky he played out the Sturgis airport people were calling the law on everybody saying they had neighbors playing music to loud 📢 they lit the scanners up that night
Whatever happened to this dynamic talent we miss talents like you Mr Henry Lee summer hope you are bringing joy and happiness to the music you've given us we want your music back to give us some joy
He was great and this was a great band. The brunette at the gas station :) wow. Hope he is doing good. Check out henryleesummer.com and look at his guitar art. Amazing.
Totally cool and a fun guy he was always great live they just marketed him wrong which hurt him a lot but it should show the record companies to actually listen to someone and be familiar with their music before marketing it as something other than what it really is.
Hi to Mimi, you look so great in this video. Too bad for the quick edits. Miss the whole group. I here ya reunion in Indy once in a while. RIP Ricky Benik
@meangreen69Nova fellow hoosier here , get off the meth is good but as long as he's singing hits his appearance isn't an issue. Currently he is working on new music , Lets all hope the New Music is half as good as the hits we remember ! Haven't seen him preform in awhile but he was top notch in concert.
The most underrated singer of our time! The man sings his ass off!
one of the best of all time...shouldve been far more successful...
Got his ass into to much trouble. Singing isn't all of it, you have to stay out of trouble.

So few of them actually play their own instruments. They just jump around singing to electronic music. 😢

Love this tune ....good feeling tune :)
What the heck happened to the world? We were happy in the 80's
That's actually a great question. Don't have a great answer. Seems like the places on earth where true evil existed was allowed to fester and grow.
we got older and the younger generation is a bunch of snowflake little candy asses that get offended at the slightest thing... hell it's damn near illegal to even notice a female IS a female lol
What the heck happened to you? My life is exponentially better than it was in the miserable 80s. I'm sorry that life didn't work out for you.
@@scottlarson1548 life worked out for me. Just saying that we have unhappy people every where
@@angleokie And you're saying we didn't have unhappy people everywhere in the 1980s?

He sure was a hyper guy! lol
I have his first couple of albums and there very good... I thought he was just as good as mellincamp... He just wasn't on MTV as much
Should’ve been a bigger hit
The labels were cashing in on Mellencamp when they signed him.
lol was that Lyle Lovitt in his band?
