Brings back memories of buying my 1st Sony Walkman in 1989 with a switch on it for "chrome" and the Southside cassette had the chrome symbol on the sleeve. What a difference in sound quality when you flicked to "Chromium" on the Walkman. Good times! Great song!

They just don't make music like they used to. Over produced and lifeless music of today don't hold a candle, is not even in the same room as the candle, to the music of old. These where amazing muso's that can rock up and nail a song in one take. No overdubbing and autotune needed. Just incredible music

Quality of the song shows in the fact that Sharleen doesn’t need to show off her s***uality like today’s female singers, and in fact you don’t really think about the fact that she’s woman. We went to see them last Tuesday 10th September 2024 in Bournemouth. She still has the same voice as she used to have 35 years ago. She is still fit and keeps her great presence after all these years.
Texas came to Fat Sams, Dundee, early 1989, just after this gem of a debut single hit the charts & shortly before the release of the Southside album . Their look and performance were pretty much as fabulous as in this video. Wonderful time capsule.

Been a fan of Texas since I heard this album playing in our local music store as the album of the day! Bought it that day and damn near wore the tape out listening to it. This album holds so many good memories for me! Glad to finally see the video for the 1st time!

Brings back memories of buying my 1st Sony Walkman in 1989 with a switch on it for "chrome" and the Southside cassette had the chrome symbol on the sleeve.
What a difference in sound quality when you flicked to "Chromium" on the Walkman.

They just don't make music like they used to. Over produced and lifeless music of today don't hold a candle, is not even in the same room as the candle, to the music of old. These where amazing muso's that can rock up and nail a song in one take. No overdubbing and autotune needed. Just incredible music

Timeless classic that could’ve easily reached no.1 today. Quality of the song shows in the fact that Sharleen doesn’t need to show off her s***uality like today’s female singers, and in fact you don’t really think about the fact that she’s woman. They’re just a great band with a great lead singer producing quality music! Love it. ❤
Fun fact if you go out and actually look for music you’ll find that there are thousands of female artists that don’t do that, you’re just closed-minded.

We went to see them last Tuesday 10th September 2024 in Bournemouth. She still has the same voice as she used to have 35 years ago. She is still fit and keeps her great presence after all these years.

Texas came to Fat Sams, Dundee, early 1989, just after this gem of a debut single hit the charts & shortly before the release of the Southside album . Their look and performance were pretty much as fabulous as in this video. Wonderful time capsule.
