I started my hair journey on 1st june 2019 it has been slow but once I complete a year I'll come back to comment on how many inches it has grown I'll do this for the next 5yrs (I'll quit if I don't like how it turns out then) you've been such an inspiration to me I kept coming back to these video of yours to convince myself to start my journey... I've never grown out my hair before...

On September of 2020 I was applying to join university and my mum asked me to cut my hair cos she wanted me to look neat for my highschool graduation which happened late cos of the virus spreading around and for the school interview I then decided to do waves I maintained my waves till about January of this year when I finally got admitted to UBC Vancouver I then decided to grow my hair out once again it first started out as a wolfing session but I missed having hair that was long enough to change looks... as of now I'm doing cornrows as protective styling

ive been natural for the beginning of the year but last month straightened my hair so I have heat damage and my curls are not defining at the root just the ends so what should I do
When your hair was short did you comb or pick it out or did you just put product in your hair
So to start a curl journey do I just not pick out my hair and leave it the way it looks when I put products in it

You should try As-I-Am gel bro, we have close to the same curl pattern. It's made from natural products and it's not a sticky product (very light). I use it in my hair and it works fine.

He just kept curling it and grew it out to the point of hanging. It’s much easier with a fade
