As a person who has literally grown out their undercut with you, chile it's been crazy! I will definitely say, during this second year, having a stylist to gradually build shape over time is clutch! I decided to wear my hair out without "protective" styling and getting professional curly cuts/shaping has really given me great results
Do u go to a salon or more loctitions? There’s a authentic african hair spot near me but idk if i should go there or a salon for a shape up with how curly my hair is cause i’m half black/white
@@comedyj1174 my friend it doesn't matter your nationality, or race. Going to a stylist, whom is skilled in cutting your hair in it's natural wet/dry state is essential! I'm a shape over length person, so my cuts reflect that, but it's all up to you

Your hair is beautiful. I'm growing out my undercut now and completely ready to taper it back down. I've been natural since 2020 and I love it. I just need more options otherwise it will be really short again. Your video is very informative and has given me a fresh new light to this process.

I'm currently growing out my side shaves! I've been in my hair journey for the pasts 20 months and I want my side shaves to grow in order for me to rock more hairstyles and for me to look better as a model.
I'm going to take a 4-month hiatus doing absolutely nothing but waiting for my side shaves to grow. Once I can get them braided, I'll go out and do modeling again and whatnot.

I got an undercut and long hair too and I sometimes think about growing out the sides but I keep fading the sides because like it very much. My hair already touches my shoulders and I will keep letting it grow. I just think it's the perfect style. I love the punk vibe of the undercut while still having a curly mane. I used to obsess over my routine but I learned to keep it simple even though it may could be less frizzy. I sometimes like my hair a lot more on day 2 or 3 or even 4 cause it looses some of the volume and gains more length. I used to tie it up while sleeping but I stopped doing that cause I think the hairbands just irritate my hair and puts stress on it.
IDK just some random thoughts about my hair.

Your hair is dope. I remember when i started growing my undercut sorta of and i asked you if you found the texture to be diffeeent and you said yes hahahaha. It’s a journey but you’re right, if you stick to it, it all comes together and now my hair is chest level. Don’t have your fullness but I’m loving my hair just the way it is

I had a high top then started growing out a full head, was eventually gonna get a taper, was at a good length and got a haircut after about 9 months and barber took all my progress away. Feels like so much wasted. Starting to regrow my undercut again but it was extremely frustrating and discouraging, I don’t wanna go through that awkward ugly stage again it was hard on me
I've been growing my sides 4 about 11 month and I have to say it's worth it luv the versatility of hairstyles

But Fr, that part about texture loosening as it gets long is true as f. My hair is like 4A ish long, 4Z when it's short.
I Definitely went through the stage of feeling like my face looked fat because of my undercut growing out😅.. but that feeling went away when i shaved my sideburns.

Today makes 2 months for me🎉 Not looking too crazy yet, but I'll see at 3 months if I feel that way😂 I've cut my hair enough times though so I know around 4-5 months is when I'll be able to effortlessly grip it
I will be at 5 months in 4 days. Just been rocking twist outs since I can twist the sides now. Might see if I can cornrow after I wash my hair in 2 days

Yea, you can put it in braids after you’ve applied it. But it’s generally not good to leave in your deep conditioner for longer than instructed
