    I think infertility is just as hard on men as it is women. My aunt told me that she was with her first husband for 7yrs, no children, no pregnancies. He would blame her and tell everyone that she was sterile. When they were together and people would ask "when are you guys going to have a baby"? He'd say "ask her, she's the one that cant get pregnant" he was a total a$$ to my aunt. His family didn't like her because of all the unsavory things that he was saying about her....Anyway, they ended up divorcing and when they divorced he told her that he was happy, now he can find him a "real woman". My aunt happily moved on with her life and remarried 3yrs later and within 6 months of being married she got pregnant and delivered a beautiful healthy baby boy. 3yrs later she had another baby, a girl. 2yrs after that another girl. She ended up running into one of her former in-laws and they were surprised to see her with all these beautiful children and a ring on her finger. That former in-law told her that her ex was still childless and had remarried as well. 🤔 Then 20yrs later she ran into him at a gas station and sure enough, he was divorced again and you guessed it, CHILDLESS.....It was him the whole time. Turned out, he was the one with infertility problems and going around making women miserable because of it.......

      Imagine back in the day what it was like for women whose husbands had a low sperm count and they got blamed for the lack of children. Remember that king that killed all his wives because they couldn’t get pregnant, today we know that he was the issue not them.

      It took me and my husband 3 years of trying to get pregnant with my oldest son and I hated people always asking “when are you and your husband going to have a baby??” Meanwhile we were trying our hardest and it wasn’t happening. That’s why I don’t ask people questions like that. It’s personal and if they want me to know they’ll tell me. You just never know what someone’s going through so it’s best to keep your mouth shut.

    I know a lady who was married for 7 years when she was younger and had no children. People looked down at her and blamed her. Her father died so she had to move closer to her mum to help raise her younger siblings and support her mum. The husband divorced her they went their separate ways. Years later she got married and now has two kids a boy and a girl. Her ex husband sadly died but never had kids.

    what if that happens to a couple(happy couple) so they can adopt..I mean if you can't have children and you don't adopt so who will adopt those children? sorry if this sounds rude but that's what I am thinking of

    • @maam-yj8ph
      @maam-yj8ph 2 роки тому +6

      I agree. I think it's somewhat selfish to say you can't love a child that is not biologically your own. Having to adopt children forces you to acknowledge some less than flattering realities about yourself and your family, but hopefully that just makes you realize why you want children in the first place. Hopefully it makes you make the effort to consciously be the best parent to that child.

    • @brionnebeck6954

      I totally agree. I had a hard time conceiving and finally just decided to stop letting it ruin my life and instead put that energy into helping a child that's already in the world. We ended up getting pregnant as soon as we stopped being miserable but absolutely want to foster kids one day.

    • @Coryraisa

      So true!!!! Just as there are people wanting children, there are so many children in foster homes awaiting adoption and a forever family.

    • @marykay7878
      @marykay7878 7 місяців тому

      I disagree. Many adopted kids live through very difficult childhood because their adoptive parents had unrealistic expectations of adoption and the needs of an adopted child. If you feel you are not strong and selfless and understanding and compassionate enough to give everything to an adopted child, then please do not adopt one.

      @@tmwick10 IFV (at least where I come from) can be anywhere from 15,000 - 3,000 dollars FOR ONE treatment. Let’s say your body doesn’t accept that so you’ll need more rounds. That’s another 15-30k as opposed to adopting a child that cost anywhere from 30-50k (I would know this because I have worked at hotels where people would stay so they can bring home they’re adopted baby)
      So YES. I do know how expensive both ends of the spectrum are, adopting makes more sense if your body cannot produce a child of your own.
