Mark13:24 and matthew24:29 say after the days of tribulation the sun will be darkened and moon will not shed light. It is referring to the total solar eclipse which happened in the year 24. The number 24 in both scripture is the year. We have same total solar eclipse coming april 08 2024. If you count the total solar eclipse back which only happens every 100yrs is the yr 24. So the next 1,000 years of tribulation/plagues is .....

Oprah still doesn’t believe in seeking psychiatric treatment for her own trauma. Doctors need to CHECK THEMSELVES FIRST before pushing patients and others into a bottomless pit where nobody is ever cured during endless, expensive sessions. Watching Oprah affirms this after all these years.
Since doctors refuse to seek treatment or disclose their psychiatric status, more of the public has chosen to stay away from doctors who don’t believe in what they are pushing on others.
She should talk about her links with Epstein and Weinstein. What a hypocrite! 🤢

Yea I got my axx toe up when I was younger. And Oprah a dang liar. She wasn't bleeding but she gonna embellish all her growing up to make it sound dramatic. Ain't no telling where I'd be or how long I may not have made it because of them but whippings.

The things that children suffer in their childhood, it just makes my stomach sick. Children are so small, defenseless, and precious. For someone to mistreat them takes a certain level of inhumanity.
OPRAH IS IN HER 70'S. our parents did what they knew best. you know i always remember my gma would say. Michele i am beating you so the white man wont. it wasnt because they wanted to. they just didnt want my actions calls the white man to beat me when she could have to corrected my actions when i was being bad when i thought i was having fun. i had trauma myself. so when i had my babies. you know i started spanking my babies. because that is all i knew. but then i looked at my babies and i prayed to my God to take that from me. i said to myself and to my babies. i know i can hurt you and i know their are other ways to punish you. and i refused to have you to remember the only way i know how to do is beat on you. so i stopped. because i refused to let this be their story about me... so dont judge our parents. maybe that is all they knew... have a great day...
I was talking with my mother last Saturday evening after spending some time with my toxic family and came home and was very suicidal she started yelling at me and freaked out and said she couldn't handle it and hung up on me and as always discussing the beatings that I remember and me being a supporting other peers in recovery I do share my story The Good The Bad and The Ugly and she's I hope you don't tell people that that never happen apparently we have two different remembrance of my childhood and I just turned 60 in the trauma continues every time I try to see them I'm no longer a people pleaser and we'll tell them straight up how I feel what I think they don't remember anything apparently I make everything up... what?
I’m also a light sleeper and I use to wake up in my bed completely scared and afraid and I’ve realized it’s childhood trauma. The saddest thing for an adult that had an abusive childhood is that we almost always remain those scared little kids inside but we have to function in a grown society.

That is what my ex spouse believed. I remember I made a decision to leave him after he threatened to beat my oldest daughter with an extension cord. I moved out with my 2 girls & never looked back!
I was beat with an extension chord. It left scars for years. Both my parents denied it ever happened. They're almost80 and still deny all the abuse

good for you, and I'm sorry you endured that. That definitely is no man, for only a true man would respect and love children.
I was born in 99 and my biological father always told me “children are to be seen and not heard from” & definitely still to this day has the hardest whooping ever! & most definitely beat me until I stopped crying. Didn’t make sense to me as a child doesn’t make sense to me at 21 years old.
Thankfully I have nothing to do with him today.

@Adrian T "yeah right"? Do you think there aren't still children to this day being beaten, it's not like there's a certain year where it just fully stopped worldwide. It might not be as generally accepted or encouraged anymore but it definitely still happens in a lot of families

I have had a lot of abuse in my life, and I mean a lot. God spared me from sexual abuse and I consider myself lucky. Now looking back on my abusers like an adult, those were broken people with ruined lives . No happy self aware person commits such atrocities. The good thing that came out of this is that I was pretty self aware from an early age and I knew I was on my own. My life is great now

I think most children who grew up in the south in the 50's/60's had a parent who used a belt or switch. My mother was the disciplinarian in our family & switching was her use of punishment. If you were religious, pastors would preach on don't spare the rod. I remember having stripes on my legs for days. When I became a parent I refused to whip my children.
Same here! I refuse to whip my 2 kids! ‼️
I grew up Same exact way I do not will not ever hit my child, children are human they have little feelings so innocent bc they don’t know right from wrong and wiping them sure isn’t the way to teach them they rule by fear. But I forgave my father bc I do believe he was raised the same exact way he did the best he could w his knowledge he had and he did change has we got older and he got older!! I forgive him bc I love him and o had to for myself!!

My mother used extension cords and being the only bi racial child of hers, she abused me most and still to this day treated me horrible. She told me a few years ago that she saw my dad in me and she hated him ,,, so yes bleeding-through my clothes I can relate
My dad was born in 1959 he was beat very badly and he vowed to never beat his kids and never did. My mom was never beat but she would beat me and my sister.
Parents: stop hitting/abusing your kids!

Abuse is as damaging if not worse.
She literally paved the way for so many people on TV as being a black woman. WITHOUT PLASTIC SURGERY

I also got my ass cut regularly by my Grandmother. We all suffer emotionally from this. Overeating. Sexual promiscuity. Anger. It's awful🥺
I am urged to put some ‘peace’ quotes here for people - it is so tragic!! Oprah talks of Gary Zukav changing her life and view - and often of Deepak, but I still don’t see her promote specific peace-changing ideologies which already exist and work in the east, as ways to live and heal. Seek nonviolence in life - in all things, starting with speech which is our first place of action.... can u IMAGINE if for 24 hours no one in the world said anything ‘violent’?? And look at cause and effect fr Buddhism - it just makes sense 👏😘

I grew up with a mom who did not know how to be a mother 💪🥰 but it only made me stronger so I can be a great mom one day
She shared a pretty remarkable story (not being able to sleep well because of that one childhood incident) but what's even more noteworthy is that it took her decades to figure it out - makes you wonder how many people go through life, never "doing the work" to determine why they react to things the way they do, why they have the anger or resentment or addictions they have, etc.
Oprah sharing your trauma and your healing journey gives me hope and relief ❤ thank you so much for your courage and for being you ❤
I didn't knew this, Oprah you are the sweetest lady! Beating a child is unthinkable for any human being. I am still seeing abuse of children all around. When I see that I tell the parents I will call police right away.

I was in a PTSD class for women recently. I had mixed feelings about it. And when my therapist when on maternity leave for a few weeks, I was left alone with my own thoughts. I thought I would get an audiobook, and I have trouble reading and focusing lately. But her book cut right through that. I am sorry what happened to Oprah happened. My trauma cannot even compare, but in many ways it left me equally scared. The book is not a book of coping skills or a way to get out of a situation. It is half memoir and half science, paired uniquely in such a way that it brings you up to the edge of trauma and what caused it. My take on it was that it not only shows how trauma and triggers shape us. I saw it as a door to finding compassion yourself in such a way that you can actually face your problems. I got more out her new book than I ever did out of that class. Thank you, Oprah. I was truly touched.

Dear Oprah, thank you for sharing your story. I’m from Singapore . My tears running down my eyes hearing your story. I was been taken care by my grandma during my childhood and my grandma love me very much. I was always feeling safe with my grandma even when my parents was not around. Today I’m a grandma myself and I always believe to give the best to my own granddaughter so that when she grow up she will always have the beautiful memories of how much her grandma love her. I never believe in beating the young children but speaking and correcting them would be a better way. God has belessed you with a beautiful heart as a person and you are now the most successful now. I always love watching your talk show and has learnt a lot from your story. The bible say god love the little children and god have been watching you from above. God love you and want you to spread the word love to the world.
I wish I could have held her, told her I loved her, reminded her she is beautiful, and protected her.

I can relate to her childhood trauma so much. But just like Oprah, I can see that my trauma has made me so strong and successful. I would not wish abuse upon anyone, but I believe that for me, it turned out to be a blessing in the long run. I learned a lot about the negative side of human beings and I rose above it.

I loved her in the movie, the color purple, things in the movie were things she dealt with. I can imagine the movie opened things up for her. She did good with her life.

I am a first generation Asian woman and I was corporally punished as a child too. It's domestic abuse, though relatives and family members regarded it as a cultural norm, and seem to feel no remorse about it in retrospect... how sad for them, to have such an impoverished mindset.

Some parents wipped their kids in that way because they were so tired and stessed out!! The littlest thing the kid did..OH MY!!!

A lot of black parents have or had that problem (1:50) Instead of communicating and educating a child on what not to do, they beat them. She was a little bitty kid and didn’t know better.
I pray Oprah is delivered from the pain she went through and live the remainder of her life VICTORIOUS.

First time Someone has validated my feelings by knowing they experienced it before too.
Yep it's an awful thing!! I was very common. I was told children should be seen an not heard. I was blessed to have a few family members that stuck up for me. I know what it's like. I heard " don't cry or I'll give you something to cry about". Absolutely you become yes people. No doubt!

This was my home too 🥺 I don't miss my childhood
Me and my 3 siblings were beat on a daily basis with an oak bread board from the time we were 1 year old. I remember my baby brother being covered in bruises because he was “bad”. If we didn’t hold still while we were being beaten, we would be beat some more. One time my mother almost suffocated me to death by sitting on my head to hold me still as she proceed to beat me 100 times on my bare skin. I was 4 years old.

She’s always able to explain this so clearly and I’m able to relate to her pain… it means a lot she came out to speak about this.
My dad and grandfather would touch me at night and sometimes my dad would just open the door and stand there until my mom called for him. He’d just watch me and drink a beer. It always terrified me and my sister. She always tried to protect me from it when she could… but once I spoke out about it, she immediately rejected everything I said after we had a heart to heart… she wouldn’t exactly bring it up them either… but we got somewhere, we were able to break through further than we ever had…. And my mom threw me out when I told her, so I guess my sister just closed back up… but old if I can forgive her for that. I know I can never forgive my mom.

I didn’t grew up with my parents I was raised by my brother and my childhood wasn’t fun either . I grew up in abusive hold . I went throw sexually abuse, I went throw physical abused, I went throw mentally abusive. But it’s life you keep going.

I was never hit but felt lonely as a child and often as an adult sacrificed myself for others to be happy and took myself to all kinds financial crises because I couldn’t say no but now I am starting to see that I was a fool and that as a woman I must stand my grown abs self-advocate!!!
I was in a similar situation , although I had a good childhood, l grew up naive, and gave my friends and relatives money when they told me of their hardships, feeling sorry for them, and wanting to help , but now l realize that it'a not my job to help them get out of debt, as they don't stop hinting for my help. They are never satisfied. I finally " put the brakes on".
She was sexually abused too and became pregnant nd lost it

It is indeed these experiences that shape who we become, I find comfort in knowing that we have a choice to live life with love and gratitude which ultimately sets us free from these traumatic experiences. Oprah you are an inspiration to many!
I learned at a very young age that there is a evil being and a wonderous loving being. The evil being will use those who are closest to you, to destroy you. The wonderous loving being will give you the power to overcome, what the evil being puts before you . I was 4 maybe 5 years old at the time, when I learned, this powerful lesson .
What happened to us informs who we are today, indeed.

Crimes against children, is the greatest sin. Stop the abuse. STOP the abuse of children. STOP!
I was never abused beyond being spanked by my adoptive father on my bare behind. One thing I think parallels battered spouses is that child abuse was not the fault of the victim/survivor. It was the total fault of the abuser/s. It is a sign of putting your past in the proper perspective by saying nothing that happened to me was my fault. I was not abused because I disobeyed or did not do something fast enough. It was because my abuser was acting irrationally. Nothing I could do or not do would change anything. I have watched videos on UA-cam about very young children being horribly abused, but they are the lucky survivors in that they were not killed by their parents. That they, as Ms. Winfrey was able to, go on to heal of their trauma, is a wondrous miracle and shows the strength of the human spirit inside them. They are the proof that children being abused can become adults who are loving, kind, and able to be married, run a household, and raise their own children in a warm, safe environment.
I’ve always thought this way.
But, when I say to people “that murderer or pedophile I guarantee had the same done to them” and all the prisoners have had loads of abuse and abandonment, people role their eyes and get mad at me.

I am so fortunate to see Oprah and hear her speak about her upbringing, I felt connected with her.
In order for Oprah or anyone who has a past to move forward. They, we must forgive forgive ourselves forgive our family members or anyone who impacts our lives in such a way.
Easy to say and difficult to do..
If we choose not to forgive we create a wall in front of us that cannot be climbed. And we carry that like a weight around our neck.
If we choose to forgive we break the chains of bandage that hold us back from our true potential. Chains that all of us share who are human beings. A weight around our necks.
For myself I choose to forgive. And I am so thankful that my life has been such a blessing as a result of my action.. To include the good and the bad about myself. Understanding that no human being is perfect and we all fall short.
GOD bless you Oprah for recognizing what is in front of you. And for working towards true forgiveness.

Horrible that parents can’t see how hurtful harming children does with a weapon or even a hand. Children are small. It really affects them and Not being able to stop the person from hurting you can mess with your mind. Adults are just a mess!
