He understands everything about musical composition. Delivery. Emotion. Instrumental interaction. Arrangment. Placement. Dynamics. Accents. Timing. Melody. Lyrical content. Tbe big picture. Everything. The plays the kit the way a great pianist plays the keyboard. All praise and due respect to Mr. Haake.

  • @SocialGore
    @SocialGore 12 років тому

    @RythmicalParoxysm I guess you can look at a polyrythm that way, but it's still a polyrhytm. The overlay of the 4/4 against the other time signature causes the accent to fall in a different place everytime, yes. But so does syncopation, and there is a difference between the two. I'm not sure why you are trying to explain this to me, besides, you are using a very broad description of it. And yes, it's always 4/4 AND something else, that causes these "odd note groupings".

  • @Dieterbe
    @Dieterbe 13 років тому

    I don't get this. is the sound being miked by the camcorder? it sounds roomy and boomy enough for it, but in that case it's amazing you hear so little of the other instruments.
    OTOH the drums sound pretty well defined, so it could be coming (to some extent) from the mics, and that would explain why the other musicians don't come through the mics so much, but then the drums could have been mixed so much better, or is this purposely done to create a reverberant live sound? I'm confused
