They will have no idea that it’s keto. My spouse wants me to stop watching your videos. I watch them to relax and end up making so many of the dishes. Nothing has disappointed yet.
Why would you stop watching the videos? It certainly wouldn't be good for you to mix them with a usual diet including sugar. If you are doing a healthy version of keto diet, then they are what we're supposed to be eating. If you look at ketofocus video about why do keto you will understand. Or watch others channels who use keto and intermittent fasting like Beat Diabetes, Dr Ken Berry, Eric Berg DC, Thomas deLauer, etc etc. Good luck

I only ask because I read somewhere that you can "over-aerate" a custard by using a whisk, & should only use a spoon or spatula. I just made this pie again. But, I altered the recipe a little. Not on the pie, the whipped cream topping. I added one scoop of Cacao Bliss to the topping recipe. I now have Chocolate Cream Pie with chocolate whipped cream topping. Yum...

This just happened to me:( I am so disappointed. I also did not realize she used a keto sweetened chocolate chips, I thought she meant unsweetened no sugar baker bar. This is what I melted already. I guess I am going to have to put some sweetener in the chocolate mixture if I can get this egg custard done correctly.
Will all the measurements work here in Australia? Because our cup sizing is different to yours, most recipes have the grams as well as cup size is all and with the eggs being at 150-160 is that Fahrenheit? We use Celsius here so I’m just checking it all before I make it lol, ty 🙂
I have an electric stove. I set it on 4 and the eggs scrambled:( I was constantly whisking. What am I doing wrong? Can I try just the yokes? not sure that will make a difference. I so want to make this, I completely tired myself out standing there the whole time. any suggestions?

Looks great, I want to make it but the problem with cup and spoon measurements is that they are different in different countries and just to exacerbate this problem,the percentage difference is not the same e.g between a cup and a tablespoon. And I have many flops because of this.Which is why I use recipes with gram measurements…because they are universal. The other thing I have thought of doing is buying a set of American cooking measures (I’m in Australia) but as I don’t know what country’s measurements system you are using…..

Add sugar gradually, a spoonful at a time and beat well after each addition. Add vanilla and fold in pecans. Place in very well-greased 9-inch pie tin. Build up well around side and edges. Bake at 300 degrees F or less for 55 minutes or until lightly browned. FILLING: Melt chocolate chips in double boiler. Add hot water. Cool. Add vanilla. Cool thoroughly and fold into whipped cream. Place into cooled meringue shell. Let set several hours before cutting.

I was wondering the same thing, since you've already got a cup of erythritol in with the eggs, are you using sweetened melted chocolate or unsweetened? I am pretty sure the choc zero chips are sweetened. that seems like a lot of sweetener. I might have to have a play!
Cacao bliss is high carb!! It contains coconut sugar as the second ingredient. Also, their label is misleading. It says that it has 35 calories per serving. When you subtract fat calories (1.5g per serving * 9 kcal) and protein calories (1g per serving * 4 kcal), what you are left with is carb calories. So, there are 17.5 carb kcal, which gives around 4 net carbs per serving. Not acceptable on keto!
This discrepancy is found with most food labels and it is because regulations require macros to be rounded to the nearest whole number. Calories are counted using the unrounded numbers first and then the macros are displayed in nearest whole numbers. It’s crazy but it’s just how the FDA requires it.
I noticed that most keto recipes and nutritional info is high fat and high cholesterol. I rather have triple the calories and carbs than cholesterol and fat. It’s called moderation and keep active for an hour after eating whatever.
Wait... Wait... WAIT, you're saying whether they are keto or not just tell people you're serving them a lovely chocolate cream pie, and, not that it is approximately 660 calories, and roughly 68 g of fat per 1/8 slice of pie... THAT's a Pretty HEFTY secret to swallow!!!😯
When you go to a friend’s house and they serve you a regular French Silk Chocolate Pie made with a chocolate cookie or graham cracker crust do they present the pie and divulge the macros of anywhere from 47-65g of fat PLUS the 25-35g of sugar per slice? Are you okay with them keeping THAT secret? It’s the nature of this sort of pie.
Regular chocolate cream pie can have up to 1000 calories per slice. Most people are going to cut smaller slices of this than 1/8 of the pie but I portioned it out like that because that’s normally a traditional pie cut. Feel free to get 16 slices out of this pie (which is doable) and the macros will be cut by half.
@@KetoFocus Sorry, wasn't so apparent that I was just kidding around... I frequently try to tell my best friend that alot of Keto items are actually better for you because they don't necessarily have any more fat than the non-keto version, but they usually have little to no added sugar‼️🤷🏻♂️ ✌🏻🥂🖖🏻

It sounds like the eggs got too hot and curdled. Lower the temp next time. You might be able to save it by straining out the curdled eggs
