This is like the best weekly cooking school!! - I learn so much about keto, keto friendly ingredients and different cooking techniques. And your recipes always work for me, so delicious. Thank you!!
Aww that makes me sooo happy to hear. That's exactly what I've been aiming for, for the last 2 years!! I want my recipes to be the best possible and always turn out as good as possible for people! You're very welcome!!!
I've learned (the hard way) that the gelatin HAS TO bloom and be heated to dissolve before using or it will not set. I LOVE your recipes. 🥰 So awesome! Chocolate is one of my favorite cream pies. I like banana and lemon, too. 😋
I think you should try this cheese cake.(4 1/2- 8 Oz packages of cream cheese) (1cup granulated monk fruit) ( 6 large eggs) (1/4 cup sour cream) ( 1 Tbsp Vanilla extract) SO GOOD!
Not a fan of almond flour crusts and knew i could count on you for a great crust. I'm going to use this crust recipe to make a quiche this week.. thanks sir all the great recipes! (I may add some garlic powder to the crust to make it a bit more savory😉)
looks great. Made your salted caramel ice cream yesterday, tasted incredible although we can't get allulose in the UK so the sugary stuff was grainy. Looking forward to cooking more. Thanks
We have Red Robin Restaurants in Arizona. They have a thin crust pizza with a delicious taste and mouth feel. Have any thoughts on ketogenic pizza crust?
Believe me it is one of the banes of my existence along with french macaroons and pasta . I've probably tried over 20 version for dinner, some barely edible unfortunately but one of these days I will get there.
This looks SO good, Alycia! Thank you for your expertise, in crafting these amazing desserts! I was wondering … you mentioned that you added peanut butter to the filling when you made it at the bakery … How much do you add, and at what point in the process do you add it? I am a huge sucker for pb/choc combo! Btw, I am so proud of you for hitting your goal weight and, especially, for doing it without any cheating. Congratulations on getting married too! God bless!
This was just what I was looking for thank you so much! Can Xanthum gum be substituted sweet or savory? It thickens nicely but the slimy feel is off putting.
This looks absolutely delicious! I'm wondering if you have tried making it with allulose or bocha sweet? Thanks for all your wonderful recipes and especially for your tips while you are preparing them.
Thanks! I have not but I believe it would work with allulose but it is less sweet. I haven't experimented with bocha sweet yet, been meaning to just haven't had the chance. You're very welcome!!
If you need a new immersion blender give the Mueller ultra stick 500 watt 9 speed. I make soap with mine. I don't really use one I the kitchen. Soap is a notorious stick killer. Most overheat and die or are not powerful enough to to whip the soap. And its a beautiful tool if that matters lol. Its like 35 bucks and has a 2 dollar off coupon at least link I got mine from. I have had mine almost 2 years
Butter is the cheapest I can find at the grocery store. Arrowroot powder I order from thrive market. The Ghirardelli cocoa is at walmart, I tried to find a link on Amazon but I could find one.
A question I have on making pie crust is why not chill all the ingredients. Adding cold, cold butter to other room temperature ingredients in my mind defeats the purpose of chilling on the first mix.
I've never had a problem with the frozen butter melting from just room temp dry ingredients. If you do it right it isn't at room temp for more than a few minutes. Then you add ice water.
@@KetoUpgrade thanks for replying. I wanted a pie crust (non-keto) that wasn't just tender but an actual flaky crust. Where there was a bit of a crunch sound when it was cut and eaten. By keeping every bit cold even the flour I get what I want. Hey, I watch your vids all the time. Thanks for all the info you give us.
Will this still be good without adding heavy cream because I'm Lactose intolerance? The gelatin ingredient will still make it pudding delicious? P.S. I will make this recipe with the heavy cream in it for when I make it for my guests/company.
You can just make the pudding but I don't think you would be able to have a nice slice without the extra gelatin but with the extra gelatin it might be too stiff. Maybe 1 less teaspoon of gelatin.
Nice! You can use many different crusts. I put it in the blog post because I didn't think about it of course while shooting. But I linked a bunch of different crusts in the blog post.

Thanks for the recommendation.
Do you ever use agar agar as an alternative to gelatin?
I haven't but google says they are equal parts. But again even different kinds of gelatin act differently sometimes.
This has me salivating. Q: would psyllium husk or powder be an acceptable alternative to oat fiber?
The only thing I've subbed for oat fiber is bamboo fiber. I think psyllium might be too absorbent.
Have you used any Glucomannan or Guar Gum? Don't have Arrow Root in my pantry any more.
I haven't but I'm sure the ratios can be found on line.
Do you have a recipe for pie crust that has no coconut flower? I have a friend who is allergic to any form of coconut.
I used keto connects before I figured out a coconut flour crust. But normally you can swap out the coconut flour for 3x almond flour.
@@KetoUpgrade thank you very much for the tip.
@@cherylnott5759 you're welcome.
Which brand butter did you use and arrowroot powder? And where's the link for the coco powder you use?

Wondering if i can use agar powder instead of gelatin
Yes just look up the ratio needed to do the same job.
