Yes, but often people are too lazy to return bad products. That's the reason some companies say you can return a product for 10 days because they know a lot of people won't use it. It's still a bad product in my opinion because it's a lie.

They even said it on this episode. Long term it will hurt the brand. Even if people are "too lazy" to return items, they will no longer be shopping at that store

That mirror idea is immoral to its core. Even if it’s used with full transparency (which it wont) it’s still encouraging people to stay at unhealthy body weights by assisting a false view of themselves. I’m trying to lose weight myself and after years of gaining weight I lost 30 pounds in the last two months. No fake self perception of myself accomplished that. I did it because I faced the reality which was my poor eating habits.

At the end after being turned down she says, “The skinny mirror is all about making people feel good about themselves. The intention for the retailers to buy them is so that their customers feel good, not to deceive them.” I’m sure she doesn’t have any clue what it’s like to be the slightest bit overweight and how the mirror would be an issue with what she is proposing. The machines were pretty expensive, but I’d be willing to bet that’s not far off what it costs to buy a brand new vending machine or something. Just another scam tactic to make sales and it is really dishonest. They are risking that once people look in their own mirror at home and see the truth, that they might return the item because it does not look that good on them. I'm only on the first pitch and am not in the least surprised she sold so many so far. Too many people want that fantasy world to feel better about themselves. I can handle that I am no longer young and pretty because I'm in my 70s and am aging naturally. My goal is to be comfortable and not scare the daylights out of anyone who glances in my direction. So glad I am on my secluded island across from the beach away from superficial people who are delusional liars and cheats.

I love it when not just one, but two people have an idea that they believe is fantastic, but it's just stupid.
I actually do have a great idea. It's freeze-dried, powdered water. It comes in a hermetically sealed plastic bag and basically lasts forever. It could be a life saver if you get really drunk and wake up in the middle of a desert. I call the product - *"Instant Water - Just Add Water."* The amazing part is, you can produce a pint of water or 10,000 gallons. Simply open the bag, pour some of the invisible powder (no unhealthy-looking coloration) into a container, and add water. It really is that easy. Want 1-gallon of water? Simply add 1-gallon of water.
