Which Rock/Metal/Country song should I react to next 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ DROP EM 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽😎
Ozzy Osborne is the lead vocalist.
Boston "Foreplay/Longtime"
Negasonic Teenage Warhead by Monster Magnet. Stoner Rock at it's finest.
LayedBakDFR Izzy Ozzy Osborne on the vocals
PASS!
That is everyone's favorite hot mess grandpa Mr Ozzy Osborne
I think guitarist is Toni iommi
@@jamesh1208 Sure is. Toni Iommi
Izzy Osborn vocals, Tony Iommi guitar, Bill Ward Drums and Geezer Butler Bass.

Black Sabbath is quite literally the beginning of metal
Yes and slightly no. The origin of 'metal' (namewise) started with Iron Butterfly. Black Sabbath is what took it to become something far greater.
@@drewjn still.. made me cringe a little when rock n roll/country was used in the same sentence as Black sabbath. Lol.
I guess we’re just going to pretend Deep Purple and Zeppelin didn’t exist, huh? More like he discovered one third of the original (un)Holy Trinity that created the foundation for what we’d call metal
The Butterfly were a proud acid rock band, but I agree, except that it goes back all the way to "The Kinks", "You Really Got Me", and hell, the vocals in rock, hard rock and metal trace back to Screamin' Jay Hawkins "I put A Spell On You". Sabbath created the specific niche though! OK, inspired it! lol What I am saying is, I agree?
He spoke of the origin of metal. If we want to talk on the influence, you are being too shallow in the search. Those bands can't be insulted, they are legends; but origins you need to go back to Tommy Johnson and specifically Robert Johnson. Decades before all of that.
Without influences like that, Sabbath all the way down to Hendrix would have lost their greatest muse. Even their own comments paid homage.
We have to add Dio to your list though. In regards to influence in the genre, Dio is a king that was as revered as Ozzy. Then drop to Ian Anderson as Jethro Tull.
Tony Iommi, the guitarist, is missing two fingertips and still manages the be the founder of metal guitar. What a legend.
randy still better though
He had to tune his guitar differently to compensate for his missing fingertips and that influenced an entire genre of music. Crazy
Yes sir Senor Iommi!
A friend showed Tony Iommi a record by jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, who had use of only his index and middle fingers on his left hand (apparently he could wedge the other fingers on a string or two and use them occasionally, but I don't have the sources to back that), soon after Tony's sheet metal factory accident that left him without fingertips on his left ring and middle fingers. Anyone who's played guitar knows how devastated Tony must have been. That's usually a death sentence for a guitarist's career. But, anyone who knows of Django Reinhardt knows that very few, if any, could tell by his playing that he was so limited.
Tony was so impressed by Reinhardt's playing, despite his disability, that he practiced, honed his technique, and created a style still emulated to this day. He's a true legend and someone who teaches by example the virtue of perseverance.
Nothing is more metal than an industrial accident.
For me this song is so powerful and my favourite moment in this song is
“Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight
They leave that role to the poor”
Great lyrics and meaning behind this song makes this song one of the most powerful song in Rock period
Yeah 100% I can;t understand why anyone could not know what the song was about.
Think it was out around the end of the Vietnam War.
Congratulations sir, you found the beginning of it all. Frontman is Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist is Tony Iommi, bassist is Geezer Butler, drummer is Bill Ward
The album is called "Paranoid". Released in 1970
For the most part such a simplistic song, and still better then 99% of rock music out today
@@dillontschurwald461 Absolutely.
might i add that iommi plays with two prosthetic finger tips. also this vid is about the government being war mongers
the original was randy rhodes tony came after he died i believe could be wrong
Seeing someone giggle like a child, because the exposure to pure musical genius, and reacting with pure joy.. so genuine. There is a reason you have so many subs. Keep doing you, my guy
“Who’s the singer”
Ozzy Osbourne The Prince of Darkness🤟
🤟 indeed
And...The Guardian of Metal
@@soulessslime433 and a godfather of rock and roll
@The Average Gamer nrly but I respect your opinion
@@shadyman1583 No that's Robert Johnson.
Finally, a youtuber that doesnt pause every 5 seconds and when you do pause it's just like 5 words. Perfection. Also, splendid to see someone enjoy this music.
dubborino he’s definitely one of the best reactions out there! IMO
You finished that man, finish that manmm !!!
dubborino except for the fact that a true reaction channel probably should be pausing throughout it and giving their opinion and then at the end give their overall opinion of it and highlight areas of it that were good and bad and then putting in their own knowledge in some form or another say like if it’s history then go into more detail about the time period and explain some extra things that they know or if it’s music then going into more detail on that
@@thomascrothers9884 100%
I mean if you want to hear the music you can just go listen to the song. The whole point of a reaction video IS pausing and saying thoughts, feelings, overall opinions what they like, impression etc. Thats the point of a reaction, otherwise it is just a guy standing there while the entire video plays, adding 0 value and 0 extra stuff to the video. Not hating on the guy, he is a good reaction channel, but saying "finally someone who doesnt pause" defeats the purpose of reaction videos
The original meaning of the song was about Vietnam and the threat of nuclear extinction in the cold war. How warmongers in the East and West created the military industrial complex and fought wars for profit.
The video came later and combines dystopian themes from the book 1984 with the modern War on Terror. More warpigs looking to profit from the poor fighting and turning on their own people out of fear.
The red symbolises the blood of the people and is a rallying cry to stand up against oppression before the war pigs kill everyone anyway.
That was the best explanation I have heard so far. Even better than mine. You nailed it on the head!
depends on which band member you ask one said it was about nam one said war in general and one said evil of the government in general
@@raveousone I'd say all three
@@raveousone I'd say all three
Like we dont know that
Not the official video. Ozzy is the singer. Yes that Ozzy. Black Sabbath influenced about every metal band you hear today. Legends.
Is this THE Riley Martin I heard on Coast to Coast many years ago?
Like Justin said the (cool) video has nothing to with the song. At that time (in 1970) there wasn’t such a thing as music video 😀
Justin Davis no, the Riley Martin from C2C is a much older gentleman, he’s gotta be in his 70s by now
@Riley Martin spoken the truth my man
Greta Can Fleet is fucking amazing
I admire this young man for being so open to try and enjoy rock classics. Specially Black Sabbath.
"SHARON! Tell this man who I am!"
😂😂😂😂
The Bass player is always under rated on this. Man he was amazing.
THANK YOU!!!! GEEZER!!!!
Finally! Some love for Geezer!
Brr Brr Deng
Listen to Hand Of Doom and tell me if Geezer is underrated.
Geezer could never be underrated he is the godfather to all those who came after him. The man is a bass genius and combined with tony its unbeatable
The song was a protest song to Vietnam. It was meant to describe the horrors of war.
Sabbath is a British band it was a song against war in general
Mike p yeah but it was written during the Vietnam war so it’s fairly safe to assume it was fresh on their minds.
Ozzy has said that they had no idea what was going on Vietnam. So I guess it’s more like a general anti-war song. Anyway a true classic.
Jose cadena this video has a lot of fascist imagery and WWII and Nazis hit a lot closer to home for Brits than Vietnam did
Scandi Snowgirl Black Sabbath didn’t make a video for this song that I know of, it was made during the Vietnam war when many artists made songs in protest to it.
2:11 when the vocals start dude gets that big smile.... we all do man
How can you not?!
Has anyone else heard the Cake cover of this song? One of my favorite covers of all time
Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin
Yessss!!!!!!! I'm scrolling through to like and comment on all Dazed and Confused comments!!!!
YES
the best song ever created
Dazed and Confused by Jake Holmes, made famous by The Yardbirds/Led Zeppelin
Pantera - Cowboys from hell, Walk, Cemetery gates, Domination (Live in Moscow), I'm broken
Cemetery Gates is definitely my favorite by Pantera!
Great choices, could add in Five minutes alone, floods or the sleep.
RE- SPECT WALK
Goddamn Electric would have to be my recommendation
That first "tasty lick" of the guitar is so iconic
Right?!
I seriously love that you take the time to appreciate every note. That's real music appreciation.
Your reaction pumped me up as much as the song. That was sweet!
Stargazer by Rainbow. It has some of the greatest guitar playing, drumming and singing of all time. I consider it to be the greatest vocal performance thus far.
Gates of Babylon bro
2:15 your smile when Ozzy starts singing says it all. Great reaction to an amazing song.
Haha I love watching people discover metal and I died laughing “who’s the singer?” Ozzy is such a legend people forget why
It’s an indictment of the military industrial complex and the cavalier attitude of world leaders toward war.
Love when I see people react to music they don’t normally listen too, shows you have a great appreciation for music! Love the channel dude
Ozzie Osborne was singing this at age 15 dude in the UK...Black.Sabbath had the industrial sound and tv censors called it Devils Music.....it rocked then and still is VALID!!!
Toni Iommi is the lead guitarist for Sabath. He lost the tips of his ring and middle fingers in an accident and played with prosthetic tips. His play style is due to not only the accident but he has the strings slightly loosened on his guitar to allow him to still play.
Metallica - One, Master of puppets, Fade to black, for whom the bell tolls, whiplash, spit out the bone
One and spit out the bone FOR SURE
@@gavinmiller1998 what about Fade to black and master of puppets kek?
If you doin Metallica forgot all them songs you gotta play the wait, the small hours or crash course in brain surgery.. no doubt
Metallica is overrated.
@@royhullegie a bit but so is your simp looking feminine face roy hullegue
This song is from the early 70's, so it's not an original video , but it suits the theme of the song pretty well.
i just get so much joy out of him being happy
Black sabbath draws out the music like a good lover, with deft hands and sweet but ever demanding touch and leave you laying back exhausted and gasping for breath.
"Who's the singer?"
Look up Ozzy Osbourne, then also check some of his interviews, dude sings better than he talks lol
Well he didn’t always talk like that (or at least not like THAT). The drugs kinda got to him in the later years. Plus it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s had a stroke or two. I blame the bat blood that he most likely swallowed. When you’re you’re right though. Bloke had the voice of a demonic angel.
Better check his younger photos too. Granpa ozzy is a DISH! (Like the brits says in the 70s)😂
The basic concept for the song itself was how the common man can be sent to war as an Expendable asset with little to no will of Their Own, while those in power or those with money got to Simply stay behind and reap the benefits of the common man's sacrifice.
The line “satan laughing spreads his wings” in context is such a hard fucking line lol such a bad ass and deep song.
I'm 54. I was a huge Sabbath fan in High school, so what? 35 years? Glad to see Sabbath influencing the younger generation!
When you listen to rock music, specially the firt superbands like cream, led zepp, purple, sabbath, you must either wear headphones or use speakers.
You cannot listen rock or metal if you are not using headphones or speakers, that is powerfull music and there is so much going on, the bass, keyboards, guitars, drumms, vocals, violins, etc.
Nah you definetly can
The video doesn’t go with the song. The song was made before there was music videos. You might be able to find live performances of Black Sabbath, but they have no “music videos” from this era. ✌️
yeah that video is garbage, doesnt match up to the meaning of war pigs completely. Kinda messes with the song
forgetful47 Agreed.
The video doesn't go with the song?? Is that a joke? This is probably the greatest video for a song that I have ever seen. Does anyone know who made it?
Paul Pena you’re joking? The video detracts from the song and doesn’t fit.
@@paulpena5040 there is a list of things that dont match up, it was obviously made for something else. Although it has similarities in what is displayed and the lyrics its just not in sync overall. Not one portrayal of war or combat was shown, instead you have what appears to be a communist run country and the horrors that Intel about its work force
The legendary Tony Iommi is on that Guitar you like. Could argue that he is a "Founding Father" of Heavy Metal.
I'd not long been born when this was released in 1970 as a single an was brought up on this an many other great rock musicians 🤘🤘
Vocals - Ozzy Osbourne
Guitar - Toni Iommi (he has 2 fingers missing, but fixed it with prosthetic wax)
Black Sabbath invented heavy metal 🤘🤘🤘
War pigs is basically an anti war song
I don't mean to disrespect this answer, but it's actually two finger TIPS missing.
@@megamaniac7402 Yeah meant to say that my mistake
Finger tips missing, not the whole fingers!!!
They are speaking about war. WW2 era and Vietnam era as well. How these rich leaders of the world make a lot of money off of war. How it's unjust and sending the average person or poor men to a war they need because only they die on the battle fields, no the rich and powerful. They just make money behind the lines of fire. But the War Pigs, which are the power rich men are going to soon face God's judgment for their wrong doings. And last, Satan has deceived them in their minds and they are left to be judged by God. So, "Satan laughing spread his winds!" Takes off, gone by by but will be judged at the end for sure!!!👌
I love watching reaction videos. Don’t know why, just do.
I just don’t understand how some people have never heard songs like this before. I LOVE music, II’ve never pigeonholed myself like a lot of people do.
I can go from listening to metal and skip right over to a musical score, to the blues and on over to opera. Variety is the spice of life.
so many brothers of rap discovering the best of metal and black sabbath always does it they are one of the best or the best in my opinion of all time, great job keep rockin
I'm really addicted to all these people from hiphop/r&b discovering rock and metal.
Its about war and all those it affects while the war- makers ( the politicians)) sit nice and safe and cozy....Its the innocents who are harmed.
This is the perfect mix of drums and guitar
What most people fail to realize is that THIS is the kind of music we old ones grew up with...hence, our current state of mind... I LOVE that you love it......
Just joined your group. I enjoy every genre of music, so enjoy all your Reactions.
The singer is Ozzy Osbourne he's one of Legends of the metal genre :D
erika burgos I love crazy train that song from him is fire
First heavy metal band ever. Song is from 1970. Ozzy Osbourne is the singer, Tony Iommi the guitarist, Geezer Butler the bassist and Bill Ward the drummer.
I always find it so ironic, that politicians, especially the right wing & their followers, would say heavy metal bands were evil & destructive to mankind, yet their music is all about, calling out those politicians for their evil & destruction to mankind!!! Great reaction!!
You have to do 'Heaven and Hell' next.
Heaven and Hell is Black Sabbath with Dio as lead singer. Dio and Ozzy are both giants. You heard Ozzy, now you need to witness Dio.
P.s. The video is just a far later tacked on conceptualization, loosely based on the theme. I wont belittle it as a vid, but I believe it weakens the impact that the song's origin and lyrics have. So I feel it mostly distracts first time listeners from the complexities and brilliance the song itself has.
The wizard is ozzy at his best though
Since you are doing early 70s music, try some Led Zeppelin and their songs "Dazed and Confused" and "When the Levee Breaks"
This is exactly what music is missing now a days. Pure Passion and Talent. Raw Passion!
Guitarist is tony iommi! Tony lost a few finger tips on the last day of his job as a metal worker. Due to his injury he had to custom make his own finger tips and tune his guitar down so he could play. It also contributed to sabbaths distinct sound.
"Who is the main singer in this group?" How does someone in this world not know who Ozzy Osbourne is?
I would agree... But how cool is it that we get to watch someone, that loves music, enjoy listening to it for the first time. Pretty awesome.
I wonder what his reaction was when he found out this came out in the late 60s
Not everyone is raised the same way. I was raised in a very religious family and didn’t discover Black Sabbath and other famous bands until I was in high school. But kudos to him for branching out and experiencing something different
There were multiple singers including dio so can’t blame him to much but yeah he should have known ozzy
The same world where people thoigh post malone discovered hin 🤣
Ozzy baby!!! Metal should be thankful.
The guitarist Tony Iomi lives about a mile down the road from me in Birmingham UK, often see him in the pub before coronavirus
This song is by far is my favorites from that decade!🤘🤘
The Godfather of Metal Ozzy
No. Mr iommi is the godfather of metal
@Salem yes Ozzy had a drug problem and getting kicked out of the band was probably a good thing
Lovin your style my man.. Always cool to see someone expand themselves beyond there own bubble. Good on ya brother.
For a total EARGASM you gotta check out Crossroads by Cream reunion version . Eric Clapton is on fire
Keep up the great work
Peace n Respect
This is the beginning of heavy metal.. Not a band in a box!! enjoy your adventure down this road!
Glad you young pups are digging this tune.... ignore the video... there are NO or very few video clips from bands in those days.... Try Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Symptom of the Universe, Fairies Wear Boots, Sweet Leaf, After Forever, Children of the Grave, Supernaut, Hole in the Sky, Meglomania, Spiral Architect..... actually most things until 1980.....
I like that you called this rock, because although Black Sabbith is an iconic metal band, Ozzy doesn't like the term metal, he prefers "hard rock", and if the Ozzman says it's rock then it's rock
Locomotive Breath by Jethro Tull
One of the greatest songs ever written.
This song is 40;years old and still rocks
You like that guitar?
React to Stevie Ray Vaughan- Voo Doo Child live at Austin City Limits
Any Stevie works. Named my son Vaughan after him. Great guitar player 👍
Worthless Fiat great is an understatement 😂srv is an animal. The only person since him that I’ve heard play with the same ferocity is Philip sayce. Nobody else even comes close, and that’s saying something because srv isn’t even my favorite guitarist (Clapton is)😂
Or little wing a Hendrix cover
Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You
this was written during the vietnam war in protest...the band is british, and many britans also protested the war like rolling stones and the beatles.
This is one of those songs that you HAVE TO listen to with headphones on. And crank it loud!
Listen to "Sympathy for the devil" - rolling stones
React to Ozzy Osbourne No More Tears
I saw a lot of people answering the lead singer question, but Tony Iomi is the guitarist. These guys were the pioneers of metal. Check out NIB too, if you haven't.
Been a fan since 72 when I was 12 I saw a neighborhood basement band banging out paranoid. As each abbum came out I bought them. For me back then music was Sabbath, zeppelin, and deep purple
I think it’s funny how he asked for us to explain the video but if he would’ve followed the lyrics he would have comprehended it
Dylan Lawson he needs the help thats all
Hey, liking Rock? ... have you had a taste of Aussie Rock yet? React: AC/DC .... "Thunderstruck", "Back in Black", "You shook Me All Night Long".
Geoff Keil why not any Bon Scott?
AC/DC - Big Balls.
Give him something to laugh about.
Cant forget Shoot to Thrill

I fucking love all these channels popping up of traditionally hip hop/rap artists discovering Rock and Roll man. The themes between rock and rap not only overlap but intertwine. The fight against injustice and the overwhelming message of banding together to fight oppression. It brings so much joy to my heart to see these two communities coming together to see how we are alike rather than different.
One of the first Metal songs! Sabbath Rules!!!!!
Oldie but a goodie, “Epic” by Faith No More.
LayedbakDFR hope this was you Liking my request! Killer bass line and the man of a thousand voices, Mr. Mike Patton. This is from the early 90s. So many more rad records to dig into. ✌🏻✌🏻
Its it.
Hearing the pioneers of metal 1969 young ozzy Osbourne
War Pigs is a master piece to me. I started listening to Black Sabbath when I was 6, which was right around 1971. This song is what started me playing guitar. I started playing in 76 and haven't stopped.
Singer is the legendary Ozzie Osborne, and the lead guitarist is Toni Iommi (referred to as the father of metal as this band were among the first to adopt a down tuned/heavier sounding guitar) this songs from the mid 70s I think so could've been about 'nam (fan made video this looks like)
If you're gonna do another Black Sabbath song, please do Paranoid.
Please react to Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train or Mr Crowley
Yo dope song to start with. I say diary of a madman by ozzy next. Or go with some zeppelin
It's amazing to see how far this channel has grown, as well as your overall production value, since these older videos. You're killing it man, keep up the fantastic work!!
My all time fave from Black Sabbath,, Tony lit it up with the guitar
React to Holy Diver by the rock legend himself Ronnie James DIO
How can this be the video. This computer technology was not invented when this song came out in 1970.
Video created much later than the song, there was no video when the song was originally released.
DavidGigg I know there is no official video for this song. That was part of the point I was trying to make.
yeah.i've seen this before. its a pretty well done fan made video.
Fan made video
Yes go down the Metal rabbit hole! You won't regret!
I really appreciate your videos because you’re so honest and open to things you’ve never heard that the rest of us have been in love with for the long time. Thank you sir
Lead singer is none other than Ozzy Osbourne... not sure about the guitarist's name. And the concept of the video is the evil corruption of government and politics and what it costs some people
The guitarist is Tony lommi
Tony Iommi is the guitarist
The video has nothing to do with the song. The song came out in 1970, there was no video made for the song. This is just some fan-made video.
You are not sure about the guitarist's name.....Come on, man, are you kidding me or are you just crazy?
Troll along bud, not my era of rock and I dont memorize names very well. Get over it
The king, Lord if you will, of rock and roll metal🖤🖤🖤
Just remember, this song came out 53 yrs. ago (1970). It's still as relevant now as it was then. Black Sabbath...the forerunners of HEAVY METAL! I remember rushing out to buy the album for my home and a cassette for my car the day after I heard their first song. I didn't get to enjoy it long that year because I got it in Nov. 1970 and was about to get drafted so I joined in order to choose the branch of service I chose (Marines 70-76).
The master of the riff, the icon Mr. Tony Iommi the GodFather of Heavy Metal on guitar
Hey yall Ozzy is still with us may God bless him
Alot of the Sabbath reactors I've watched have no idea this is Ozzy singing. Thats right! That crazy mumbling British guy from that Osbournes show.
Minds blown?
You seem like you'd love Black Sabbath. Very chilled out music and they have the esteem of being the first ever metal band. I'd say listen to their first 2 albums if you wanna know more about what they are about.
Tony Iommi is the lead guitarist I wanna say the whole time. He briefly started another Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio while Ozzy was getting his shit together and rejoined the band for a bit, but he couldn't call it Black Sabbath so he called it "Heaven and Hell" after their first album with Dio in the band.
Also, the video has absolutely nothing to do with the song unless it was made specifically for the song later because this track was back in the 70s before MTV or anything like that, no music videos for anything.
