    Song: "War Pigs"
    ~ LYRICS ~
    "War Pigs"
    Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
    Evil minds that plot destruction
    Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
    Death and hatred to mankind
    Poisoning their brainwashed minds
    Oh lord yeah!
    Politicians hide themselves away
    They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds
    Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'til their judgement day comes
    Yeah!
Now in darkness world stops turning
    Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs at the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees the war pig's crawling
    Begging mercy for their sins
    Satan laughing spreads his wings
    oh lord yeah!

What makes this song so brilliant and effective is that it doesn't mention any person, country, organization, event, or war. Instead it is vague and generic, making its message a permanently relevant and timeless criticism of human nature, rather than a divisive one-sided take on a single event.

God works in mysterious ways. I'm no saint and don't claim to be. But this is starting now. There is no denying it. People need to stop all the hate and bitterness before it's too late. In 1970 when I was 7 years old, I asked Santa Claus for this album. Christmas morning was an exciting day as i received what I asked for. I asked mon if I could play my new album on the stereo. She said lets wait for grandma and grandpa to get here and we'll all sit and listen together. Grandma and grandpa showed up, the record was played, mom went into hysterics, and I went to therapy. I still have that album, it's one of my favorites.

Maybe because he was slashed on drink so often but he goes through more rudiments in one song then I will list and in out of syncopation seamlessly over and over. Apice held the ship in his absences but the smooth creativity is most all Ward.

Send all their asses over there to fivmght since they want war.
Man really think about it. Could your imagine you are already a huge millionaire, say you have $30,000,000. Then somebody tells you you can make millions more, but you are going to have to blow up some children, destroy families, etc. And you sat yes because $30 million isn't enough. Think about doing that and then going about your day normally. These people are sick and we need to find out who is at the top. They serve no purpose. They only leech off the working class and cause what's happening today. They need to go...

i saw Black Sabbath in the early 70s in then auditorium of a catholic high school in Union, NJ. At the time, i thought it was odd that the high school would have them play.
but 50 years later, I realize their themes were not satanic, but anti-war, anti- corruption, and would fit perfectly with the aims of a catholic high school that understood the times
