Now here we have a band that's got a 1 million watt light show, an audience of upwards of 80,000 people, and regular radio air play, but they're UNDERFUCKING RATED!! How much more rating would make you happy? Maybe we can change the name of a state, no, the entire country to Triumph! Maybe we can have Triumph History month! Hey, let's paint Triumph in gigantic letters on the moon so everyone can see it from earth. Would that be enough "rating" for you? drrrrrr

I saw them in Atl. In the 80’s On my Birthday!! My all time favorite band on my Birthday... just awesome. First time I heard them my brother and I was in a bar and they were on MTV, Never Surrender video. I ask my brother “ who are these guys”? He said Triumph I believe. I was hooked. The power and strength in Ricks voice, the veins in his neck looked like they were going to burst. I was thinking Damn now that’s a voice. Then you add in his ability to play a guitar and Gil on drums and is a great singer himself, then Mike on bass. They complimented each other very well! They were/are perfection at the highest level.
I met Rik backstage at a big multi-band outdoor festival (big for San Antonio, Texas) when he was touring for his first solo album. He was really cool. He took the time to chat with me and my wife for about three minutes..AFTER his set! He had places to go and important people to see, but he stopped when we said hi, then took the time to make us feel welcome. Such a legend.
I just love his voice. I was one of the few of my friends who listened to Triumph when I was in HS in the early 80s. ZZ, 38 Special, Journey, that’s what was popular, these guys were my secret stash of uniqueness.
These guys were extremely talented and they knew they were kicking ass when they hit the stage. Very humble for being at the legendary level. It's amazing three guys created that great of sound.
I was with 5 friends with good close spot , but when Triumph me and my friend got even closer . My favorite concert I ever attended, lots of people , lot's of fun .

No tapes, no pre-recorded tracks musical or vocal. Pure performance with no auto tune or pro tools. Real musicians performing as they could, and these three put on one hell of a show. Saw them twice live and both times were unreal.
Damn... What a band... Rik belting out those lyrics, and absolutely killing it on guitar. Then MIkes Bass and Synth, and Gil's killer drums, makes this band the closest thing we'd ever witness for a 3 piece band to ever be anything like RUSH... Plus being from Canada too, makes it all understandable. Never seen them live, and I feel I missed out. My cousin was at this show and said no one knew who these guys were before the show but it was all anyone was talking about after it.
Same here..my best friend and I wanted to go so bad...not enough bread to get there from Southern Indiana...listened simulcast on the radio, and threw a keg party instead!

Days grow shorter and the nights are getting long
Feels like we're running out of time
Every day it seems much harder tellin' right from wrong
You got to read between the lines
Don't get discouraged, don't be afraid
We can make it through another day
Make it worth the price we pay
The Good Book says it's better to give than to receive
I do my best to do my part
Nothin' in my pockets, I got nothin' up my sleeve
I keep my magic in my heart
Keep up your spirit, keep up your faith, baby
I am counting on you
You know what you've got to do
Fight the good fight every moment
Every minute, every day
Fight the good fight every moment
It's your only way
All your life you've been waiting for your chance
Where you'll fit into the plan
But you're the master of your own destiny
So give and take the best that you can
You think a little more money will buy your soul some rest
You'd better think of something else instead
You're so afraid of being honest with yourself
You'd better take a look inside your head
Nothing is easy, nothing good is free
But I can tell you where to start
Take a look inside your heart
There's an answer in your heart
Fight the good fight every moment
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
Make it worth the price we pay
Every moment of your lifetime
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
Make it worth the price we pay

Emmett is an incredible guitar player and singer.
To me, they were the least anticipated band, but ended up being my favorite. They sounded amazing.
Fact
Epic band! Unmistakable voice! Those were the days of pure rock!
This has to be one of the Greatest Live Performances in the History of Rock! I can't stop watching . . . . . . . . . . .
In Rik's mind you were the most important person at the moment. Forget his musical talent. It goes way beyond that
The second he starts , the voice you know it! It's majestic ❤d
INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE!!!
Just heard this for the first time while I was playing an Alternative radio station... Love it!!!!! Played it about 50 times so far. EXCELLENT !!!!!
I just love his voice. I was one of the few of my friends who listened to Triumph when I was in HS in the early 80s. ZZ, 38 Special, Journey, that’s what was popular, these guys were my secret stash of uniqueness.
That ending went on for 3 business days! They didn't want to leave the stage! I wish so much I was there.
These guys were extremely talented and they knew they were kicking ass when they hit the stage. Very humble for being at the legendary level. It's amazing three guys created that great of sound.
Real musicians performing real music.😍🤘
I've always loved Triumph and they sound great live!
The vocals at the end are SUPREME!
Was lucky enough to see them there at US Festival 83!
I was with 5 friends with good close spot , but when Triumph me and my friend got even closer . My favorite concert I ever attended, lots of people , lot's of fun .
Was front row for one of their shows in Montreal in the 80s. Blew me away.
Framus AK1974 ftw. What a gorgeous guitar. 24 frets, hard tail, 2 humbuckers.. I never realized Rik Emmett played my favorite guitar.
I was at this show!🥰
I was 22 years old.
Biggest crowd I've Ever been in.
(400,000+)
Heavy Metal Day! 👍
Wish I remembered more of the day! 😁😕
Mike in San Diego!. 🌞🚀🎸🖖
I was at this concert! AWESOME SHOW!!
No auto tune or backing tracks, just straight up talent! 🤔🇺🇸
Fight the Good Fight, yes I will, great inspired song!!! God Bless Ya'll
I listen to this song everyday, and sometime twice because it's so good.
Simply a PHÉNOMÉNAL performance. Stellar vocals and musicianship. 🤩🤩🤩
This video is one of those things that make me wish I'd seen it with my own eyes
I was at this show, now here I am almost 60 years old and still love listening to it. Music just isn't the same anymore. Still one of my favorite songs and my neighbors too, lol. Ive never grown out of listening to my music loud!!!
Just don't make 'em like they used to. These guys were legit!!
Indeed they were .....we need more of bands like this !!
These guys sound amazing live!
His acoustic solo work is awesome. His double neck guitar was awesome too. Was better than malmsteen he opened
Best wishes for your cancer recovery triumph has always been one of my favorite bands along with many others from this era and also nirvana Alice and others from Seattle love them all peace out...
No tapes, no pre-recorded tracks musical or vocal. Pure performance with no auto tune or pro tools. Real musicians performing as they could, and these three put on one hell of a show. Saw them twice live and both times were unreal.
Incredible band. Never got the full acclaim they were due IMO.
I wish I had a time machine to see this live.
I was there, it was everything you can imagine, hot as hell and all the music you could absorb.
Same here..my best friend and I wanted to go so bad...not enough bread to get there from Southern Indiana...listened simulcast on the radio, and threw a keg party instead!
They’ve always been one of my favorite rock bands.
Rush and Triumph. Thank you, Canada❤️❤️
The talent it takes to sing like that and play rhythm and lead guitar. Wow !!
