Okay, I think we seriously gotta stop it with these "Switching system" bait. If you like the camera, just use it. If it fits your workflow, just use it. Today, Canon, Nikon and Sony are all 3 great companies producing quality mirrorless cameras now. Sony will always still be in the lead with its innovation and creativity. The most important thing to remember is that how expensive is it to switch system? We hear people always talking about switching systems but they will never talk about how much it cost to switch systems. I'm a Sony user and will never switch to a new system unless I win the lotto. Lenses aren't cheap. Cameras aren't cheap. And gears for them aren't cheap. All of my Sony cameras, lenses, and gears combined is value at $25k U.S. dollars. If i were to sell them to move onto another system, I be lucky to get $20k U.S. dollars back from resell value. We see so many youtubers that have the privilege to switch system with ease while real life users do not have this privilege. For them to even get 1 great lens is already tough enough, I can't imagine them selling all of that to move onto another system as easy as the youtubers do. Jared Polin, I understand why he uses all 3 systems is because he is a camera guy reviewer and he buys all of his gears. Jason Vong sticks to only Sony is because he loves it and has invested so much into it. Then you have someone like Tony & Chelsea that switches brands like crazy that I stopped following them. This system switch would have been huge back in 2015 when Sony's mirrorless tech started becoming better and better over DSLR tech. But today, there just isn't enough justification to switch systems since all 3 brands are just that damn good.
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Haha, i watched your whole video before commenting. Yes, i can see where you stand and how you are entice to switch to the R5c. One of the biggest reason why I switched from Canon to Sony is because of Canon's lack of innovation back in 2015. They never went with mirrorless tech or invested in it until Sony destroyed them. I couldn't wait for Canon to release a superior mirrorless camera like the A7Sii back then. I won't ever switch back to Canon or Nikon because there just isn't enough reasons to do so anymore today. Anyone new to this camera world, i recommend them to test all brands out first. See what they really like and stick with it because gears for them are not cheap.
I do not know what kind of computer you have but I use an m1 pro macbook and I am able to scrub through 8k canon raw lite footage with ease in davinci resolve. B.S. @marcel kaiser - Take the R5c and the A7s II and shoot the same content. Which one will be better? Camera gear gets older, stop being produced and are replaced because you want a better camera. A better camera with AF and cine specific menu means you can get cinematic results that you can't get with the A7sII or GH5.
