Personally I never minded the phil Collins songs
I remember learning about that extreme sports bit from a segment before another Disney movie on VHS. I think that was the first thing I ever saw talking about the behind the scenes of an animated movie.
I personally really liked the Phil Collins songs in the movie actually but to each their own I guess. Funny enough I don't care about his music outside of Tarzan except for In The Air Tonight. Now I'm also interested in hearing your opinions on the other late 90s Disney movies like Hunchback of Notre Dame for example.

I never minded the songs. I actually enjoy them. Some of them in a cheesy sort of way

This is actually my 2nd favorite Disney soundtrack after The Lion King due to the Phil Collins songs. I think they're some of his best period.
So, since I'm not from America I didn't get Phil Collins, I got Phil Collins with a danish singer dubbing it in stead. Didn't make it any better.

I think I'm the only one who isn't bothered by Phil Collins' music in this movie. I guess it's because I basically grew up with this movie, so it doesn't feel out of place to me.

Can you review emperors new groove some time, the does the snarky fairytale with an all star cast idea well and holds up waaaaay better than Shrek because it's more timeless

agree to disagree on the songs but yeah sorry your right about Pochontas i guess i was thinking more of the story but the look is different. I should probably come to terms with my feelings about that movie. Brian Blessed was in there when i shot it but this review was all ready to long but i did really like him.

Actually Jim, Tarzan's parents were killed by a jaguar, or a leopard. I think.

I love that 1/4 of your review is you shitting on Phil Collins. Because yeah, I hate him on this movie too.
I loved Tarzan's "tree surfing" back in the day, but after re-watching the film recently, I feel as though it hasn't held up very well. It still looks great, but it just screams "LATE '90S TONY HAWK!" to me. I think it would have aged better if the animators' inspiration hadn't been quite so obvious.
I agree that this movie should have been more of big Disney adventure movie like Atlantis. (Well not fully like that movie since it bombed). This movie felt like a comic book movie more then adaptation of classic cinema or even the book. I still like this movie its very human and amazing but I stiIl wish that it dug into its pulply adventure story side like Star Wars and Indiana Jones's.
I've been watching for a while and I have a fee suggestions
1) Use clips from the movies (if not, use pictures from said media)
2) Make an intro to hook the viewer in and have them view you as more professional (like maybe wear the 3-D glasses in a seat you fashion to look like a theatre seat and then laugh and drop your popcorn or eat it)
3) work out a theme, not like the nostalgia critic but with some kind of flare
4) I know you can draw well, so make some sort of avatar so when people see a thumbnail or your channel they, again, see it as more proffesional
I'm no expert and I can't do any of this stuff (except draw a little) but I feel like you can get more of afollowing because you deserve it

Well I guess I am in the minority because I also hate phil collins score. I already hate scores that desperately tries to tell you how to feel throughout the movie but having a soundtrack that is literally telling you how the characters feel is just unbearable. Good review though also any word on juwanna man I'm sure many are waiting for your answer as to whether or not you'll review it

Phil Collins ruined Brother Bears, he was tollerable in Tarzan. I'm glad he's dead.
