I used Zildjians and Sabian for 20 yrs, I've tried meinl as well but nothing comes close to paiste. I just made the switch this year and holy crap I'm happy, its almost like it changed the way I hear and perceive the cymbals. They are just so musical.

I have always loved Paiste cymbals. I now play PST7's. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. The more expensive ones are of course better sounding but if price is a key you cant go wrong with PST7's. I loved this demo. Great job guys.

That's a great point! Not everyone can afford high end cymbals, other bills take precedence. I played drums for almost thirty years before I invested in my 2002's. Talk about a long time come'n'... but worth the wait!!!!

I'm not big on the Precision line. It's not a bad line, but it doesn't have a tone I like. They are kind of like 2002s, which I'm not a huge fan of either.
I'm weird though... I'm a Deathmetal/Blackmetal drummer that uses Signature Series and Sound Formula Reflector hi-hats, a Signature Series ride, Signature Series and Twenty Custom crashes, Signature Series and Signature Reflector splashes, and Rude chinas.
The best hi-hats, crashes and splashes I have ever heard have been from the Signature Series, Signature Dark Energy, Signature Reflector, Twenty Custom, Sound Formula, and Sound Formula Reflector lines. The only chinas that I like more than Signature or Sound Formula (just barely) are the Rude chinas.
I've played on many, many Zildjian, Meinl, and Sabian cymbals over the years. My setups were always a mix of cymbals from the late 90's up until 2021. Since then I will only play Paiste, and only the lines I mentioned. I have had decades to figure out what tone I want from my cymbals. It's expensive, but it's worth it.

I have a set of sound Formula reflectors but I need to replace some. What do you think is the closest that will match out of the sig line? Looking specifically for 18" crash, but need a path that will allow me to expand and update my current investment. Thanks.
