I'm so happy I found you again!! I used to watch this channel a lot when I was younger, but since then, I haven't been drawing much for a multitude a of reasons, one of which was because I just felt like I wasn't improving much. Now, I've recently picked up drawing again with the intention to just enjoy it without thinking of getting better. Anyway, I love your channel and can't wait to start watching and drawing again. Subscribed this time cuz I actually got a UA-cam account, lol!
Keep in mind that textures can be used for a lot of different things. This does look like a mountain scene from overhead because it is out of context. The surrounding details and textures will tell the viewer what it is actually meant to be which is why I show my drawing at the end of how it will look when used. I am glad that you still enjoy the videos though haha.
I know...I know... Just need some inspiration. Just gotta look in the right place. Your tutorials and the way you explain things really helps me out and I have really improved. So, thank you for that. Take care now. I gotta think of ideas!
Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I am pretty tied up at the moment and can't really guarantee anything but ill keep a note of it! Thanks a lot for the comment!
Unfortunately I don't have any supplies around that I can give out. Ebay is probably your best bet for finding art supplies. I get most of mine from there and they are reasonably prices as well.
Uh oh! Well, that would explain quite a lot!! Glad that you decided to sub again! Choppy water is a bit of a challenge but it is quite fun and looks great in drawings.
Real nice video :) i liked the part when you zoomed all the way in and it add something , just made the entire exeprience alot more fun and knowledgeable in a way i never had the chance to encounter on youtube , keep up the good work .
and oddly enough it helps me with my painting, the technics you use I can do in painting a tree :3 i prefer painting over sketching but i do love sketchin a goof lanfdcsape! sorry for mispell im doing thsi in the dark lol i thought i knew my keys well enough by now to be able to type in the dark lol ur vids are fun to watch as im falling asleep bc thats when it sticks most of the time!
Most of what I have done recently has made it into a UA-cam video. I do have a lot of sketches and prep work that I do for a lot of the videos that don't really make it up online.
I try to zoom in when I wan't to show something specific in my work and it also makes it a lot easier for everyone to see what is going on. Glad that you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment!
I was just thinking today "huh, why haven't I seen Tyler post something for so long, I miss those vids" and then I realized I had accidentally unsubbed myself. Great instructions! :) I can draw waves and calm water but I've always had a tough time with choppy water.
It will take time to get people to really start viewing your channel. It took me over 6 months to get my first 100 subs. It is a slow process but as long as you keep a schedule of at least one video a week and have some nice quality content, the views and subscribers will follow.
It is something that I have been meaning to make a video about since I first made the sketch almost a year ago. Just now getting around to it do listen to requests and although I cant fulfill each one, I do try my best to help everyone out.
I am glad that you enjoy the longer videos. I enjoy doing them as well because like you said, I can explain everything that I need to. Great to see that it is helping you so much. Thanks a lot for the comment!
Thanks a lot for the comment. Summer time is right around the corner and I will most likely start planning out some themed drawings for the season and something like crashing waves will probably happen.
Have a look at some of my real time videos if you are looking for a nice place to start. I try to enjoy what I find to be naturally beautiful which is why I draw mostly landscapes. Pick out something you really enjoy and start from there.

Loved this lesson on water and I loved the ship wreck drawing. The sky in that drawing is amazing. Thanks again!!
Again amazing
Again wonderfully drawled

I would never ever stop drawing without you
Top explanation. Simple and great result !!. Thank you. You make my day !!

I've been needing to know this. Thanks!
Dude you don't make videos no more???
got any tips for large waves? Like what you would see in Howard Pyle and NC Wyeth's paintings?
I try to zoom in when I wan't to show something specific in my work and it also makes it a lot easier for everyone to see what is going on. Glad that you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment!

A lot of techniques can be universal across many different mediums. Haha, get a back lit keyboard. It really helps with typing in the dark.
What was the shade thing called where u shaded the peaks just a little?
I was wondering if you can show how to draw three things.
1) 1701 USS ENTERPRISE
2) A CESSNA 172
3) An Orca or Killer Whale?
How expensive were all these clutch pencils and graphite combined?
Another great learning tool,thanks.
I am glad that you enjoy the longer videos. I enjoy doing them as well because like you said, I can explain everything that I need to. Great to see that it is helping you so much. Thanks a lot for the comment!
thanks
do u use charcoal and if so..how does the blending stump work with it?
what kind of pencil is that? I want some.
Thanks a lot for the comment. Summer time is right around the corner and I will most likely start planning out some themed drawings for the season and something like crashing waves will probably happen.
Can I please have a cheap pack of pencils. My town doesn't have art stores with mold able erasers and blending stumps too.
how do u shade a river?
what pencil are you using?
THANK YOU SOO SOO MUCH!!😄😄🙌🙌

Dylan Heaston lead holders

No problem bud!
Isn't that the truth! I sometimes get too far ahead and just need to take a step back to get back on track again.
I finally have reference for water :)
Thanks a lot, Thad!
Good to know :)
Do you have a video of shipwreck
Nice! Shipwreck great!
It's okay but there are still some components that are missing like the foam at the tips of each wave.
That is what I seriously need to start doing haha.
Thanks :D
Well, not the most successful but I am slowly getting there. Thanks a lot bud!
I didn't know that there even was an animated version of the dark night.
Amazing and very useful. :)
Haha Yep! Doohickey is a technical term.
I bet your best pieces arent recorded :D

Bacon Comix It does you dont have a good imagination
Yes it does.
I am pretty sure I put about 70 bucks into it. It was around that amount I think.
Damn you, i hit my screen thinking that there was a real spider in my PC beacuse of your profile pic
Still stuck...
I should get back to landscapes....
I thought those were tiny mountains tbh
I am pretty sure that I only used a darker shade of pencil. It was probably a 2B.
