I am NOT particularly artistic and have recently started to try my hand at some pencil sketching and watercolors for fun. One thing I am really noticing about art is the patience it takes to do something well. I used to sketch and draw constantly when I was growing up and eventually, I went to a high school for the arts. Unfortunately, I suffered two back to back bouts of meningitis over the summer of 2019 and those “fires” burned away a great deal of my memory and skills. Although I regained most of my memory, regaining some of my artistic skills is an ongoing struggle. Tutorials like yours are extremely helpful because they remind me of what I used to be able to recall instantaneously, allowing me to regain my skills at an accelerated rate instead of starting over from nothing. Thanks again!

As s guy whos had countless teachers, professors and coaches, there's one great teaching tip I'd like to share with you: it helps SO MUCH to tell your students exactly what you're "thinking" when you're drawing something....what's going through your mind as your pencil is moving on the paper... you'll find your students will progress faster.

@@markhouse8645are you only using an HB pencil because he is using multiple pencils to get it “dark” or ‘light”
