Neighbours are going to love the maintenance you've added to their lives with the other side of that hedge!

I have to ask, where on earth do you find that much compost for about $100.

WOW! What a difference... lovely... I remember one bit of advice from Bourke's backyard show (yeah I am old LOL) was he said "Plant your heart out.. you can always remove them if it gets to too much (paraphrasing - it was something like that) and I am still planting every year.. lol

When my company closed a month after Covid started I knew I would be at home a lot so I kept going to Home Depot ( I live in Atlanta Georgia)
When everything was said and done after redoing the deck buying some deck planters all the flowers and grasses I used
And put a new umbrella and cushions out it was $1200. I’ll never regret doing it. And if you use grass in your planters they last year after year. You just fill it in with some flowers yearly!
This looks so good though you’re making me wanna put some things in the ground again.

I'm only 53 seconds into the video and I know I'm going to like it, why?
1 - the universal 'basic' boring look of the yard (could be mine or any uninspiring garden in the in the world)
2 - Charlie said there will be options based on time/cost/size of canvas (yard)
3 - a juicy fruit chewing gum guy like Charlie has always provided the sweetest looking gardens regardless of cost or time allotment (as in: needed it done yesterday, or take your time just need it sometime this summer) regardless *he always brings his "A" Game* , and
4 - I kind of have a crush on Charlie so whatever he brings to the table -- er the garden *bed,* I will absolutely adore! Thank yoooouuuuu Charrrrlieeeee

Fabulous job and it did not seem to be that expensive for what was achieved. I think if I owned that house I would buy a few litres of charcoal paint and spend the weekend painting the gutters, veranda supports and gable edges as that was letting down the garden makeover.

Not sure the more plants are better in that first bed. Give it time. Also concerned with planting so much near the house given the slope of that lawn. Was there consideration for water damage to the foundation?

I was thinking the same thing because our home has the same issue. We could not plant anything close to the walls and instead had to lay down pavingstones there

If you don't mind smaller plants, buy some tubestock plants from bunnings, great savings

It looks great but I live in a very high termite area and my termite control guy has told me not to plant gardens up against the house. Please offer a make over for a front yard without gardens up against the house. My house has a pebble garden at the front and a fake wishing well in the front yard. I have a brick letterbox and have no idea what else I can do to make my house have more street appeal.

Same in a high fire area. Nothing against the house.

Came here to say this!! Honestly am surprised a landscaper would recommend planting anything by the house given how much of inhabited Australia is at termite risk! It's pretty much every capital city and a lot of regional ones too.

Whatever Charlie plants, just plant half. Because in two years time, it will be too crowded.

What about terminates entering your house as this is an easy entry point you have created with the gardens against the house creating the perfect environment for them to thrive
Usually a concrete path or barrier between the garden and the house is a good way in prevention
