Congratulations to all the gardeners whose side yards were featured. What an accomplishment to have your garden recognized by Laura! I was inspired by many of them. Thank you for sharing.
🌸It was refreshing to see gardening zones in 🇨🇦 and other parts of the world 🌍! ♥️
Well said.
😅😅🤣🤣🤣 yr second line😅😅😆😆
I couldn’t agree more!
Thank you, Laura. You made my day.
Oh I just love before and after photos! Telling us the zoning really helps too. I'm bummed I wasn't able to submit my photos in time for this video. I had a black thumb when I started watching your videos 5 years ago and now I have over 5,000 plants! I LOVE gardening now and it's all thanks to you and your videos. I now give advice to my beginner gardener friends and recommend your channel. I tell them, "My friends Laura and Aaron say to do it this way........" lol. How you must love having so many friends that you've never met. Sometimes I put you on the TV in the background while I do other things just because I like hearing your voice. When you come start out, "Hey guys!" I reply out "Heyyyyyy!". Thank you for putting out so many videos to keep us all entertained. I was in a medical center for six months last year getting treatment (for Late-Stage Lyme disease) and wasn't able to be out in my own garden, so I lived through you everyday. Thanks to the daily visits to your channel and my chats with God I was able to get through a rough time. Thanks again and God Bless you both!--- P.S. Aaron have you ever considered adding in some devotions or positive quotes to your gorgeous garden pics on IG? The pictures are lovely and a daily devotion would be a nice extra touch to start out the day.
Lol I usually have a black thumb too! My flowers have been growing so well in my flower beds and I’m shocked! My dad put in a sprinkler system in the flower beds and I think helps a lot. Also the full sun flowers really grow great where we have ours. I love seeing our flowers bloom! And I also say Laura does this haha.
This is a Garden Channel. You know what they say about Religion and Politics..
I was with you until you started talking about Laura & Aaron using their channel to push religion. It would not a very welcoming atmosphere to everyone who isn't religious or who isn't Christian. Maybe that didn't occur to you.
@@Ibis333 You are right it didn't occur to me because they are Christian and have mentioned it in a few of their videos so I figured those who follow them pretty much know that already and if they were offended by religion they probably wouldn't follow their channel. Aarons father is a Pastor. In general- not every video they put out is for everyone so I'm sure those who aren't Religious could just pass by that particular IG post if it didn't appeal to them. I wouldn't push anything on anyone. Devotions are positive and don't necessarily have to viewed as religious by everyone. I don't always like the person who says a good quote in a publication but I can still appreciate a good one when I hear it. But Thank you for your perspective. I do appreciate a different viewpoint. Take care.
@@shaunah.creations9233 It's funny isn't it? To have someone that you enjoy daily that you sort of consider a friend yet she has no idea who you are lol. I joke with my husband sometimes and say, "I'm her biggest Stalker, I mean biggest Fan!" lol (wink, wink-nudge, nudge). Thanks for the reply. Are you on IG? I'd love to see your garden pics too.
Absolutely loved this video. So many ideas swirling in my head. Bravo to the ones you featured…so glad to be a part of your “gardening” fellowship. Inspiration and Gratitude! 👏🌞🪴
Beautiful flower beds!
Looks like someone copied and pasted your comment right above yours. I'm seeing more and more of these bots lately. Smh.
Great comment btw.
I think it would be fun to have “before and after” gardens featured in a video, I know once I started watching Garden Answer my garden looks so much better! Moving into our new house is what got me hooked on Garden Answer
I agree
I love this style of content. Hearing you describe what’s working in a garden and what those plants are and including various related bits of information, that’s gold! Thank you 🙏🏻
I really hope you do a segment on cottage gardens! cottage gardens are my favorite it would be so cool to see how other people design there’s.
Thank you so much for the shout out Laura! 💕 I so appreciate these videos you do! Lots of love from California! 🌸🌷🌻
The rain gutters on the wall to hold succulents - genius!! I also loved the tiny fairy garden details tucked in too. I absolutely love these videos. It’s giving me so many new ideas!
Thank you! Those are mine! I am bursting with excitement to have made it on my favorite UA-cam channel that I have been watching almost since the beginning! Yes the fairy garden items were a big part of those gutters. I had so much fun changing them with the seasons! 🌵💜
I have to agree the gutters idea was awesome!! Great job!!
This was so fun to see some of our Garden Answer friends gardens. I loved this video. Thank you. Come on Summer time.....impatiently waiting.
love “impatiently waiting” 🥰
Good morning! 🌻🐝
Hi from UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Good evening Laura & Garden Answer Fam 😊Belated Happy Birthday to Benjamin & Advance Happy Birthday to Samantha Grace🎂🧁🍭
I love love love the one with the cacti on the wall!! The little house in there just does it for me!
Thank you! I change the fairy garden figures out with the seasons💕
@@RC-mc6rc really? Wow! This is a wonderful idea! I might try to steal it and share it with my nephews! They will have fun imagining why and how it evolves with the seasons 😁
What
Love that you walk us through these instead of just putting the pictures up. Really like these subject videos, great idea!
Anyone else trying to zoom in to take in all of the beauty? I absolutely love this series!
I love the kitty appearances ♥️
These videos are great for the winter when a lot of people are planning. Great inspiration! Lots of creative people! Beautiful ideas!
Wonderful compilation from so many different growing zones. I'm in love with the fence in the German garden. What an interesting way to provide privacy at eye level and still offer the "borrowed view" of a neighbor's garden and visually expand your space. Bravo!
I totally agree - I love that fence!
I’ve been waiting for this video. So helpful, thank you. Blessings.
That succulents wall looked absolutely magnificent
💚💚💚
Thanks. I was super excited to have made it on my favorite UA-cam channel! Made my day
@@RC-mc6rc I'm definitely going to try it. To me , it was the best out of all these.
Greetings from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸
Thanks Laura and Aaron for doing this video. And thanks to everyone who submitted.
You All have inspired me 💕
Good morning everyone have a safe and blessed day
Wow! Gazillions of ideas to chew on! The British GROW VEG vlog has a wonderful planner you can put in your dimensions & plants & even move them around!
Great video!
Greetings from Victoria 🇨🇦
Our plant choices can benefit not only us, but entire ecosystem…
Please don’t forget hummingbirds and all the little garden creatures…

Happy gardening!
We love this video! So fun to see how you and Aaron started out (with Aaron's first camera!) and the Before and After of your first side yard. We are also so inspired to see everyone's garden creations. All so beautiful! We are big fans of "grow anywhere" proving you don't need a big space to create some garden magic. Well done everyone!
Hola como están me encanta la página pero me gustaría entender el idioma soy de argentina abría alguna manera de traducir lo que explica , sería genial
Oh my gosh, I have been waiting for this video! Thank you for this! Holy moly, so many beautiful yards and ideas. I can't believe I have to get ready to go to work. I just wanna stay home and plan my garden! But I can't afford to garden if I don't go to work. lol Gonna be real hard to concentrate today while I'm dreaming of Spring!
My favorite gardening space at my house in Boise was the side yard on the east side of my house that ran south to north. It was 15 feet wide with my house on one side and arborvitae hedge between me and my neighbor. It got a varying amount of sun for 2 - 4 hours of late morning sun. I never had any plan. Just bought plants that I liked and fit them in. It ended up with hostas, bleeding heart, Japanese maple, coral bells, Russian sage, and filled in with annuals like coleus, sweet potato vines, and elephant ears.
hi from Meridian 😁
Beautiful collection, I just got root stocks of Bleeding heart and Green Envy echinacea
I got two Dicentra, one is growing well the other I planted lower to experiment. And one of my three Echinacea seems to be alive (on arrival unusually not my fault)
I also just got lavandula x intermedia in a 4 inch pot, would you still recommend Russian Sage or would I be better off propagating my Grosso Lavender? I don’t know how different the texture, size, and color is in person
Hello from Nampa...Russian Sage! I'd love to hear how to keep under control? I'll never remove the bees feed like drunkards. It's a must for them...
@@diannaslonecker4199 you can prune it and divide it
I LOVE seeing what you did with a smaller space!!
I love checking out other peoples gardens and being inspired to add some of the ideas to my own. How about a segment on other peoples ENTIRE garden space makeover? I could watch those all day when the days are long and cold and I’m craving color and warmth. Thanks for all you do!
The submissions are amazing. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Gmorning all,it’s so inspiring seeing all the beautiful colours and textures of the outdoors especially when everything’s looking so grey right now,ty Laura for reminding us that spring’s around the corner. ❤️🙏🇨🇦
Beautiful gardens. Would love to get some inspiration from viewers who can plant only in containers. We have gravel and patio only and would love to see pictures of people's container gardens.
Good morning 🪴 I love watching your videos first thing in the morning w my coffee. I am really enjoying these “idea” videos as it’s feeding my itch to be outside in my garden and giving me so many great ideas!! Thank you ❤️🌿
Only Laura would think that her side yard wasn’t finished. It looks so gorgeous.
I love Paula garden the Coleus the colours took my breathe away. All these garden with so many inspirations. Love it. I
Thank you Laura and everyone that contributed. I have a narrow side space that I’ve been dreading fixing up! I have so many ideas now! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Laura, this video was inspirational and truly delightful! I loved seeing the creative solutions that other gardeners came up with to deal with narrow side yards. The before and after photos that some folks included were awesome. Thanks, everyone for sharing your lovely skinny side yard transformations. I can't wait for the next group of viewer submissions! ~Margie🌻💐🌾
Fun to see every ones' side garden ideas! They were all so different. I would love to know how long it took everyone from start to finish to re-do their side yards (including you Laura!).
Wow! Home run with sharing these incredible spaces from other inspired gardeners. I don’t have a space like this but still absorbing so much inspiration! I will watch this video many times and add some of these ideas to my garden. Always room for improvements! Thanks Laura for offering these different perspectives.
As a homeowner who was told by a landscape designer that my small side garden was "the most inhospitable space they had ever seen) I took it as a challenge. Yes it was sloped, narrow & full sun, but I created my own garden plan, amended the soil, added a drip system & now I have a beautiful garden which people enjoy as they pass my townhome. The only issue I've had is, my garden pagoda & solar lights were stolen. Unfortunately, pretty things can attract the dark. 😐 Thank you to everyone who shared their gardens with us, I completely understand your struggles & joy ☺️💗🍁🍃🌱🌼🌺
Love when there is so much love in the families ⚜️🌸
Good morning, Laura☕️ How fun! Got some great ideas 💡. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Good morning!
I start every day with GA. Today was extra special because my rain-gutters made it onto my favorite UA-cam channel! I am just bursting with excitement. I should have clarified… the rain-gutters pictured where in Oxnard Ca We have recently moved to Santa Clarita they were the hardest thing to leave behind. I now have them here at our new home they are thriving here but they aren’t in a side yard. I used to have a daycare in my home before Codie-19 and the kids were dropped off and picked up at a door in that side yard. I decorated them with fairy garden figures throughout the year. Kids/parents loved them. I saw the rain-gutters on Laura Eubanks UA-cam channel she is all about succulent design. I asked my husband to install some for me for my birthday after seeing them on her channel. Thanks Laura and Aaron for making my day! I am a huge fan!🌵🥰💜
Laura and Aaron - this series of featuring other gardeners and all the creativity is just awesome. It’s so refreshing to see what others are doing and how to combat and beautifully overcome challenges we face in the garden. Of course I always love seeing your wonderful creativity. Hope you keep up this series. I love it!
I prefer the curved walkway because to me they look more relaxing. Definitely would stay away from grass paths, but then I don’t like grass. I appreciate so many of the beautiful plants that we cannot seem to grow here on hot very humid tropical south Florida, it is a big learning curve!
Love the cramscaping at 12 minutes!
This is a lovely idea! Looking forward to more videos like this! 💜
I love to see your land and beautiful yard. You and your husband work hard and you have such a gift of making all the different areas look amazing!! I love your videos that show how to plant, the conditions and seeing the final outcome. Loved today's video and got excited on what I can do with a side yard that is roughly 16-18 ft wide, facing south. Still not sure what all to plant for vertical, shrubs, flowering and ground growth. I know you dont have time to read much less respond to many comments but I'm 61 and just learning so any ideas on shrubs or flowering plants would help me finally do something with that barren space. Thank you so much, God bless and always continue sharing your gifts.
Would love to see this done with balconies or Sun terraces. As someone living in an area where buying anywhere with any outdoor space costs a pretty penny. I always try to fill my balconies with as much life as possible but I'd love some new ideas.
All these side gardens look lovely love seeing how different people handle the same sort space.
I would LOVE to see balcony gardens too.
I'd love to see really narrow...I have almost 100 cm wide and have air con and compost down there too. Half the day boilinh hot sun, half shade.
Good Morning! What a great video to start the week! Love how creative this community is.
Really enjoying the series showing other gardens. I would love to see something like this for gardens where deer are a problem!
I got so many great ideas for my side yard that I have been struggling with. Thank you so much for this great series!
Why was I most excited about the square Picture in Picture used with Laura… I think editing is just as cool as gardening lol
Ok the plantings with the columns was pretty awesome too.
Wow. All I can say is that there are some really talented gardeners out there!
Great information and gorgeous ideas. What an honor to be in the video! Everyone did so well.
We are working with 5 ft on both sides of our house so kind of sad to see these side yards are actually “big” to us. Also, can we plant trees next to a foundation of a home with no future issues as the tree matures?
Yay zone 8B. It's so hot in the Summer here it so nice to see so many beautiful flowers and foliage.
Good morning! Have a wonderful day. Enjoyed viewing the many different side gardens. They were all so beautiful. I am getting excited to see how you evolve the rest of your gardens and especially around the Hartley.
AND once again, Russel steals the show! Love that cat!
Thank you thank you sooo much Laura. I started gardening after watching you and now I’m obsessed. I’m learning a lot didn’t even know I like gardening. Well I had a small side yard that I could not design at all. It’s full sun. I just throw seeds in the ground lol for 2 years of a bunch of mixed match. This was the only section I could not visualize. I needed this so bad. This was a brilliant idea. Oh I’m in zone 7a in NJ very good soil and growing season
I love seeing these photos!!
l love this vlog! I have learned so much from this personal one of your older home....it's personal, it shows beginning middle and end, plus all the mistakes and how they got fixed. Loved it. Thanks so much Laura. You're a true gem. And Aaron too of course, right? You two complete each other. Love it.
I live in California 9b zone. There isn't much difference from season to season compared to other parts of the country. No snow at all. Some rain. Mild winters with very hot summers. Thanks for the great ideas!
This was such a fun video! I am impressed with the talent of your viewers many, if not all, who have been inspired and encouraged by you to dream and then plant! The choices were remarkable. Being in Western Washington, I was particularly excited to see the multiple contributors from here and what they’ve done in the same zone I’m starting in! Thank you everyone for sharing your beautiful spaces with us.
Loved the fairy garden theme in the gutters! My favorite idea.
You are very talented, I enjoy your videos, but I have to admit, I love to see your cat in all your videos 😂❤️
Enjoyed this a lot! To see real life spaces that most of us can relate to. No shade to you and your acres of land. Your space is 😍😍 but videos like this are also inspiring! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Love this video! So fun seeing other gardeners side yards!
Sooooooooooo Russell had input too😆😆😆😆🙌...he is a character
Northern Michigan, zone 5, I never even opened my blinds today, it’s “owly” out there.
However, I started my day with this video, watched a variety of other garden content and am re-watching this again tonight for more inspiration.
🏡. I enjoyed e eryones ideas immensely . I keep watching for changes or things I missed previously . I did too 😊 What a great encouragement to those like me with difficult areas that bloom with such talented and innovated inspirations 🕯️.
Pleas let them all know how much I appreciate them ❤
Thank you so much for this beautiful tour that we've all been waiting for!!! What a gorgeous and perfect home and gardens your parents have. They soooo deserve it and to have a wonderful family to share it with. Thanks you for sharing with us... your media family too!
That first photo with the new camera is magic! 🪄
Loved the part with the cat especially the petting to keep him off the computer.
Well, I was watching this for the plant ideas, but now all I care about is that Russell is a polydactyl cat! Soooo adorable!
I always admire those who can stick to a color scheme. This is always challenging to me. Beautiful…
I loved seeing everyones gardens, so many clever, creative people.
I LOVE the color of the hydrangea blue house with the cream stone!
Laura, we appreciate sharing gardens of others, in more typical sizes. What great talent and vision these people have!
This channel keeps me dreaming, especially on days like today when there is a blizzard outside. It keeps me planning and anticipating Spring's arrival. Thank you.
Thanks for doing these. It’s so fun to be inspired by gardeners around the world.
My favorite video of yours so far! Just fabulous ideas!
I have a gardener coming today to help me. I have a new home corner lot and basically don’t know my zone. Im used to southern Calif. to 8B. ITs hard. Full sun. Im absolutely going with flagstone. Its full sun. And very cold in winter. Its a challenge. My area matches yours with full sun so the struggle is hard. Loved these inspirational pictures. I have too sides. Both full un. Both hot both bare except grass. One side to our gate the other with AC. For me its the zen and learning it. I finally got a gardener that speaks English. Im a gardener at heart, my husband doesn’t know about plants what so ever. Its all me. Triple challenges. Love your channel and the help you offer.
Wonderful side garden. Oh ! How a I’m beginning to feel envious. Winter here making best of the hard greens & flowers 💐 🇮🇪
So many styles of gardening that I could not pick a favorite. They all were delightful to view. Thanks!
Hi we certainly have a narrow side yard hear. I do love the pink and green cabbage you have used in your window boxes!
Here woops
Everyone did a fantastic job with their narrow space gardens!
Thank you and everyone for sharing all these beautiful flower ideas. Can't pick just one. Please everyone continue what you're doing. And thank you Laura for doing this. Happy gardening!!!!
Oh dear...Some of those side gardens look better than my main garden.
This is awwwesome! So much inspiration...right now seems like all of my planting beds are in the before stage (and they're all narrow and mostly shade.) I've been overwhelmed with what plants to use. It's so nice to see such beautiful spaces, and to hear it took some people years of experimentation to get them where they are now. Thank you for putting this video together! I love seeing all of your wonderful projects and love seeing the inspired projects others have completed by watching your channel. Hopefully one day I can send in my before and after pictures!

I so love watching Laura! She is so inspiring. 🐝🪴🌷🌲
My parents planted about 3’ of Pachysandra around their house. Zone 7 Connecticut.
When they sold the house 30 years later, the Pachysandra took up at least 15’ on the northwest shady side. This seems to be the habit on Cape Cod too.
Be prepared to pull it up.
We bought our house almost 4 years ago and I am still trying to remove this plant from our yard. It has a very dense root system and it just won't die! The previous owners planted pachysandra all around the house and over the years it took over a beautiful walkway which I did not even know was there until 2 years ago. I definitely would not recommend this plant to anyone. It is in my opinion invasive.
Absolutely loved this video! There are some wonderful, beautiful ideas ! Can’t wait to see more!❄️💚🙃
Some people just have a gift! 😍😍🌲🌲
Thank you Laura!! This was fun to watch!! 🎉
Good morning! What great ideas for narrow spaces. Loved this.
Due to water restrictions because of our drought out west, we want to take out our skinny side yard grass , add drip and landscape with drought tolerant plants. We will never have the lush tropical look, but we loved the variety shown. Congrats to those of you chosen by Laura. What beautiful inspiring designs♥️
I only have a skinny side yard, no back yard! It has been challenging; great ideas!
Seeing the before and after of some of these side yards gives me hope for my own! LOL
Great ideas and beautiful transformations. We had a wicked snow storm last week and we lost some mature plants. These pictures give me hope and ideas for how to fix my yard in the spring.
