I got my rebel 2023 for $73,000 It’s got the red and black interior Hemi ETorque to tow (12,750lbs) Digital gauge cluster Sport mesh seats and ram box bed All I’m missing now is that split tailgate if anyone knows where I can buy one besides eBay lol Love my truck! It looks mean and I use it for my business all day everyday (I’m a contractor) Constantly pulling trailers, hauling tools, materials Etc! Oh also I pulled my 40ft pull behind camper through the mudd in the rain! And it did perfect! 9,000 lbs and all
Honestly, I’d have both. Here’s why. I’m Leasing the Rebel for an everyday driver. Plus Towing Capacity. I don’t need a 2500 so I’m good with 11k. It’s a beautiful interior, with a great sound system. 19 speakers with H&K and 12 inch screen. It’s my perfect truck for everyday life and just enjoying the truck overall. Now TRX as it’s higher price with a lot of the same features. It’s my DREAM truck. It’s limited to towing capacity by a large margin. It’s not meant for towing in my opinion. It’s a truck made for speed and doing bad 🍑 stuff with it. TRX would be my garage truck. It’s honestly more for show then everyday driving. The bad fuel mileage would make anyone dread their live for every day driving lol.
Love em both..But is it worth 35K more??? Not sure about that, but if I had tons of money I would definitely buy the TRX!!! That wrap is awesome Ben!😊👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
17/22 MPG for the Ram Rebel (5.7L V8) - a full-size pickup truck... I'm getting the EXACT same MPG with my old '05 Ford Escape (XLT; 3.0L V6/AWD)! 🚙 Why am I getting such low MPG, considering it's a small SUV? A thirsty lil beast... I'd pick the Ram Rebel - just because it gets the same MPG, lol! The TRX is way too thirsty (and pricey) - for me, at least! 😆
Rather have a Power Wagon than either of these models . Even though that HP is awesome. I can’t justify putting 100k down on Rebel look a like with just a hood scoop and wide flares as the difference. Don’t get me wrong the TRX is hell of a truck , but I was so looking forward to the concept one being produced
I have the 2019 Ram Rebel. It looks exactly like the Ram in red color except it doesn’t have the front parking sensor, 🍎 radio, and sunroof and I’m very happy with it. The MSRP of my truck was less than $42,000. After taxes, 4% interests, and $3500 bumper to bumper package excluding the tires, it cost me little less than $50,000. The TRX looks really cool. The vent in the center of the hood with led lights looks very stylish. However, I don’t think it’s worth $35,000 more despite the upgraded shocks and fancy interior. The TRX is less economic, the tire placed on the bed leaves a very nominal room for subcontractors like myself to use it for business. So overall, I find the reddish Ram and mine more practical and economic.
I wanted the trx but I think it has too much power and extra stuff. So the rebel would be a better goal for me. And since the trx is almost 100k I would be too scared to mess it up, although the rebel is still pretty pricey. But hey props to anyone who gets the trx it’s very badass.
That’s a really basic Rebel. My rebel is a 2020 with heated and cooled seats. Also, it has the side steps, the red stitching inside, the ram boxes, and air bags under for a 8in lift. In my opinion it’s not worth 35k for the TRX, if you want an off road truck get a Raptor but that was a base Rebel. You can damn near turn a Rebel into the TRX for 15k more still saving 20k. But a very good video nothing less
Yes it’s worth the $35K, even if it’s just to be able to pull up on any Ford Raptor and know you can smoke them in a drag race! Don’t get me wrong I love Raptors and I would love the opportunity to own one, but you gotta respect the TRX.
Driven both the trx and rebel and the rebel in my opinion is a better option as you can tow better better gas but still have the feel off a cool truck but the trx and just some next level badass shit 😂
Rather than repeat comments that I’m sure many other people have made, I just want to point out the one flaw that I seem to find in all of these really really high-end factory produced off-road vehicles like the TRX and the Ford raptor. That is it seems like all of this off-road performance comes at the expense of payload capacity, so the question becomes who wants to pay upwards of $80,000 for a TRX or over $110,000 for Ford raptor to have a vehicle that can take you anywhere off Road, but because of the reduced payload capacity, after you load the truck with yourself, a full tank of gas and a few friends you really can’t take anything else with you?
Bro there is NO question about it.... I'm gonna save myself that $35k and get the REBEL. Personally, I LOVE the REBEL, and for me... It offers pleeeennytyyy of power.
I'd get the Rebel. 35 thousand is a big difference if that's your daily driver. I live in the city, and driving fast isn't much of an option in traffic plus traffic 🚦.
Ram needs to make a option with the rebel motor. The front grill looks way better. The wheels are prissy looking and need to be all black . I like it .the green looks great .they spare tire needs to move out of the way
I’m very proud of my 2020Rebel Blue 3.0L eco Diesel every day in Highway back and forth from home to work so much power/ fuel economy! I noticed people got crazy / jealous for my Blue boy I park at home in the street he smashed Egg in windshield now I parked in my garage so it won’t happen again
I just bought a 2021 Ram Rebel Night Edition all blacked out... It's amazing... drinks gas in the city though... but I never want to get out of the truck. LOL
Just purchased the Rebel and enjoy it however with the 3.92 gears I can't get anything near the sticker mpg. I had a 2016 big horn with the 3.2 gears and could see 21 hwy. Best so far on the hwy is 14mpg.
Hands down Ram made a Super truck, now the real issue comes on the affordability for us the middle class. I love everything that the TRX offers which the only thing missing from the concept was the side exhaust pipes. However as Ben mentioned the Hellcat engine alone is worth 30K+ meaning the TRX body alone is worth around 45-50K. Everyday use the Hellcat engine is too expensive and too much power for my needs, 10-12 avg MPG is way too low and 700+ HP is way too much power. Ram will need to bring a lower Trim TRX with either a modified 392 Hemi around 500+ HP range and or a modified 5.7L Hemi around the mid 400+ HP Range, both engines are worth less than half of the cost the hellcat engine. The 392 Hemi is worth 10K+ and the 5.7L V8 HEMI is around 5K+ so a decently equipped RAM TRX with either engine under 60K is feasible. So far will have to wait and see how Ram will respond to Ford for 2022 model years as the Predator is in the making along the new body frame improvements. Ford most likely will attack the price range with their base V6 Turbo.
You said the hellcat engine is 20-30k. It's 21k and if you deduct the 5.7 hemi (8k) price from that It's really a 13k difference. So you're paying 17k-22k for a wide body and slightly better shocks and interior. The TRK looks great but the better value is the rebel.
I like my rebel 12 fully loaded for what I need it for and I like my interior better too .hellcat engine is enticing but no real use for it and guzzles more gas! Nice truck if you can afford it but I constantly turn heads with mine, and looks about the same
Old enough to know that dodge has just recently come of age and was a out of date turd for a long time. Technician 31 years young grasshopper. PS they all use the German transmission and all are having problems!!!!
I really like the TRX but I think I’m going to wait and see if they come out with one that isn’t all time 4x4.... that definitely wears things out faster and uses a lot more fuel.... you have a awesome truck... thanks for your videos buddy....
Zautomotive.com has a Tazer DT for it. The transfer case in the trx does have built in 2wd capabilities but ram didn't include it. The tazer unlocks it. It's awesome and I get 2mpg better in 2wd. Burnouts are amazing too. Lol. Check the video on my channel to see
You should use a mic on your videos, that way your voice is coming in clearer and not sort of muffled or distanced. Like when you turn your head from the mic on the device. Food for thought.
I absolutely love the TRX it's king 👑 of Trucks but, If I bought one I'd be little upset that it looks so similar to the rebel visually. I think ram should've made it little more different or just look more aggressive. From far you could easily mistake it for a rebel If you don't look at details. Raptor (don't like it because of the V6) on the other hand looks very different than a regular f150
The frame and suspension have no equal in normal manufacturing. I want to see one without the supercharger. 485 hp would still be great in that truck, and you wouldn't need to buy premium gas.
It’s absolutely wrong. That’s why I stay looking at 2019 fully loaded rebels for the cheaper price. These car manufacturers just pushing their luck seeing how much less they could put on the truck with buyers still buying.
The airbag issue of condensation freezing in the lines in the rebel still hasn’t been fixed in 2021 s and I own 2016 winter would b fun if could drive with air in the bags 🤬
Is that TRX yours? Just curious, I noticed you said "I debadged the tailgate". So I figured it probably must be your personal vehicle? If so, nice choice!
Anyone thinking of buying rebel with air suspension don’t the 2021 same as my 2016 and it sucks bad in winter on fourth compressor since 2016 the system has no dryer for the lines and condensation freezes leaving them flat then burns out compressor trying to pump up and csnt
it is not the most honest comparison as the Rebel is not fully loaded with all the options it can get while the TRX is more based on an offroad Limited.
Well if you make 150,000 a year or more i would go to TRX but less than 80k a year i would go to rebel, well of course i would choose the hell cat engine why not it depends on the budget
You could literally be hiding in the distance and wait for someone to walk past your tailgate on the Rebel and then hit the button on the remote and it would come down on them really fast. You could seriously kill someone with that tailgate!
You would think by 2021 Ram would’ve got rid of air suspension without fixing the problem with the airbags not working in cold temps I have 2016 and 2021 has same garbage I’m on fourth compressor so think twice about buying a rebel if u get anything colder than -20 c sometimes even at -15 bags are flat in morn and burns out compressor trx or nothing
Not likely if the cost of the hellcat engine is $30 grand. Plus there are differences in the actual frame, suspension and body. Maybe if we looked at the Power Wagon and then switched out the engine for the hellcat you could get closer performance wise
If you want a truck to be a functional truck, like a functional bed, ability to tow, uses regular gas, and still pretty fun, then get the Rebel. Digital gauge cluster
Sport mesh seats and ram box bed
All I’m missing now is that split tailgate if anyone knows where I can buy one besides eBay lol
Love my truck! It looks mean and I use it for my business all day everyday (I’m a contractor)
Constantly pulling trailers, hauling tools, materials Etc!
Oh also I pulled my 40ft pull behind camper through the mudd in the rain! And it did perfect! 9,000 lbs and all
the interior is better in the rebel. plus the green just doesn't look good. I would also remove the headache rack and swap out the hood and grill.
Rebel for sure for me. I don’t think I would ever use all that power in the TRX to make it worth 35 more for my usage.
Love em both..But is it worth 35K more??? Not sure about that, but if I had tons of money I would definitely buy the TRX!!! That wrap is awesome Ben!😊👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It comes down to what you what/need in a truck. Either way you can’t lose.
Uh cause it’s a ford
Rather have a Power Wagon than either of these models . Even though that HP is awesome. I can’t justify putting 100k down on Rebel look a like with just a hood scoop and wide flares as the difference. Don’t get me wrong the TRX is hell of a truck , but I was so looking forward to the concept one being produced
$100k on a rebel, where tf do you live
The differences between the Rebel and TRX go just a little bit further than the hood scoop and flares... Just a little bit.
@@HurricaneLaughter dude he is talking about three TRX costing a 100k
@@ericperry72 yes I had noticed that, left the comment to humiliate myself 🤡
I just got a 2022 TRX with a window sticker of $94,090 for $77,767.
I can’t decide on which truck to get the Trx or the rebel the only thing the bothers me on the TRX is the fuel range
Same situation for me
That’s a really basic Rebel.
Your funny ben that green looks pretty good on the trx!
@Burger King u
@Burger King Can I get a pile of garbage? A.K.A, the cheese sticks..
I say both of them and the Ram Rebel looks pretty cool
Nice to see what we get from the rebel!
I just bought a 2021 Ram Rebel Night Edition all blacked out... It's amazing... drinks gas in the city though... but I never want to get out of the truck. LOL
@@DylanNichols1989 😂😂😂
That “jolly rancher” color is lit 🔥
If I had to choose, I’d go with the Rebel! I just can’t justify the TRX being almost $40,000 more
For sure it's worth the extra money, but it all boils down to that these 2 trucks our 2 totally different trucks ..😁
So true!
REBEL fam all the way!!!
I like my rebel 12 fully loaded for what I need it for and I like my interior better too .hellcat engine is enticing but no real use for it and guzzles more gas! Nice truck if you can afford it but I constantly turn heads with mine, and looks about the same
Depends if you get a TRX that the transmission doesn't crap out on you.
Old enough to know that dodge has just recently come of age and was a out of date turd for a long time. Technician 31 years young grasshopper. PS they all use the German transmission and all are having problems!!!!
I think its definitely worth giving 35 thousand for the trx!
Love the look of the TRX exterior, but it doesn't beat the Rebel in my eyes. I love my silver billet Rebel
I don’t really like neither of those rim designs but if i had to choose one it would be the Rebel’s
Thanks Ben, your vid’s are helpful
I absolutely love the TRX it's king 👑 of Trucks but, If I bought one I'd be little upset that it looks so similar to the rebel visually. I think ram should've made it little more different or just look more aggressive. From far you could easily mistake it for a rebel If you don't look at details.
Raptor (don't like it because of the V6) on the other hand looks very different than a regular f150
Ram needs to make the rebel hood vents fulling functional or stop using them for looks cause it cheapens the truck
Top Speed Achieved 118 mph 😳😎 Awesome Bro.
Will the TRX headlights fit a Rebel?
The frame and suspension have no equal in normal manufacturing. I want to see one without the supercharger. 485 hp would still be great in that truck, and you wouldn't need to buy premium gas.
When I see a 60,000 dollar truck without a Bed liner I flip my shit every time.
Ben i believe the tailgate for the rebel is malfunction but it still ok i would pick the trx anyway.
I agree. My ‘20 Rebel tailgate has a soft drop.
I'm looking for the BEST truck to outrun zombies with all the bells and whistles and luxury package.
I wish they would just put out a Ram with the 6.4 WITHOUT the supercharger on it.
Congrats on 100k subs 👊. I like your ram video reviews
Like the green. How did you get ahold of it. My dealer said its not available
Just wondering if the TRX cab will make it in the HD class? Only reason I haven’t bought a 2500 is the lack of a adjustable steering wheel
Hey Ben Hardy are you going to comparing the Drive of both of them?
Yes
Is that TRX yours? Just curious, I noticed you said "I debadged the tailgate". So I figured it probably must be your personal vehicle?
If so, nice choice!
That’s why the gas mileage is worse. There’s no 2wd.
Why does the Rebel not have a damper for the tailgate? My 21 Big Horn Night Edition has a damper for the tailgate.
Wow trx exterior look awsome! can we modified rebel as trx (exterior)?
Damn where is that dealership it’s beautiful!
Both are nice trucks. My wallet says rebel but my desire days TRX
Hey Ben how are you ? Can you please review the new Camaro ZL1 or ZL1 1LE.
Check his chevy playlist
Anyone thinking of buying rebel with air suspension don’t the 2021 same as my 2016 and it sucks bad in winter on fourth compressor since 2016 the system has no dryer for the lines and condensation freezes leaving them flat then burns out compressor trying to pump up and csnt
That green sick but I get the rebel with green paint . Green color code
it is not the most honest comparison as the Rebel is not fully loaded with all the options it can get while the TRX is more based on an offroad Limited.
Well if you make 150,000 a year or more i would go to TRX but less than 80k a year i would go to rebel, well of course i would choose the hell cat engine why not it depends on the budget
I’m so sorry about that wrap. Maybe a video of peeling it off will get some views to help pay for it 🙏🤦🏻♂️
LMAO 😂🤣
is it really 35k or is it more like 50k since trx is pulling well over 100k
You could literally be hiding in the distance and wait for someone to walk past your tailgate on the Rebel and then hit the button on the remote and it would come down on them really fast. You could seriously kill someone with that tailgate!
Guess I need to start a you tube video review business so I can afford a TRX, lol
Failed to mention that the TRX has another full size spare under the truck.
Candy green TRX looks good but red better
My 21 Rebel has the 360 camera so ....?! TRX is there if you got money to burn. I think you get a Rebel and MOD up.
30k extra well spent, It's in investment to oneself why not! GREEN FOR SURE!
I do agree that it's worth it. Great video.
Loving the green!!
Does the TRX have cooling steering wheel and seats?
Wait does that mean the Rebel has the Hellcat Engine like the TRX?
I like it pretty much, it is my dream ride , but I can't afford that much.
You know that the air bag suspension is an option you don't have to add to a Rebel, right? They come base without it
Another question would be could you spend less than $35k in upgrades to the Rebel to get TRX-level performance?
Not likely if the cost of the hellcat engine is $30 grand. Plus there are differences in the actual frame, suspension and body. Maybe if we looked at the Power Wagon and then switched out the engine for the hellcat you could get closer performance wise
Maybe
@@Notanymore343 The Hellcat engine is $30k?
@@ringa8600 I thought that’s what he said at the end of the video. I’ll get a time stamp if I heard right
At 16:00-16:04 ish he talks about the price of a hellcat engine being between 25-30,000 USD (I’m assuming USD). I
