Simon it was a pleasure to meet you and Amy on that Sunday morning at the NEC. My Petronas R1 was sold for less than I was hoping but I think that the guys at Iconic did a great job and as you say the bike market is not in a good place currently so 29k UKP was for sure as good as I could get!!!
Hi Simon, like wise I couldn’t forget a man with such a great name, some you win some you lose. It’s been a bit volatile over the last three years. I personally had to take a hit on a bike as well, but it’s gone to a good home. It was a pleasure you meet you to. 👍
Great day out and thanks for taking us with you . The bike market has crashed and still hasn't hit the bottom . Its going to take a long time to get things going again and its people like you that help our passion survive . So thanks and keep them coming. 👍👍👍
It’s been a tough year for motorcycle dealerships in the uk, which gives people a opportunity to pick up a bargain, there was lots a bike sold over the day at the auction. The industry will bounce back. Thanks for the kind comment 👍
thank you for sharing mate - it was very interesting. hopefully thought that the nsr would make the highest bid and so it was. no surprise for me. greetings from vienna.
Thanks Simon. Thats a great video, superb editing and presentation. Real fun to watch but what complete madness these auctions are. With a hammer price of £10K the seller actually gets £8,800 and the buyer actually pays £11,800! The auction house pockets £2.5K and £500 VAT. Am I wrong?
Thanks buddy, Glad You enjoyed it. The seller will get the hammer price and the buyer will pay 15% plus vat on the 15% the seller pays a auction fee to put there bike in. So on 10K the buyer pays 11,845. I think over the weekend the auction sold over 9 million in bikes and cars combined. Not bad for the weekend sale 👍
7:41 I have the same model it's not an sp..what made the sp different was a dry clutch. Did fetch a decent price and they are really fun bikes to ride! Best model at the auction was your wife she's a stunner 👍
Interesting 🤔 I’ve just checked the guide book and it says SP but I didn’t even look to see if it’s got a dry clutch. Thanks for the comment. It’s great to see all these wonderful bikes in one place.
@@thatbikersimon The only difference in the 88 was the dry clutch. The later nsr sp's had a dry clutch with the addition of magnesium wheels and I had one really wish i kept her! certainly is a buyers market.
Here we go again " ALL THE HYPE AND BULL SHIT FROM THE AUCTION HOUSE " ESTIMATED PRICES. The SMUCKS soak it up. Buy one and try selling it YOU WILL LOOSE MONEY GUARANTEED . Most of the time the AUCTIOEERS WILL WANK YOU OFF TO THERE "ESTIMATED PRICES" .
1990 norton f1 rotary fetched good money, my mates selling his for £14000 ! might be after more after seeing this,.Z1's were cheap at £8k, rgv for £5k was bargain but rubbish colour, MV was nice and £17k was ok money, ducati race bike was a bargain to,.good auction ,..
Hi Simon, I must say Amy B is one beautiful lady. She has such a wonderful personality. Thanks for the video you’re one lucky man have such a beautiful wife , Cliff from Australia
@thatbikersimon that's yamaha speed blocks haha I'd make sure that's a legit bike right there. Don't know if anyone would build a genuine nsr500 in yam decals

Thanks Cliff, Amy B is a great helper when it comes down to the camera work. I’m lucky she puts up with my motorcycle addiction 😂👍
