I never comment on videos, but I had to on yours because they are fantastic! I rarely subscribe to anyone, but I did to you because of several things:
    1) You get right to the point and do not waste time (yours or mine).
    2) You don't pretend to know everything, but do explain what you do know very well.
    3) You provide us with products that are inexpensive and easy to find.
    4) I can't think of a better way to say this one... You don't act like "I am so cool and everybody loves me" (while flipping your hair and looking at the camera like you are doing a photo shoot for Vogue). Thank you SO much for that one.
    5) You don't swear.
    6) You obviously love your sweet family, but don't act like you are the only person that has one.
    7) You are realistic and "down to earth".
    8) Your hair looks great!
THANK YOU and keep doing these!

Hi Lori! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment & thank you for watching. I am very flattered & can appreciate everything that you said because I myself am a youtube watcher. All of the things that you mentioned are important to me. I am a real person with a full time "non-youtube" job and a mediocre lifestyle hahaha my house looks like an 80 year old lives in it and my clothes don't always match but I just try to be real and be myself. xoxo you made my day

Hi Susie, just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. Growing up, I struggled a lot with even liking my hair cos I just didn't know how to take care of it or style it and it took me a long time to love my natural hair. It's been almost a month and a half that I've been trying the curly girl method after I saw it in your videos and I even got my friend to get me the bioterra gel when she came here to India visiting from the states so I'm pretty happy with the results so far. It's still in the transition phase, I guess, so not looking that great but I'm hopeful that with time and being consistent, I'll let there to where it looks and feels great. So a big thank you again.

So happy I found this channel. I am in the process of growing out my hair and letting it curl again after doing the keratin treatment 3 times. My hair is damaged (not from the keratin itself, it did not damage my hair at all, but I did keep straightening it even through the treatment as it couldn't fully straighten it on its own) and now I'm in the transitional phase.
It's a struggle and at times I get discouraged and want to just go back to straight hair, but seeing her videos really makes me want to stick with it.
I love the way her hair looks, it's so healthy and shiny and bouncy, and my natural pattern is very similar to hers, maybe a little tighter, but just seeing how gorgeous her hair looks really motivates me and makes me so happy and excited about what my hair could look like if I continue.

Susie, THANK YOU so much for taking time to share with us! I am new to your channel, but very glad that I found you. I have struggled with my curly hair with washing to styling and sometimes I felt just hopeless to get a non frizzy, shinny curls. I have been using your routine for about 2 weeks now and I love what it does to my hair. Had even less of an idea to "refresh" my hair. Now I know! Also, the products you use work very well for me too. Awesome!
Hope you enjoyed your concert :)

Great tips, I never thought to refresh section by section. Also, just wanted to say that I appreciate that you always add a little humor, like with that little saying, I always say “good enough for the girls I go out with”, a popular saying in the military. I’m new to the CGM, i have been flat ironing my hair since I turned 15, and I finally decided to embrace my messy wavy curls. You’re my favorite guru, you keep me motivated, and I like how you show that you can still get great results without spending an arm and a leg on Deva Curl products! Keep up the good work!

I love your videos because you explain and do everything so simple, not complicately routines and with things that all of us have in our houses. Some people make us feel like if you don't have the deva curl diffuser you can't diffuse and you have your diffuser tape to your hair dryer and I love to see that! I use my mom difuser from the 80's and sometimes I feel like I should buy a new one but this one works perfect. So thanks for being so relatable ❤️❤️

Hi Susie! Your videos are seriously the most helpful ones I've found. I purchased the CGM Handbook and was totally overwhelmed. I found you on Sunday, and I think I probably spent nearly 6 hours that day watching. I did my final wash with sulphate that night. CG all week.
I spent my whole life ashamed of my hair, damaged the hell out of it, so I could look like 'all the other girls'. Day 4 results are not half bad. Can't wait to see what the future holds. Thanks again! You're a godsend!

as someone is has finally decided to just embrace my natural hair (a whole heck of a lot easier than wearing a cap every time there's any moisture in the hair) , I love your channel. Just like the CG method, gets right to the point and keeps it simple. The other curly hair channels mean well, but unfortunately can become too overwhelming.. especially for someone who's a recovering curly hair woman, and a mom to boot. Thanks for the help.

OMG I love this and you!!! You are one if not the only one I’ve come across with that actually would rather wash their hair daily than do a refresh. I’ve always washed my hair (shampoo and conditioner) everyday since I was a kid. But after getting to know the CGM I’ve only used conditioner everyday and no poo shampoo every 4 days or so. I just feel like my hair gets dirty throughout the day even if I’m indoors 90% of the time (so hard to change this habit!) BUT thank you for this tutorial, will be using it on days I’ll try not to wash. 🤗

Hi Susie! Great video as always ;) your videos definitelly changed my life as before my hair was a mess. I used to wash my hair everyday to make them look acceptable good but since I follow CG routine it's enough for me to do it only twice a week. Have very similar hair type to yours although probably a lot more frizzy. When I use products everyday I find my hair too sticky so to refresh I use only a spray bottle with a little conditioner diluted in it. Cheers!

I think you had a similar video about refreshing curls. I do basically the same thing you do, but mix the conditioner and gel together, then do the "praying hands". I usually let my hair air dry, then scrunch, but when I'm in a hurry, I diffuse. I sleep in a satin "bonnet", and my hair will have soft waves in the morning. Great tips, as usual!

Meg Marcella - Lol - I just wrote the same thing ... Make a solution in my spray bottle! My personal "elixir" is distilled water, As-I-Am Leave-In Conditioner and either Mielle Honey & Ginger Styling Gel (for a little less "cast" and a little more protein) or Bioterra Styling Gel (like S uses)! The combo saves a couple steps. 😊

Great method for refreshing. I do a similar method but have to use a lot more water until it's really soaked otherwise it gets really stringy or frizzy. I think I have 2b or 2c hair, but it's super thick, very coarse, even my strands are thicker than average-it's a love/hate relationship with my hair LOL.

I find it I use product every day my hair gets weighed down, so I just damp my hair and scrunch it with a trashier I've also noticed in my ten weeks doing cg method that my hair is super glossy I've never had really glossy hair and I just air dry I've done no heat for ten weeks I'm really pleased with myself, and your hair looks amazing I wish mine would go like that but it's early days yet

wendy wendy Same! I tried using products like this for three days in a row and my hair got really weighed down. Some days this may work, but my usual refresh is to dampen/wet all my hair in the sink (but not soaking wet), turn my hair upside down, and then scrunch a curling cream through it.

Thank you so much. Could I possibly add some conditioner and gel into the bottle of water, shake, and spray with similar results? Always looking for faster refreshes.

Very similar to how I refresh. If I want a lighter looser look I'll skip the gel and just use the leave-in, but I only have 2c hair, if I had more curls I'd be more ready to diffuse and use more gel.
I also had no idea The Wiggles were still around! My little brother used to looove them when he was a tot, about 15 years ago now?

Great video, as always. I just love your videos! I'm about 5 months into CGM and I'm still getting the hang of what my hair likes and doesn't, but the one thing I tried that is my go to is bioterra gel, and I only tried it because I saw it on your videos.

Love your videos I’ve been trying to get my curls back - what a slow process. My hair underneath is curling again but front and top is not completely there. I also find the hair that’s lightened doesn’t curl - don’t know if the chemicals caused it 🤔 but haven’t given up. BTW my husband luvs curly hair. Question do you know if glazing or Olaplex restricts your hair from curling?

My kids are watching a show and I wanted to watch this so I put my phone speaker up to my ear so I could just hear your tutorial and I can hear faintly paw patrol in the background. Hahaha! I cannot survive without that show!

You can also buy those coil hair elastic bands at the dollar store as well. I also have a diffuser that doesn't fit on my hairdryer held together with duct tape.

I was thinking about mixing the conditioner and gel into the water bottle. Is there any reason this might not work well? Btw thanks for your videos, so far they have been the easiest way for me to learn how to care for my curly hair.

I do the EXACT same thing as you S, except I actually have just blended my leave-in and my gel in with the water in the spray bottle; shake it up, and spray and do the praying hands, etc., etc., and I get pretty much the same result. A little less product build-up for my personal hair type between shampoos. Loved you confirming it works for you too! 😀👍🏻

The hair tie is called Invisibobble and I swear by them! When they get stretched out you can shrink them back to shape with a hairdryer.
