For the last time. Teach is the final antagonist. Imu and the Gorosei are just a stepping stone. Teach has all the build up and foreshadowing. How can you still think the WG is the final villain group after Auger hit us with the "The World" line. Teach will be the one to take over the WG and rule the world, where Luffy then has to defeat him to free the world.

I remember seeing a theory relating to Ju Peter. In Japanese (シェパード・十・ピーター聖) his name features what looks like a cross. Historically Saint Peter was crucified in Rome by Emperor Nero (known for his cruelty and sadism) on an upside down cross, as blame for starting a fire in Rome. It could tie into the belief that Ju Peter will betray (Nero)na Imu in some way in the story.

As a sandworm, an animal who kinda moves unnoticed under the ground, makes sense if Ju Peter is the traitor/undercover. It’s also the only one whose form doesn’t really fit the demon theme.
If there is going to be a traitor Gorosei, it's definitely Ju Peter. Based on the positioning of the Doflamingo / Imu panels, Ju Peter occupies the same position as Corazon would, if he were to have been in the picture (based on the positions of the swords in both panels). Additionally, Ju Peter is the only Gorosei that have questioned the World Government at any point. During Wano he questioned why the WG felt the need to hide the real name of the Gum-Gum Fruit. He was also the one who questioned Imu as to why they selected Lulusia. Finally the most important part that I believe to be the key to the puzzle lies in real life Christian theology. Saint Shepherd Ju Peter is named after Saint Peter. Assuming that Ivankov was right when speculating about Imu's identity, they would be Saint Nerona Imu. This namessake most likely is a reference to the real life Emperor Nero. And it just so happened that it's said that Emperor Nero killed Saint Peter by method of cruxification. The precedent for cruxification as a method of punishing Celestial Dragons has already been set with Figarland Garling killing Mjosgard in this way.
to add onto this, the first portion of Ju Peter's name is represented by the kanji for the number "ten" (十), which is also used in the word "cross" (十字架, jūjika), not to mention that the character looks like a cross, this is from the wiki btw. Keep in mind japanese allows for many other characters that would produce the sound "Ju" so oda chose to use this specific character.
The video transponder snail in the Gorosei’s room in the latest chapter was modeled after Warcury. That’s another example of Oda giving him a bit more emphasis than the rest

Warcury is self proclaimed god who transforms into a fire boar known in mythology for destorying towns. Kozuki Oden defeated a large boar that was considered a god who was destroying a town. There is a straw hat who wants to follow directly in Oden's footsteps too, though one who hasn't joined just yet; Yamato. I get that Dragon should have a win, but I think they've established the God's Knights as the threat the Revolutionary Army are working around so they'll probably be the army on army fight with Dragon taking out Garling. As for Ju Peter, he is such an obvious matchup for Jimbei it hurts. It's Earth vs Sea, it's the character most likely to push a Strawhat off the red line vs the one who can survive it and then climb back up it again like Fisher Tiger.
The tension I felt was between Warcury and Akainu. Akainu will most likely fight him. I do not think Dragon will fight one of the Gorosei. Either he will help against Imu or he will take care of the God's Knights with the Revolutionary Army.
Idk if you saw but, the Summoning Circles have numbers on them. We already know that Saturns in No.5. In chapter 1110 on the first double spread we can see that Mars Circle is No.4 and we can kinda make out a No.3 on the circle next to his which is Warcury's. Following that pattern, V. Nusjuro would be No.2 (which you can also make out the pattern 2 for the circle next to Warcury), and Ju Peter would be No.1 following that logic. Was just a cool tidbit, I thought I'd mention because I didn't see you mention it in the vid. I also think Artur mention what I was talking about in one of his latest videos.
@@fullydiminished Also if you look at the order in which we see them for important moments like they're introduction or they're name reveals. It follows that same order if you count from 5 being Saturn. It's always 5 = Saturn, 4 = Mars, 3 = Warcury, 2 = V. Nusjuro, 1 = Ju Peter.
Morj mentioned the numbers on his stream. Personally I also think that Warcury is the strongest but other options would be interesting as well. Like Ju Peter, the seemingly youngest of the gorosei being the oldest/strongest.
It could be more like that the numbers indicate the level of strength in a different way (ie: the middle number, 3 being the strongest while there is decreasing strength as we move to the left and right of 3, kind of like a horizontal scale with the middle, which is 3, being the most intense). So this might indicate that Saturn and Jupiter have the same level of strength, Mars and Venus are equals but stronger than Jupiter and Saturn while Mercury is the strongest of them all.
It's not really surprising, though. Garp clearly cares about his son and grandkids, and Garp literally refused to be an admiral bc he despises the CDs. So even though he disagrees with Dragon's methods, he probably views Dragon as a misguided but noble and good-hearted person in the same way he views Ace and Luffy. It'd be out of character if he called Dragon a terrorist tbh

If anybody is going to be a traitor its going to be mars Saturns yokai, the ushi oni, is cruel & savage, bringing disease, which correlates with saturns character of being cruel to Kuma & bringing the sapphire scales to Ginny & Bonney If their yokai's all corrolate to their character then Mars is the odd one out The itsumade, Mars' yokai, isnt cruel like the gorosei are portrayed, The itsumade will appear in places that many people have died, asking in a terrible voice "itsumade?" Translating to "until when?" Which is said to be asking how long the suffering will go unnoticed. Also a interesting fight for Sanji could also be JuPeter, as seen Jupeter is a worm, tunneling underground, Sanji has observation haki but weve only seen that once so an observation haki boost for Sanji could be earned from that fight
If you look closely we see the numbers one the circles, Mars was number 4, mercury was number 3, Venus number 2, Jupiter number 1, mercury is also not always in the middle , in the Throne room with Sabo he wasn’t, and the reason he’s in the middle so much is cause he’s number 3

If Zoro is to fight Venusjoro, I think it will be AFTER he’s defeated Mihawk and has become the World’s Strongest Swordsman. With him taking down Ethan Baron being the first thing he does with his newly claimed title.
tbh I feel like in the final battle zoro would be more likely to fight garling, and brook fights nosjuro. I think the straw hats would power creep pretty heavy before we get this fight
Yea definitely, he should defeat Mihawk before or around the same time Luffy becomes pk, which we know wont be at the end of the story. Not just because Mihawk is tied to Buggy who is in the pk race but because Zoro has said before that to be worthy to be the right hand of the pirate king he needs to become the worlds greatest swordsman. About the Garling fight he doesnt rly have dynamics to anyone yet so it can be anyone like Zoro, Shanks, Dragon or even BB or Garp.
Given how Onigashima went I would also speculate that the rest of the straw hats require some matchup as well in that conflict. My major guesses would be for the Seraphim, but this conflict could be a 3 fold. Imu/Gorosei/Seraphim vs. Blackbeard Pirates vs. Straw Hats/Revolutionaries If the final conflict is a 3-way battle, the surprise fighter makes a lot more sense as BB. In general, the end of one piece is going to be insane and I love it
Maaaaan I’d love to see a team up attack of Luffy, Bonny, Kuma, Kizaru, and maybe Sentamaru all team up to finish Saturn this arc. I think you’re 100% right where Saturn is the main bad of Egghead, all of his themes as well as the characters he’s connected to are all in this arc. The truth of the world being revealed, one of the elders dying, and an admiral defecting would make one hell of an “egghead incident”.
Think you hit the nail on the head with the Mercury vs Dragon matchup. Thematically, the Godhead of Justice facing off against the leader of the revolutionary group that directly opposes that brand of justice makes sense. Akainu is a dark horse contender for Mercury as well because as Fleet Admiral, Akainu is basically the public face for Justice in One Piece. With the truth being exposed to the world, it would be interesting to see Akainu and Mercury fight as well, although I think I prefer Mercury vs Dragon more. I predict: Mercury vs Dragon V.Nusjuro vs Zoro + a potential clash with Brook Mars vs Sanji Jupiter vs Kuzan Saturn vs Luffy The reason why I say Jupiter vs Kuzan is because Jupiter is the one who gave the order to kill Clover to prevent him from saying the name of the ancient kingdom which eventually lead to the buster call. Given Kuzan's ties with Robin and Saul, I think it would be interesting to have Kuzan and Jupiter fight against eachother.

Great video Morj, I wanted tto note this since this is the second video you've released stating that Doflamingo had/wanted 5 seats. Having recently just refinished Dressrosa (what a ride that was) I wanted to remind you, as it may have been some time since you've touched on the arc... Doflamingo had 4 seats. Vergo was the 1st "Corazon" up until he infiltrated the Marines for his covert mission. Rosinante became the 2nd "Corazon" 14 years after Doflamingo had taken on piracy as his method to bring down the world. (Doflamingo wanted Law to replace Rosinante as the 3rd "Corazon".) Vergo maintained his status as an "elite/chief officer" and a key member to their operation, but he did not continue to hold a seat, as there were only 4 seats leading the hierarchy. I bring this up, because if the main idea that Imu will be betrayed by a subordinate is prompted by the parallels with Doflamingo, that may be a discrepancy that makes it less likely to occur. This was in no way a "call-out" or "I know One Piece better than you", just something I noticed with the arc fresh in my mind. Thanks for another fascinating upload!
That's idiotic ... Sanji will obviously stay and protect Nami and the crew. Unless Mars flys over and attacks Sanji/strawhats/the sunny, he won't fight a Gorosei on egghead. Maybe in the future.

Sanji will keep the girls safe. He's not leaving them. If mar flys over, that's the only possibility of him fighting a Gorosei on egghead. In the future, I'm sure he may eventually fight a Gorosei. But he's not leaving the weaker crew members and disobeying Luffy when the whole point is to escape.

3:15 "Some degree of conflict between Saturn and Luffy" -> Luffy: "👀👀👀👀 😤" And people say Gear 5 didn't ruin Luffy's ability to bring tension to important high-stakes fights. In the past Luffy would definitely goof off early on in the fight, like the teeth gags with Arlong, or Water Luffy vs Crocodile, but he ALWAYS got serious when it mattered as the fight built up. Everyone said serious Luffy was back after the single panel where Luffy finally frowned for a microsecond before smiling again on the same page, but now they're backpedaling as fast as they can.
They are clearly numbered and not in planetary order tho. Each summonning circle is numbered, and they have always appeared in the same position from left to right, wich is the same order represented by their summoning circles.
To me the most clear indicator that Ju Peter might betray Imu is simply age. All the other Gorosei are noticeably older than him, and a common theme in One Piece is for the new generation to overtake or surpass the previous generation. It could be that Ju Peter doesn't know all the truths of the history like the other Gorosei, or maybe his younger age will provide him with a fresher perspective on the world.

I think throwing Koby in the mix for a gorosei matchup would be possible. He could use a “hero of the marines” moment and I think he could have a fight against akainu but Sabo seems more likely to defeat akainu. If Koby does fight an admiral then I think it would be kuzan.
Akainu vs Sabo is clear endgame match I think Mars is more likely for Sanji as its fire themed and I do think the other one is likely going to betray Imu in Egghead so most likely he will die here and Saturn lives and is the final matchup for Bonney
No I don’t think the gorosei are that strong the more I see of people like franky reacting to Saturn and damaging him or Jupeter getting his head cut by dorry and broggy the more the gorosei disappoint me I actually think the more important antagonist to the final saga are the god knights interms of portrays they actually have the possibility to be top tier since out of everyone in marigold gorosei and admirals included dragon was mostly worried about them and it seems like they are actually the main fighters of the wg so it makes more sense if people like zoro and sanji get to fight a god kinght instead of a gorosei maybe it will all make sense when the god knights are actually revealed
i dont think the story is written for the strawhats to have all out battles with the gorosei here. Im not sure how they would even start to damage saturn, but if they could figure it out I do agree that Saturn should go down here. But to go as far to assume that zoro and sanji are going to fight the gorosei is such a stretch. The story is written to protect the video and survive the attack… not for the strawhats to have an all out war with the gorosei here. Nothing says that Oda has to reuse old patterns to fit the next order of events. We still have the ancient robot that hasnt done anything yet and theyre still in the middle of evacuating the island. Its not that i dont want to see cool fights and feats but i would much prefer the story to play out in an interesting way than to force the characters into a fight.

If a Gorosei were to rebel, I’d assume Ju Peter. He always seems to be the most skeptical or silent on WG plans and one time during the Lelusha incident I believe he directly questioned the others slightly. Also when Imu sat on the empty throne, Ju Peter and Nesjuro were the only ones not to speak to imu and ask what island to destroy next. Ju is also seemingly the youngest of the group so maybe he isn’t as vicious on order or filled the spot in the gorosei from another who died or left previous.
I agree with your matchups for Mercury, Venus, and Saturn. As much as I’d want Sanji to fight Mars, I believe he will end up fighting Jupiter as he is the God of agriculture and that thematically fits Sanji more. I see either Law or Kid fighting Mars, and Sabo will fight Akainu.
Fk thematically this theme is so thin it doesn’t matter sanji should get an awesome aerial fight and oda is a fraud if he doesn’t do that he’s robbing Sanji of all the awesome fights that he deserves
The summoning circles of the Gorosei have numbers on them. Saturn had a very clear to see 5, but the others have numbers too, just hard to see. Mars has 4, Warcury has 3, Nusjuro has 2, and Peter's is not shown, likely making it 1 (unless it's 6 and say Imu would be 1). This is, notably, different from the planet order.
Im still intrigued on the idea of Mars being related to the Gan Fall in some way, During Skypiea there were some moments where he kinda mentioned how awful humans can be, and having a ¨young¨ Gorosei makes me think Gan Fall was banished for betraying Imu making Mars the next Traitor
I used to have Sanji fighting Ju peter but now looking at the gorosei zoans forms I definitely got Sanji fighting Mars because it will be a cool aerial flame battle.
This is my own prediction: Luffy and Dragon vs Im Yamato vs Mercury (parallel to Oden slicing a mountain god in half) Zoro vs Venus Sanji vs Mars Jinbei vs Jupiter maybe if he doesn't rebel Bonnie vs Saturn (I do think he is not going down here. I wanna see Bonnie beating Saturn over Luffy doing it. She can still become stronger before the final battle) Sabo is definitely taking on Akainu coz of Ace. The god's knights are the tricky ones but if Shanks is still alive by then, Shanks vs that moon hair knight. As for the rest of the god knights. Maybe the grandfleet captains, Law and any strong allies that can use haki. BB pirates are not playing any role by the end of the story, I believe that BB is Luffy's final opponent before reaching Laughtale, then after becoming the pirate king, the world war will take place against the world government.
If there is betrayal amongst the Gorosei, I think it would be Ju Peter. He transforms into a sandworm that may play a role in destroying the Red Line. Mars might just be a Sanji opponent being a giant bird, and Sanji is the only one of the crew that can fly. That's assuming the gorosei fights aren't paired fights (i.e. Zoro and Brook vs V. nusjuro due to the heavy theme of death and both being swordsmen). The other oddity I've come across is if Ju Peter is a sandworm and not a traitor, would the proper place for him to battle be Alabasta being the sand island and heavy links to Imu/Void Century?

Based on the numbers on the summoning circles and the order their 'forms' are introduced this chapter, it appears that from 5-1 its: Saturn Mars Warcury V. Nusjuro Ju Peter I'm a believing in the theory that they all have had the eternal youth surgery done in the order of most importance to Imu. Ju Peter is #1 and looks the youngest and the difference in their ages is the time it took for the fruit to reincarnate and be used.
Before that. I predict with the upcoming long break, Oda will in usual fashion give us a huge lore/cliff to dwell and theorize about in the mean time. I think this is going to be almost certainly the Vegapunk Announcement

I think I’ve heard theories that people believe Ju Peter will be the traitor, as he is the youngest of the 5. I think him being a worm (which can mean a dishonorable person) further proves this because it is very similar to a snake body wise. And a snake is someone who is a traitor.

Marcus Mars may be the defector if theres a gorosei traitor at all based on the itsumade lore dealing with lamentations or regret of the dead waiting for vengence or justice. Mars is always standing with his hands in his pockets(sus) and gets the least amount of dialouge out of the 5. The end game gorosei matchups may be Jimbei vs Warcury(the knight of the sea vs the rain diety) Sanji vs Mars/Saturn(depends on if saturn dies or if Mars defects, whichever happens first sanji will fight the other) Zoro vs Nasujuro(self explanatory) Dragon vs Ju Peter, (its a dragon vs dragon fight, would be cool to see a sandstorm fight too)

Didn't the Gorosei have number on their demonic seal when they TP in EggHead Island ? Jupiter is 1 Mustachio guy 3 and mars is 4 ^^. The number is also coherent on every pannel where the Gorosei appeared, left to right ; 1 to 5.
I would say that Koby is a better fit than Akainu. Thematically, it would make sense for Kobys story to come full circle here, from being a weak boy with a dream to becoming a marine, to taking out a Gorosei, risking his dream for the greater good. It would show that he’s grown physically and he’s mentally matured.

You are spot on with the dragon thing! When we analyse the structure of previous arcs with a rebellion story line which probably is intended foreshadowing (Skypiea, Dress Rosa) normally the rebellion leader or leader of the “good guys” gets a fight with one of the commander (Viper, the Soldier dad of the princess) as does Luffy with the number 4 or 5 of the crew (Blueno, Cracker, maybe even the sea cow hahaha). Of course this is a structural argument and Oda can break it as he wishes but yeah it sounds solid for me

If there is going to be a traitor Gorosei, it's definitely Ju Peter. Based on the positioning of the Doflamingo / Imu panels, Ju Peter occupies the same position as Corazon would, if he were to have been in the picture (based on the positions of the swords in both panels).
Additionally, Ju Peter is the only Gorosei that have questioned the World Government at any point. During Wano he questioned why the WG felt the need to hide the real name of the Gum-Gum Fruit. He was also the one who questioned Imu as to why they selected Lulusia.
Finally the most important part that I believe to be the key to the puzzle lies in real life Christian theology. Saint Shepherd Ju Peter is named after Saint Peter. Assuming that Ivankov was right when speculating about Imu's identity, they would be Saint Nerona Imu. This namessake most likely is a reference to the real life Emperor Nero.
And it just so happened that it's said that Emperor Nero killed Saint Peter by method of cruxification. The precedent for cruxification as a method of punishing Celestial Dragons has already been set with Figarland Garling killing Mjosgard in this way.

to add onto this, the first portion of Ju Peter's name is represented by the kanji for the number "ten" (十), which is also used in the word "cross" (十字架, jūjika), not to mention that the character looks like a cross, this is from the wiki btw. Keep in mind japanese allows for many other characters that would produce the sound "Ju" so oda chose to use this specific character.

There is a straw hat who wants to follow directly in Oden's footsteps too, though one who hasn't joined just yet; Yamato.
I get that Dragon should have a win, but I think they've established the God's Knights as the threat the Revolutionary Army are working around so they'll probably be the army on army fight with Dragon taking out Garling.
As for Ju Peter, he is such an obvious matchup for Jimbei it hurts. It's Earth vs Sea, it's the character most likely to push a Strawhat off the red line vs the one who can survive it and then climb back up it again like Fisher Tiger.

The tension I felt was between Warcury and Akainu. Akainu will most likely fight him. I do not think Dragon will fight one of the Gorosei. Either he will help against Imu or he will take care of the God's Knights with the Revolutionary Army.

Idk if you saw but, the Summoning Circles have numbers on them. We already know that Saturns in No.5. In chapter 1110 on the first double spread we can see that Mars Circle is No.4 and we can kinda make out a No.3 on the circle next to his which is Warcury's. Following that pattern, V. Nusjuro would be No.2 (which you can also make out the pattern 2 for the circle next to Warcury), and Ju Peter would be No.1 following that logic.

Morj mentioned the numbers on his stream. Personally I also think that Warcury is the strongest but other options would be interesting as well. Like Ju Peter, the seemingly youngest of the gorosei being the oldest/strongest.
It could be more like that the numbers indicate the level of strength in a different way (ie: the middle number, 3 being the strongest while there is decreasing strength as we move to the left and right of 3, kind of like a horizontal scale with the middle, which is 3, being the most intense). So this might indicate that Saturn and Jupiter have the same level of strength, Mars and Venus are equals but stronger than Jupiter and Saturn while Mercury is the strongest of them all.

I think you’re 100% right where Saturn is the main bad of Egghead, all of his themes as well as the characters he’s connected to are all in this arc. The truth of the world being revealed, one of the elders dying, and an admiral defecting would make one hell of an “egghead incident”.

Think you hit the nail on the head with the Mercury vs Dragon matchup. Thematically, the Godhead of Justice facing off against the leader of the revolutionary group that directly opposes that brand of justice makes sense. Akainu is a dark horse contender for Mercury as well because as Fleet Admiral, Akainu is basically the public face for Justice in One Piece. With the truth being exposed to the world, it would be interesting to see Akainu and Mercury fight as well, although I think I prefer Mercury vs Dragon more.

Given Kuzan's ties with Robin and Saul, I think it would be interesting to have Kuzan and Jupiter fight against eachother.

Great video Morj, I wanted tto note this since this is the second video you've released stating that Doflamingo had/wanted 5 seats. Having recently just refinished Dressrosa (what a ride that was) I wanted to remind you, as it may have been some time since you've touched on the arc... Doflamingo had 4 seats. Vergo was the 1st "Corazon" up until he infiltrated the Marines for his covert mission. Rosinante became the 2nd "Corazon" 14 years after Doflamingo had taken on piracy as his method to bring down the world. (Doflamingo wanted Law to replace Rosinante as the 3rd "Corazon".) Vergo maintained his status as an "elite/chief officer" and a key member to their operation, but he did not continue to hold a seat, as there were only 4 seats leading the hierarchy.
I bring this up, because if the main idea that Imu will be betrayed by a subordinate is prompted by the parallels with Doflamingo, that may be a discrepancy that makes it less likely to occur. This was in no way a "call-out" or "I know One Piece better than you", just something I noticed with the arc fresh in my mind. Thanks for another fascinating upload!

And people say Gear 5 didn't ruin Luffy's ability to bring tension to important high-stakes fights. In the past Luffy would definitely goof off early on in the fight, like the teeth gags with Arlong, or Water Luffy vs Crocodile, but he ALWAYS got serious when it mattered as the fight built up. Everyone said serious Luffy was back after the single panel where Luffy finally frowned for a microsecond before smiling again on the same page, but now they're backpedaling as fast as they can.

They are clearly numbered and not in planetary order tho. Each summonning circle is numbered, and they have always appeared in the same position from left to right, wich is the same order represented by their summoning circles.
To me the most clear indicator that Ju Peter might betray Imu is simply age. All the other Gorosei are noticeably older than him, and a common theme in One Piece is for the new generation to overtake or surpass the previous generation. It could be that Ju Peter doesn't know all the truths of the history like the other Gorosei, or maybe his younger age will provide him with a fresher perspective on the world.
I think there will be 7 goresei. Yes i know it means 5 but i think the female servant with imu will be someone strong n garling will become a goresei. Earth n moon.

I think throwing Koby in the mix for a gorosei matchup would be possible. He could use a “hero of the marines” moment and I think he could have a fight against akainu but Sabo seems more likely to defeat akainu. If Koby does fight an admiral then I think it would be kuzan.

i dont think the story is written for the strawhats to have all out battles with the gorosei here. Im not sure how they would even start to damage saturn, but if they could figure it out I do agree that Saturn should go down here. But to go as far to assume that zoro and sanji are going to fight the gorosei is such a stretch. The story is written to protect the video and survive the attack… not for the strawhats to have an all out war with the gorosei here. Nothing says that Oda has to reuse old patterns to fit the next order of events. We still have the ancient robot that hasnt done anything yet and theyre still in the middle of evacuating the island. Its not that i dont want to see cool fights and feats but i would much prefer the story to play out in an interesting way than to force the characters into a fight.

If a Gorosei were to rebel, I’d assume Ju Peter. He always seems to be the most skeptical or silent on WG plans and one time during the Lelusha incident I believe he directly questioned the others slightly. Also when Imu sat on the empty throne, Ju Peter and Nesjuro were the only ones not to speak to imu and ask what island to destroy next. Ju is also seemingly the youngest of the group so maybe he isn’t as vicious on order or filled the spot in the gorosei from another who died or left previous.
I really dont think they are fighting here. Saturn was shown to be stronger than everyone here but luffy. They aint ready.

If there is betrayal amongst the Gorosei, I think it would be Ju Peter. He transforms into a sandworm that may play a role in destroying the Red Line. Mars might just be a Sanji opponent being a giant bird, and Sanji is the only one of the crew that can fly. That's assuming the gorosei fights aren't paired fights (i.e. Zoro and Brook vs V. nusjuro due to the heavy theme of death and both being swordsmen). The other oddity I've come across is if Ju Peter is a sandworm and not a traitor, would the proper place for him to battle be Alabasta being the sand island and heavy links to Imu/Void Century?

Marcus Mars may be the defector if theres a gorosei traitor at all based on the itsumade lore dealing with lamentations or regret of the dead waiting for vengence or justice. Mars is always standing with his hands in his pockets(sus) and gets the least amount of dialouge out of the 5.

Jimbei vs Warcury(the knight of the sea vs the rain diety)
Sanji vs Mars/Saturn(depends on if saturn dies or if Mars defects, whichever happens first sanji will fight the other)
Zoro vs Nasujuro(self explanatory)
Dragon vs Ju Peter, (its a dragon vs dragon fight, would be cool to see a sandstorm fight too)

Didn't the Gorosei have number on their demonic seal when they TP in EggHead Island ? Jupiter is 1 Mustachio guy 3 and mars is 4 ^^. The number is also coherent on every pannel where the Gorosei appeared, left to right ; 1 to 5.
I would say that Koby is a better fit than Akainu. Thematically, it would make sense for Kobys story to come full circle here, from being a weak boy with a dream to becoming a marine, to taking out a Gorosei, risking his dream for the greater good. It would show that he’s grown physically and he’s mentally matured.
If akainu fought him it would be way more interesting and believable

It just is Akaniu already has beef with the gorosei personally unlike Koby and seeing a story of a fleet admiral fighting a gorosie to be the only leader of the world government is Much more interesting then Koby also power scalling wise it’s way more believable for akainu to fight a gorosie then Koby who’s still probably weaker then Jinbe who ISN’T fighting any gorosie

You are spot on with the dragon thing! When we analyse the structure of previous arcs with a rebellion story line which probably is intended foreshadowing (Skypiea, Dress Rosa) normally the rebellion leader or leader of the “good guys” gets a fight with one of the commander (Viper, the Soldier dad of the princess) as does Luffy with the number 4 or 5 of the crew (Blueno, Cracker, maybe even the sea cow hahaha). Of course this is a structural argument and Oda can break it as he wishes but yeah it sounds solid for me
You should look at the Divine Comedy's Celestial Spheres for hierarchy as that is what the Gorosei are based on, not on the planets.
