There was a firefight. They were shooting in all directions I can't believe they walked into an ambush I don't believe they did, I can't find a single track. It just doesn't make sense

Some ideas to help with your efforts to hunting the supernatural: -Add fletchings to the spear-gun wooden stake, ducktape is a good and cheap way. -Instead of using wooden slugs, silver plated projectiles will also work greatly more affectively, and allows you to hunt more things, silver plated flichetes might be interesting option for the 10 or 8 gauge. -Dragon's Breath rounds would work great against vamps and maybe werewolves. -Flamethrower, self explanatory. -If a vampire, threaten to send Ozzy after it. -When in doubt use more explosives, can't attack you when they are spread out over a few hundred yards. This of course is in good jest but do try to add fletchings to the spear-gun wooden stake, it should help with accuracy.
The biggest issue with harpoon stake guns accuracy was, that the harpoon was still moving inside the barrel, when gun recoil was pushing the gun up; this makes recoil push the harpoon much higher. You can see this in the slow motions.

These tests are perfect, I did these last year against a TON of small vampires trying to threaten me with tricks if I didn't offer treats. The cops didn't understand that I was just trying to protect the community

I'm surprised that Scott hasn't considered trying to track down a version of the sawed-off shotgun from the opening of Blade: Trinity. It shot some mean-looking silver stakes, and I'd love to know if they could actually work.
@@ChishioAmenot hard to find the pistol, then you have a good gunsmith modify it. For firing silver stakes you'd have to decrease the powder load because they'd be much heavier than a 12ga load and you don't want excessive chamber pressure.
In some lore, silver bullets work, too, although originally that was just werewolves. Also touching them with a crucifix could make them burst into flames like sunlight.

Fun fact about vampires photography and mirrors. The reason vampires wouldn't show up in mirrors and photography was due to boths' silver content. old mirrors used silver backing as did old photo plates. But the logic is vampires would show up in modern mirrors and cameras due to the lack of silver being used in both. Modern mirrors use aluminum film with a glass or plastic lens over them.
This is some "From Dusk till Dawn" stuff right here. Actually, one of the more interesting pieces of Vampire Media I remember from childhood is "Vampires, Los Muertos" with a character who uses a 12 GA with hardwood slugs with a lead core to give them more punch.
I would love to see exotic wood shotgun slugs. Stuff like Bloodwood, Purple Heart, and Coco Bolo would be super interesting to see out of a shotgun! Alternatively, I would love to see how bulletproof some of these exotic hardwoods are. They can get really dense, and wreak havoc on chop saws.
My choice would be the harpoon gun, but i would like some more pointed projectiles, because it has to go all trough the heart to defeat a vampire. Basic knowledge for us, the vampire hunter community.
The thing about staking a vampire is that the heart is a small target and vampires are fast. Also, some turn into mist, others can mind control you and we’ve got at least one who can stop time.
Would you ever consider doing an episode testing out medieval siege weapons like ballista, catapults and trebuchets? There's a lot of those types of videos already but it would be great to see your reactions and takes. You could also dress up as a knight.

I've never commented that, but I agree completely. Guns are for mature people, but profanity is immature and unnecessary. I've shown my teenage daughter several of Scott's videos. Shout out to Demolition Ranch, too. He's got kids of his own and sets a high standard of conduct for them.
It depends on which depiction of vampires though, I know in some versions, vampires can only be killed by A) beheading, B) burning, or C) exposure to sunlight. A stake in the heart will only cause a vampire to go into stasis. However, this leaves them immobilised, allowing you to finish it off by any of the three methods described above.

According to IMFDB, it's actually a WWII-era German signal pistol modified to fire 12ga ammo, so I imagine it'd be _really_ hard to find one of those.

My choice would be the harpoon gun, but i would like some more pointed projectiles, because it has to go all trough the heart to defeat a vampire. Basic knowledge for us, the vampire hunter community.

The thing about staking a vampire is that the heart is a small target and vampires are fast. Also, some turn into mist, others can mind control you and we’ve got at least one who can stop time.
For those more difficult to deal with Vampires, it's best to be well practiced in the Joestar Secret technique

I've never commented that, but I agree completely. Guns are for mature people, but profanity is immature and unnecessary. I've shown my teenage daughter several of Scott's videos. Shout out to Demolition Ranch, too. He's got kids of his own and sets a high standard of conduct for them.

It depends on which depiction of vampires though, I know in some versions, vampires can only be killed by A) beheading, B) burning, or C) exposure to sunlight. A stake in the heart will only cause a vampire to go into stasis. However, this leaves them immobilised, allowing you to finish it off by any of the three methods described above.
