Glad one of the guys I meet up with was a gun smith and checked everything out for me . Told me I could have blown the gun up using the wrong ammo. If it didn’t penetrate the back of the damn shield, what supposedly shot out of TGE shield on its right??? It happens to everyone from time to time, so I think he was aiming for side he marked and pulled the gun n hit it on the opposite side! If I’m wrong I will admit I’m wrong, but if I’m right he should have to admit he jerked or pulled and hit it where I said where he did!! Not really. After the 1st shot thru the steel, and hardest part of the shield, I was sure that glass would instantly powderize/vaporize with the secret ingredients of Mass plus... Speed. Works every time. Not sure how well it would have stood up to the bigger-bore rifles but not all of em were hardened/solid metal, like brass in the rigby's case. The 4bore looked to only be a lead ball, not gonna get much penetration with those materials. Try something solid brass for all calibers and bet at least a couple of the other bullets would have made it thru the shield

Edit: ignore my calculations below. As @seth094978 has rightfully pointed out, the calculations I made did not equate to psi. I had mistaken ft-lbs for pounds of force. I did some further research and found that the maximum pressures of 4 bore and .416 Rigby are 36,259 psi and 47,137 psi, respectively. This does not change my conclusion that the .416 Rigby exceeds the 4 bore in terms of pressure, though my process in coming to that result was flawed.
For those wondering, here's a comparison between 4-bore and .416 Rigby.
A 4-bore slug is estimated to produce around 7,000 ft lbs of force. With a diameter of 1 inch, this gives it a cross-sectional area of .785 square inches, meaning it produces around 8,900 psi of pressure.
A .416 Rigby, on the other hand, produces only 5,115 ft lbs of force. However, with a diameter of just .416 inches, it has a cross-sectional area just shy of .136 square inches. This gives it a whopping 37,633 psi of pressure, over 4 times the pressure of a 4-bore slug. *This* is why it punches straight through the VANT ballistic shield, cinder block and probably another mile of trees and dirt.
