Bro you should build enclosures because you do a fine job. I WOULD personally buy a box built for two vxfs.Hav a pair of the 15s and the lows are so good on musid and nasty loud on spl.
@@HiFiVector I would pay for the shipping and cost of enclosure. Want a box for two Audio legion gladiators 15 .They would be going in a Ford explorer if you're interested ?
What skar prefab box you think is best for a single ran 1 ohm. The evl 12 loaded combo it had support for magnet built in, and is a different box than what is currently sold empty. I like the box those you have
I have a pair of them dual 2Ω, with the Fs at 36hz and the VAS at 0.5378³ feet they perform better in small boxes with lots of port area, a 1.7³ feet, 35² inches of port area tuned to 32hz should be the sweet spot.
Hey there, if I want to use 8 gauge wire from the amp to speaker terminal does the jumper wire also need to be 8 gauge or could I use 12 gauge from 1 set of terminal to the other set, since 2 x 8 gauge won't fit in the first set of terminal
The vxfs are nice subs. If skar beefed up the coil a bit,I'd consider it a top contender. Subs like DC, crossfire, and fi use the tall basket and short motor design.
Hopefully I can make this short but I need some help picking my next sub.....Right now im running a DDX 10 in a 1.9cuft tuned to 42 (I know very high lol).BTW if you get a second you can see the last 2 videos I put up are of the system and the type of music I play(rock and rap)......And overall I love the "sound characteristics"...Good punch and seem accurate. Tuning is a tad high I should have went with a 36- 38ish tune as I listen to all kinds of music, but I tuned high because I wanted to make sure I can hit the kick drums in rock music......BUT I want to reach a little lower (bass is non existent under 32hz) at least to 30hz if not to 28........So leads my to my issue, I want more output in a similar "sound" so im looking at getting a 15. Im between RS GOLD V1 15v, DDX 15, , and the VFX 15 (a tad outside the price range but I can make it work lol....But I hope you understand the "sound" im looking for....This is with a Massive D8000 amp (2k at 1ohm) In a Lexus GX 460 (SUV) .....Any help much appreciated, and if you have another recommended sub in the 200-250 (300 if that much better) range let me know.......BTW love your videos.....Ive watched alot of them, love the detail you bring and more technical look at them....instead of just "Do they bang" lol........Every word you used to describe the RS GOLD V2 15 is exactly what im looking for BUT I dont think I have the power to drive it or electrical for it or the wallet right now.... $400 is about $150 over where I want to be.
For whatever reason, lots of 18 inch subs in the car audio industry suck. I seen it so any times where there is a line up of subs from 10 to 15 inches that sound good, but than the 18 is sloppy in comparison almost like they are designed that way.
Avatar stu 1546. Love to see how you feel about them compared to these. I had to make the choice between them or these. I went with the avatar and got them even cheaper on the big sale. Great lows. Push a lot of air.
Sweet I was watching them this season and they were 280 all last month but not anymore now that I want one dang it 😢 it’s like that everytime man 😂 Hey that clamping ring around the spider securing it to the basket, is that ring made of a plastic or metal ? And could you do me a small favor and slide off the rubber magnet boot and measure the actual stack ? If it’s not to much trouble it would help with what I’m trying to do
I have the evl 15 in their box, I am been pounding it at 80% for 3 years so far. I am not into comps so I am ok with having the ryobi of subs. Still hurts my ears and that's plenty.
ps.. i want subs that will piss my neighbor off like shake his living room from the driveway lol, im still saving so i have time to decide but dam so many options to choose from
Well for a smart 5 you will need a high output alternator like 300 to 400 amps. Big 3 wiring and 2 runs of OFC 1/0 wire going from front engine compartment to the amp. And a lithium battery or a couple AGM batteries. 5000 true watts needs a lot of electrical.
@@HiFiVector dang I was hoping you would not say alternator mine is not located on top like most vehicles it's under the intake manifold which is a pain in its self to get out just replaced it over the weekend lol
@@HiFiVector thank you, I need this cus I do a lot of custom subwoofer builds and a lot of non-factory reconing and have no T/S Parameters to give people...I just tell'em use the manufacturer Parameters of the original sub before we changed basket and soft parts...
What sub do you recommend for spl but sound good? I have a box for 6 12s that originally was designed for sundown sa 12s But I don’t want to run sundown to be honest, just not now .
The VXF is a very underrated subwoofer. They can handle a bunch of power and never lose control of the cone. They sound amazing, you won't be disappointed with spl or accuracy.
@@HiFiVectorwhat year ? They are very reliable and the engines are built like a tank because 10 years ago My homie had a black one with a 150shot of dry nitrous and it never got a break and yet that mofo still hauled ass!!!! I own a pair of these. To be honest, anybody thinking about getting them, you won't be disappointed. Why pay more for other brands. True and tested

Have you done a review on the sundown x 12’s? If so I can’t find the video. I like your videos since we got the same vehicles.
I’ll do a review on those soon.
I have the same speakers! Do you have the specs on that box or a video on how to make those boxes?
2.1 cuft 34hz 24sq” port area. I built them more for SQL
Man i love ur box building those look so good. Like atleast 500 dollar boxes.
Thanks so much brother!
I've been breaking in my 2vzf12s for over a year on 2 rp2ks and they are still stiff as a board LOL. Great video 👍🏼👍🏼

VXF 15 or Resilient sound good 15 v1. Going in a ported spec box. Which will get lower with better SQ. Powered by a fosgate prime 1200
Honestly, you can’t go wrong either way they’re both excellent but with your amp the resilient would be a little more efficient on that 1200
Great video. I hope to purchase some of these in the near future. 💯
Thank you

Yo Hifi i agree man. Id love a comparison between the vxf and avatar stu. Im looking at upgrading my vxf15 to the stu15 or maybe even the svl15
I had one vxf 12 in a 3.0 cft box for almost 4 years and its still slamming best sub I ever owned I want 15s should I go American bass?
VXF one of my favorite subs. I would go resilient sounds Gold V2 or VXF for a 15”

Have you considered trying the savard ho subwoofers or the brutal sounds subwoofers
Not really into Savard but I may look into the brutal sounds.

Thanks so much! Not sure on when I’ll get to that one.
What are the box specs and the port area??
Do you make enclosures?? the ones in this vid is a perfect color match for my ride
I do but not for the public

Do you think be good sub for spl or would evl be better?
Vxf for sure . EVL is great but not at the same level as the vxf or zvx
What sub do you like more, vxf or resilient sound gold v1?
Man they are both xlnt . I love both . Skar is tighter slappier and RS Gold V1 is smoother warmer. So both xlnt just depends what you like.
Which sub will hit the lows the best Sundown U15 or Resilient Sounds 15 gold v2 or Skar VXF15?
All good subs but in my opinion, the RS gold V2

What is the budget? Just curious?
Sound integrity sql 12”. As far as the sq world goes that is a budget banger that puts out and hits

That is EXACTLY what I was going to recommend
Did you break them in or just straight to the video?
They were moderately broke in before the video.
Was u wired to .5 or 1 ohm also where did u peak at? Frequency wise. I think i seen d4 on the sticker on the motor but not sure.
1 ohm and peak was around 38 to 41 hz
Will these sound good in a sealed box?
They sound decent and n large sealed boxes.
Nice Box work BTW!!!
