I can't believe the American Bass Elite isn't on the list! Same ribbed surround and face as the XFL. 3 inch voice coil. 1200 watts rms. And only $135 each! Killer value. I have 2 of them on a Skar RP-2000.1D

I have always enjoyed having some JL Audio products but once I went through trying many different products out there it's like that saying once you go black you never go back once I went JL Audio I never really wanted to go to anything else. Don't get me wrong I tried many other brands and they sound great and I do have other brands of car audio in many different vehicles that I have. But I recently tried sundown and they could handle some power.

That's what everyone love about them, they are over built, and real punchy, but any time people talk about SQ they always go the other route..
I had a 12 w7 and it sounded very good and clean, but went with a skar evl and it put that 899.99 dollar jl to shame, and couple other subs I've had that I spent a qtr of what I spent on the jl sounded almost as good but hit a hella lot hard
Yeah I am trying to upgrade my jl right now . They sound good but I need more . My mirror shakes . But I want the the window to move too . So jl is out for me
I love my Skar EVL-18s. For the price... You Can Not Beat It.
I constantly play down to 15hz without any hiccups.
But for my next set of subs I'm either going:
Sundown NSV4-18
FI Car Audio BTL Neo-18
RE Audio XXX-18
RE Audio MX-18
I'm torn between those three Brands, and 4 subs.
As you can see from the list I like a long throw subwoofer.
2.5"+ in XMAX or more, which is needed for 20hz and down clarity.
Granted NONE of these subs are budget friendly for four of them.
It will be as cheap as $2400 or as high as $4800.
You gotta pay to play hard

Good stuff bro, I am currently rocking the svr15 for almost a year and thinking about skipping the evl and going straight for the vxf15 or go with the evl18 (mainly for low hz) with skar rp2k

@BudgetBassHead I purchased the EVL kit (12" Sub/Box/RP2000.1D) and Im upgrading to the RP3500.1D Amp, would there be a noticeable difference if I upgraded the subs to the 12" Skar VXF subs? They use the same ported enclosure dimensions and seem like they would be better performers, Im asking you because you own them both.
Could you do a test between the EVL and the VXF in the same 2.0 cu box?

Newbie question here, but assuming you have an amp with sufficient power (RMS) to power a sub at 2 ohms, does it put less strain on your vehicles electrical if you wire your amp @ 2 ohms instead of 1 ohm?
I, currently, have an Orion 2500.1 & I'm looking to add a single sub (12 inch) to it & if I can put less strain on my electrical, I'll purchase the dvc 4 ohm version instead of the dvc 2 ohm version.
I'm currently considering the Audiopipe TXX-BDC4, Skar EVL, & the American Bass XR-12.
I'd greatly appreciate your input.

I’ve been running the bdc4 12s for a year and a half. I just picked up a pair of VXF 12s interested to see how it stacks up against the audiopipe. What are your thoughts between the two. The bdc4 is relentless 😂🤣😂🤣

I just got the evl’s12 in scars box. Did not get a chance to hook up yet. Have to run all bigger wire and ground wire.

I haven't seen too many videos of the American Bass XR 12". I've seen a few, but those videos were not in depth videos, didn't have much info about how it sounds, and I've never seen it compared.
May I ask your opinion xfl or American bass xr series which is louder?

When I type in what is the best sub on google . The rockford p3d4 keeps coming up in several different sites . How would it compare to a skar svr or well I guess I cant buy an sa because they are out of stock everywhere t . But I'm stuck at 1.8 ft ported box . And I have big three upgrade but no hi output alt or extra battery . 4 guage wiring all around . Best battery I could buy at auto zone lol. I will upgrade my amp if needed I have a prime 500 is all .
I have the xfl 12 and the evl 15 .and i have to say the xfl is a better sub even being a smaller sub . I plan on trying the vxf 15 next only due to price soundqubed is actual my favorite brand ive tried all of their subs, and i love their products. im hoping the vxf impresses me.

This is great info . However I dont see me putting 3 amps in my car plus whatever else it takes to run 3 amps to achieve 1 subwoofer in my trunk . I have done a big three upgrade . But I have a stock alternator and the most expensive battery I could get at auto zone . I also have a .5 Farrad. Which does help with headlight dimming. I have a 500/1 rf prime amp . And the jl audio dual 12" sub wedge . The box only has 1.75 cube feet for each 12. How am I gonna get better results ? Should I get jl audio w3 instead of w0 ? Someone help me . I have 4guage wiring. I willing to buy another amp but I dont want to remove the 4 guage wiring because i have an ef civic and dont want to push my electric system to a breaking point the battery is small. I'll buy a bigger farrad to . What is next move here ?
The price of the american bass makes me think go that route even if I have to change some things .

I’m sorry man I love your videos but I am extremely impartial to the skar brand after their EVL line consisted of coil rubbing inside and very poor warranty services.

I don't mind my NVX 12's... they hit, they aren't powered well as I only have a stock setup for my power supply. I really could use an extra battery.
Yep, extra battery if a good start. An alternator upgrade is even better. But doesn't fit everyone budget.

Awesome, my xfl has a alpine type r surround it was fixed sometime I got it from a guy and I love it sounds amazing and that bitch takes a rockford p1000bd on at 1 ohm all day never smells and sounds awesome it actually ripped big ass wood screws outta 3/4 mdf so as I'm making a double baffle for it I was using a old school audiobahn immortal 15, 2250 rms quad coil ,running that p1000bd at .5 ohm and it was banging and ripped out the damn drywall screws outa 3/4 pylewood lol back to the drawing board

Frank Young I had an l7 and went to a single vxf and it has so much better quality and spl for a fraction of the cost. I have used my truck as a daily with this sub for a couple months on a Skar RP2000. I don't take it easy. Full power everyday to and from work. 5 days a week, around 45 minutes of driving everyday. I can tell you first hand that the VXF will beat the L7 any day of the week.
Need more sound level in the narration and less sound level with the back round music. Can hardly hear you talk.
The elite are way better.. they are cheaper and have higher wattage rating the nee xfl are 1000 rms
