Love this video and proud of you of being honest with yourself. I find more videos like this where you're human with your own experiences with finances is what people need. What you went through with the comparison trap reminded me of my own experiences. I think you'll benefit from reading "Gap & The Gain" by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy. He explores how high performers measure ourselves to an ideal that's not helpful to us - lead to how you were feeling. Instead focus on the gain of how far we've come and reframes the way I see gratitude. Keep up the great work dude!
You're saying people are richer than you think it's easier to say because you can take a 3 month vacation. Even middle class workers can barely afford 1-2 week vacations.
You da 💣, yo! Years ago I kinda wanted a Lamborghini as my 'dream car.' I even made a phone call one day to get some print information on a specific Lamborghini model. (I don't even have it anymore.) It didn't take me 'too' long to finally decide I don't really care if I ever get a Lamborghini or not. I especially don't want one unless it's all electric.
My thoughts are, if you have clothes on your back, a roof over your head, and food on the table.
