Very nice review with a very logical combination of guns. I agree, that Ronin is just speced out perfectly and could not look any better! Lets face it if you like a gun your going to shoot and enjoy it more.
Hey pro I’ll give you an update. I was looking to add a 9mm 1911 to my collection. Bought the colt and a Springfield. Got the colt for 969.00 and the springer for 836.00 both in stainless. Gotta say the colt has it all over the springer. Had to change out the 9pound recoil spring in the Springfield just to get it to return to battery. The Colt is now at near 500 rounds without a single issue. Springer seems to be doing better since changing the recoil spring to a wolf 11lb. All that said , the springer is just not quite at the same level of fit and finish.
Good stuff I’m on thence between the now. I am a colt fan for resale although I’ve never sold a single 1911. I’m guessing I’m going with the colt. Great video you earned a sub. Thanks for sharing.
Good now remember if you want to keep your life time warranty send it back to SA for upgrades like Magwell night sights and front checkering and ambidextrous safety

I always wanted the Colt Government Competition and I am glad I bought it but I do feel the Springfield Ronin is better, it's one of my favorite guns!

Have you compared either of these with Magnum Research 1911 G. I’m having hard time deciding which one to get.
I haven't tried a Magnum Research but I can say the Ronin is a great gun for the money.
Cast vs forged now make the decision
I upgraded the trigger in my colt competition. That thing shoots great now. No take up at all in the trigger.
