Timber Rattlesnakes are fantastic creatures, that every year we work our tails off to find, photograph, and videotape to share with the public. These snakes are magnificent and we have gained more knowledge and respect for these creatures over the past three years than we ever would have imagined.

Where were you able to to find the glycerin you used to tan the skin? I’ve been looking online and am having a hard time finding pure glycerin, I just got a good sized rattlesnake last night, it’s in the freezer now but I’m gonna skin him in a few days and wanna make sure I get the glycerin and and rubbing alcohol mixture correct.

My buddy got the glycerin from Walmart or rite aid. He used a 50/50 glycerin to isopropyl alcohol mix

I can’t give you a 100% knowledgeable answer but I would say just handle it with caution and wear gloves to avoid getting any kind of fluids from the snake in any cuts in your hands
