This was excellent! I have shingles right now, and the only question I had that she didn't ask is, should you still get the vaccine after you've had shingles.... and then the doctor volunteers that, having already had shingles, he's been vaccinated. So there you go, all questions answered. Great video.

Very very helpful video. Currently suffering from Shingles and its unlike anything I've had to suffer from in the past. My rash has only been very faint but its feels like the worst sunburn being put under a boiling hot shower constantly! And the nerve pain feels like I've pinched a nerve on top of that every now and then it feels like I'm being punched in the ribs. I cant wait to be rid of it! I've been given Codeine but it only just takes the edge off, hopefully the anti virals will help! Thanks again for a great video

I currently have Shingles on my face. It has attacked my ear and started as an ear ache. I am older. I had the single dose shot years ago. I’m at the end of week 3 and have been on a nerve pain med for 4 days. This morning the pain woke me about 3. I put a cold compress on and went back to sleep. Then a few minutes to 5 it woke me again. I put a fresh cold compress on and the pain was so severe. It was the worst of tge 3 weeks and felt like all the nerve endings were firing at one target in my cheek
This has interfered with my work and i have low energy. I’m eating high lysine foods, no caffeine, lots of supplements, eating soft foods as chewing hurts my teeth
Get the shots. You don’t want to go through this

This bout of shingles started out with what I thought was kidney stone's...The pain has been unbearable. My local ER said I had backed up bowels..I told them multiple symptoms, but they could care less..Ended up going to Clarion ER thinking my bowel was about to burst with severe pain...They said shingles,I have the back and side rash...It's almost 4 weeks now and I've spent near every night crying and feeling like a wounded animal..Inhumaine treatment for pain...or should I say none, except Valtrex...I would not wish this on anyone...I pray for a decent night's sleep without severe pain..Laying down makes it worse, much worse...

It started at a point under my left shoulder blade. I have had this pain before but it was just located there. But the pain continued and went around into the breasts area. Finally on day 5 as the pains increased, I thought I was having a heart attack. So I went to the ER, put through all the preliminary tests for heart attack. Doctor came and wanted to really look over my upper torso and he found a red spot on my back and one on my breasts. Told I was having shingles. Now the area of the back where I had the first pains is covered with a rash in a strip form and runs around to cover my left breast. The pain is continuous. If I had to rate the pain on a 1-10 scale, I would say they go from 5-9 now. Now as I enter into week 3 of the rash and 4 weeks of pain, I would do or take any opoid to get relief.

I am 61y.o. and have had this for 3 weeks now. Severe pain in my left SI joint and in my left piriformis muscle was first sign, but I thought it was a repetition of torn ligaments in the, then, absence of any other symptoms. Went to osteopath for a manipulation but no improvement like in the past. Pain then spread down my left leg and about a week later blisters first appeared to the left of the base of my spine at the SI joint and over two days spread down my left leg and also across the top of my left foot. The itching and burning has been bad but the muscle spasming pain and random lightning pain is the most debilitating I have ever had in my life. LYCRA (pregabalin), even at 150mg per day, is not stopping the leg pain..... it's just making me feel vague. This is by far the worst illness I have ever had and I wish I had known about the vaccine before contracting it.

My beautiful kind selfless mother passed away 6 weeks ago and so it’s been a very emotional time. 7 days ago I developed singles on my trunk from one side of the front above my belly button to the back. It’s been one week and the mild rash started day 1 then by day 2 there were more. By day 3 they became blisters but very little pain. Over the next two days they’ve become fluid filled. Now into day 7 and very little pain if at all even though the fluid filled blisters are still there. No itching. I’m hoping this is as bad as it gets.

Just in case you weren't aware, the doctor is saying you should get the vaccine at age 50 and not 15. The captions on this show him saying 15 and that's incorrect. I don't know when they changed it to 50 because I was always told 60. I was planning on getting vaccinated in Jan 2022 (the year I'll turn 60) but came down with shingles in Nov. 2021, just a couple months after recovering from covid-19. This stuff hurts. If you had chicken pox you really should look into the vaccine.

My daughter, 25 never had chicken pox but had Only the Vaccine as a child. She is now suffering on the eyelid and she has sores in the scalp and bumps on the side of forehead. First signs of the parts of the face are head sores and red eye then gets worse if you don’t catch it in time, you must go get oral virals and cream. I need to know what you can take for pain besides Tylenol, that does not really work well.

Currently have shingles. Didn't even realize it until I went to the dr complaining about a burning pain on the left side around rib cage that wraps around to my back. I thought it was something internal. Then a small rash appeared under my left breast that itches and hurts. I am itchy and it burns. Hurts to touch. Shirt and bra rubbing against it makes it worse😩😩. Dr put me on anti viral med that is definitely helping. Also have a little numbness under my left breast.

I thought the same thing Barbra. I called my cardiologist and he could not see me right away and suggested I go to the emergency room. With Covid peaking, I have heard nightmare stories so I decided to wait another day or 2 and I called my MD that could do an EKG in her office. I noticed I was feeling itching especially on my back and noticed under my arm than on my left breast. I did read up on it because like it or not I have to continue working but a lot of what I do is on the computer. I see my MD tomorrow and I am going to ask her about EmuaidMax. It is supposed to help and it is Homeopathic. Not sure what she will say. Boy, I wish I had that vaccine.

Three (out of four) of my children have had the chicken pox. I have embarrassing photos to prove it. My mum couldn't tell me if i had chicken pox but assumed that I caught all the old time diseases. Great video. Are people with diabetes at more risk of getting shingles i.e. immuno compromised?

This was very helpful. I currently have shingles. It’s the worst pain ever. I went to a cardiologist before getting the shingles because the chest pain was so bad. Two days later my husband took me to the emergency room because the chest pains were so bad. Everything was normal so far as cardio at both the Drs. and at the ER. Two days later I started to think I had the beginning of shingles because my Mom had them. It had just started so the Dr put me on antiviral drugs. I’m trying everything I can to relieve this pain. No luck yet.

    FOOD TRIGGERS
    LEARN THEM
And even , if a food loaded with Arganine does not cause
    or , initiate an outbreak
Notice how tired and perhaps achy you feel when you do consume such foods
    Chocolate
    Nuts
    Seeds
    Gelatins
    Night shades
    Grapes
    Blueberries

I am not sure if I have shingles or not. I have a skin condition that starts as a very itchy area which will first turn pink, and if not treated, will progress to a red circle and then a a pustule like a pimple or zit. If it becomes a zit then it will leave a gray mark on the skin.
I am using every immune supplement I can find with no success. However it is not a massive outbreak, it is a red spot here and there. The itching is maddening however.
I have found that if I put castor oil on when it is just itchy, or a pinjk area, the area will stop itching immediately and then it will go away, leaving no mark.
I finally started applying castor oil to my entire upper body every three or 4 days for complete relief. I will do the same to my legs if it appears there. The condition seems to be very sensitive to sugar, with sugar causing a fresh outbreak within 24 hours.
I use a little foam painting trim brush to apply the castor oil to spots. I cut the thumb off of a plastic nitrile glove and then slip the glove-thumb over the foam trim brush. This combination will last a very long time (many months) and keep the castor oil off of my hands. I use a small plastic cable tie to secure the nitrile thumb to the trim brush.
