Danielle you certaintly have an invincible spirit within your heart!! SO FITTING YOU WOULD HONOR YOUR LOVED ONES AND ALL CANCER PATIENTS THRU YOUR BEAUTIFUL GARDEN!! MY BLESSINGS TO YOU!!! You are a garden blessing! Thank you!!❤️ judy in Pensacola Fl. Love your channel!
Danielle, you are precious. A true blessing with a gentle heart. Thank you for inspiring me time and again. Oh, and I’m soooo wanting a hydrangea hug now! 💞
Hello Danielle. I love watching your channel. This video hits home. My mother, grandmother and sister-in-law all passed away from breast cancer and my youngest daughter has gone through treatment for breast cancer. My daughter was tested and found she inherited the BRCA1 mutated gene from her father's side. She also had to undergo a total hysterectomy due to it being linked to other cancers. The testing for the mutated gene is very important especially if someone gets breast cancer when they're young. Thank you for supporting breast cancer 🎀 treatment.
Hi Danielle I know how emotional cancer can be…, I actually lost my precious baby boy a year ago, he was battling leukemia, and I learned that you are not alone there are so many people and organizations that are there for support is very touching . I started gardening this spring and is keeping me hopeful ❤️ thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I am terribly sorry to hear about your precious baby boy. I cannot imagine. I am sending you a virtual hug and will keep you in my prayers. I mourn with you my friend.
Im so sorry for your loss! My mom is battling stage 4 cancer at the moment and we keep getting bad news. I started gardening so she can have fresh flowers everyday. Sending you virtual hugs💞
What a beautiful and sweet thought! Our daughter is 39 and has Brest cancer! They have no idea, at her age, how she got the cancer that generally women get at over 60. She’s in a research at the UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. I cant think of a flower that offers a hug every time you look or touch one. I’ve gone absolutely crazy over them. I have gotten some I had never heard of, Fuji Waterfall, Felicity, Fairytail Bride and of course a lot of limelight and BoBo, Blushing Bride and 1 pink climbing and 1white climber and several others. I really enjoyed watching! Thank you for the tribute!
The goodness of your soul and generosity of spirit truly lifts me Danielle. Particularly today as I am devastated that my darling little 6 week old granddaughter is in ICU in Sydney, Australia on a ventilator and I am stuck in New Zealand unable to hold her. I am taking solace in planning my garden for spring - when God willing, my son and daughter-in-law are to bring her over. The tips on the hydrangeas are so timely for me and luckily I have a specialist hydrangea nursery nearby. Take care my dear.
I am so sorry to hear the news of your precious granddaughter Jacinta. I will be praying for the complete and total healing of your precious one. Sending you lots of love and a virtual hug.
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens - Thank you so much Danielle. I very much appreciate the power of prayer. A big hug to you too - such a lovely young woman, and I truly feel your own grandmother is always watching over you.
I lost my sister in March of 2020. I was absolutely lost. Then I found your channel and a few more. You brought me back to life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My dear garden friend. I am terribly sorry for the loss of your sister. I mourn with you. Praying the garden will continue to bring peace and healing. Those left behind are not alone either. I am here for you and I'm sure so many other gardeners would echo my sentiment.
Nice video - you made me cry, I planted a tree and a flower bed to honor my beloved’s mom memory - she passed to cancer as well, a short fight that caught us all by surprise. May they all Rest In Peace and we pray the lord to grant patience, courage and the miracle of healing for those who are suffering.. I llllove the cat 🐈 🤩 . Wish my Amy would be that mellow !
I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a real hug. I mourn with you. I am sure she loves the flower bed you created for her. My love and prayers to you.
Thank you so much for your service Madison. I'm sure you have touched so many with your care and compassion. I shall never forget the faces of my grandfather's hospice nurse, and my mom's nurses in the ER. Thank you.
What a wonderful tribute to the precious ladies in your life! I love the Hydrangea Hug hedge. Your Grandma truly lives on in you and I know your mom is very proud of you as well! Thanks for showing and sharing such kindness and compassion for others 💚👩🏼🌾

It’s such a pretty spot to put the hydrangeas. So sorry, your family has suffered from cancer. I hope donations driven by consumers choices make a big difference in finding a cure! It’s good that you’re able to discuss a difficult subject and share info that benefit others. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Sorry for your loss Danielle & thank you for sharing your emotions, more people should be willing to be vulnerable like that, it awakens us to other people’s feelings. Softens up hearts in this hostile world. 💗 I have been looking for this plant but have not seen it at nurseries. It would offer color more reliably than Macrophyllas, you just can’t beat that! If trey ever hybridize a blue version I am literally going to rip out half my beds & plant them everywhere!! 🌸🌸🌸
I'm with you Mona! A blue arborescense hydrangea would definitely be cause for an entire backyard makeover. I remember seeing a rare and stunning blue hydrangea once at Longwood. The blooms looked like smooth hydrangeas with lots of smaller florets (but they were blue) but the florets were almost waxy and succulent looking. I thought for sure it was a smooth hydrangea because of how the blooms appeared. Found out later - nope-big leaf. Still, a site to behold!
This is so beautiful! And I know your pain. I lost my father to brain cancer and my youngest sister who was only 31 years old leaving behind 4 beautiful kids, the youngest being only 8 months old... We never wish this pain on anyone.💓
Beautiful! I can't wait to see that hedge in the coming years! I really love hydrangeas and I only discovered panicle and smooth hydrangeas two years ago and I love them so much!!!

What a beautiful project and sentiment. I love your swing and the thought of whats to come. If a grandma could hug her grandchild with hydrangea..your gonna be doing a lot of trimming. Thats gonna be quite a wall! LOL Cancer is such a life disappointment but to know those who have fought and won is very inspirational...and those who have taken those challenges through many stages and incidents need to be remembered for the legacy of strength and determination as well. I love the idea of a sentimental garden and will definitely keep that in mind as I try to fill in my very empty garden. Its not been easy to keep things alive or be able to find things to fill such spaces without a grand investment. Im trying to get veggies this season....but am keeping all the info for next seasons. Do you have a place to buy perennials seeds. Id like to have a lot of Ladies Mantle and astilbe and hostas etc. But need to grow from seed...I cant afford more than a pot of something here and there....im also interested in learning how to take cuttings or spreading them around once i get them established...so If you have any programs on that, Id be happy to know more. Hugs to you for such wonderful content and such sweet, loving thoughts you always put towards everything you do.
Hi! I am all about saving money in the garden. I think the best idea would be to purchase bare root perennials. Hosta and astilbe are often sold bare root and are a fraction of the cost of a potted plant. Longfield gardens sells bare root perennials and I've been happy with their performance. Also check hardware stores like lowes and home depot. They often have bare root perennials in early spring.
Didnt think about bare root...yes that will be more likely to work. Do you recommend any companies in particular. Ive been searching seeds and im not having much progress...ill have to try bare root!
I’ve never been a fan of hydrangeas until PW came out with the panicles, lace caps & now the invincible smooth which always blooms. Slowly I’m getting rid of the old fashion mopheads. I hardly get blooms anymore bcz of the cold snaps we’ve been getting the last 2 yrs. Even covering them didn’t work.
beautiful garden and meaningful videos. would you kindly share the name of the white lace cap hydrangea next to the featured Invincibelle® Spirit II Hydrangea
So sorry to read so much pain and suffering people are going through. I read some reviews on this particular plant and a lot of them were not good , yours seems to be thriving and you are planting more , any ideas why people had such bad luck with them ? They look absolutely gorgeous in your yard and I can see why you want more
Hi Amy! I'm not sure about others experiences but here in 6b (Pennsylvania) in full sun they really thrive! I did plant the new hedge in more of a part sun situation, so it will be interesting to see if the color is not as vibrant. I'll update as times goes on.
Danielle: Thank you for a most informative video. Your garden is beautiful. The Invincible II looks particularly good nest to the white hydrangea behind you. What hydrangea is that one?
Beautiful. Can you please talk about the BoBo hydrangea. I planted mine 2 years ago and it did beautifully. So far this year I see no buds. Is it still to early. Please help
Hi there friend! I dont personally own a bobo, but I do have other panicle hydrangeas. Not to worry. Pannicle hydrangeas are the last to bud up and bloom. My Limelights still have no signs of buds and the fire lights are just now starting to get buds.
What a beautiful tribute garden! ❤ I have been growing Invincibelle for a few years. It's so beautiful...when the flowers first bloom. But within a couple weeks, the blooms turn a very unusual green/mauve. It's pretty up close, but step away and the color just looks like it's dead. Do yours also fade to that color? Or am I doing something wrong?
💗If these get decimated by deer over the winter/early spring, will we still be able to see blooms in the summer? I know my Nikko Blues and Snow Queens won’t, but many of the Proven Winners are more forgiving. I just don’t know which ones. Deer are a problem for me, they’ll shred right through staked & frost bagged hydrangeas just to munch. I hate that C-word 💔😭 it’s so unfair!
Hello! I was wondering something about lilies: if I remove the stamens or at least cut off the orange part will the scent be just as strong or will it make most of the scent go away? Every time I smell it I get orange pollen all over my face and it’s very difficult to get off.
Hi Cathy. My understanding is that it can take part sun, but that the bloom color may not be as vibrant. My old one is in full sun, and the new hedge is part sun. Hopefully next year I can share a helpful comparison.
I'm looking into purchasing incrediball white and I'm on the fence on getting an incrediball blush or invicibelle 2. Do you have any incrediball blush in your garden?
I appreciate all of your information, but isn't it best to gently loosen the roots of the plant before planting it so as to encourage root development outside of original container soil.
Miss D YOU are the most beautiful flower in your garden! ❤ Linda

Beautiful! How do these do in full sun? It’s beautiful next to the white lace cap hydrangea. Which variety is that?
The white tree in the background? Cornus?
You got it! Cornus kousa.
Do you think these could bloom in only 2 hrs of direct morning light, then dappled shade?
Hello! I was wondering something about lilies: if I remove the stamens or at least cut off the orange part will the scent be just as strong or will it make most of the scent go away? Every time I smell it I get orange pollen all over my face and it’s very difficult to get off.
Can this plant take part sun ?
Hi Cathy. My understanding is that it can take part sun, but that the bloom color may not be as vibrant. My old one is in full sun, and the new hedge is part sun. Hopefully next year I can share a helpful comparison.
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens Thank you ☺️
I am in zone 9 b. It says up to zone 8 wonder anyone grew this in warmer zones like 9 ?
I'm looking into purchasing incrediball white and I'm on the fence on getting an incrediball blush or invicibelle 2. Do you have any incrediball blush in your garden?
❤️
I appreciate all of your information, but isn't it best to gently loosen the roots of the plant before planting it so as to encourage root development outside of original container soil.

Your soil looks like chocolate cake. Good clay too.
