217k miles for my V6 2014 EX-L. I’ve replaced the alternator and starter a couple times. Outside of that only scheduled and routine maintenance. Goal is to get it to 300k. Great job maintaining yours!
My 2014 only has 83,000 with just tires and oil changes and coolant replacement. Its mission is the opposite of yours. It’s my long distance driver. Hopefully I will achieve 200,000 as yours. Thanks for the video.
This car doesn’t have a turbo. It’s a naturally aspirated 2.4 inline 4cyl. With a CVT transmission. The K24 is a great engine but it doesn’t have a turbo,lol!
I did think that was odd. I was sure they didn't offer turbo. He might have mistaken VTEC for turbo. Completely different but gives a boost by switching the camshaft with deeper lobes.
ive got the same body style, with the touring v6 the J35 is way more of an option as far as modifications go. if you can find one with 50k ish miles on it. its been fun even in 2024
2015 Accord lx, so far just small rock and pebble chips from driving, we're at 114k hoping to get to 500k, still on the strong side for a Earthdreams 4 cylinder. 😊
lol damn. I have a 2013 and 102k miles. The starter or relay (idk what the issue is) is failing, the engine gaskets replaced the cooling fan replaced, engine and transmission are good
i owned a 2010 honda accord, bought it brand new at the dealer here in california, i have about 235,000 miles on it now and still going. the car feels like its gonna make it to 300,000 miles the suspension is still decent. with hondas if you stick with the maintenance it will last a long time. i always use a full syntetic oil i guess its better to use that than a conventional oil i was told.
Im at 186k got it when it was 27k. Ive used this car for serveral long distance trips, as a uber/lyft driver, and as a doordash driver on the weekends. I didn't start to have to change any thing major until it reached past 150k. After that Ive changed 1 caliper Valve cover gasket Serpentine belt Both Catalytic converters Fuel injectors Pvc valve And soon the ignition coil and spark plugs Surprisingly the parts that gave out were all original parts and when i looked at the average longevity they hit their marks or surpassed it. Im not expecting this car to be bullet proof. I just know that compared to any other car especially german brand this car is easily more cost-effective to maintain in the long run. Especially if you can change a few parts on your own.
@@TrueBeingRealization yes I have had them done. Usually when they start to make a ticking noise I’ll get the service preformed. But it’s probably every 100K or so
I have a 2014 lx, real close to 150 k miles and irs running strong. I think with the exception of human error i could see this car hitting 250 k no issues maybe even 300 k. Ive heard its better without the turbo in terms of longevity so in that respect i like that my 2.4 liter has no turbo. But at the same time you have 200k with the turbo so obviously theyve got that pretty tuned in As for issues all ive had is, like you, the starter. It went out once at around 86k miles and i replaced it with a non oem part myself which wasnt super difficult. And to anyone in this situation id recommend buying a starter with a lifetime warranty like many at auto zone, that way if it goes out you're free and clear on the next one which is probably a good thing knowing these cars have this issue.
My 2014 Accord EX-L V6 has 212k miles. I change oil/rotate tires every 8-10k miles. I have replaced the battery three times, starter once. Like you, I was never stranded with either. I changed the timing belt at 107k and the belt they took off looked brand new. In fact, still have it….lol. The only expense I have had in almost 11 years is at 180k I got an oil leak. I repair that and have been purring along like brand new. I bought it with 6 miles on the odometer. I was going to trade in about 6 months ago, but I decided to keep it. In fact I still drive my Accord more than my new vehicle.
I got the same car. It has now 111k. One starter and 1 battery replaced so far. I think I may have to do some water pump, spark plugs and valve adjustment in the future. I got my valve cover replaced at 100k covered under warranty. Always dealer serviced. I can clearly see mine get over 200k
@@area859 dealer installed it. It was original refurbished Honda parts backed with 3 year warranty. Working just fine. Dealer will cost you about 200 dollars more but you have a piece of mind for the warranty

Oil and filter every wrench.I also use Amsoil all around. The battery went out at about 32k , so I installed a larger battery. That one went out at 32k also. I still have the same crunchy sounding stock Conti tires. Will change them in about 5k miles .I get around 26 MPG average and can make it to 39 mpg doing 80 MPH on the open road. The car is as Noisy as can be. Seems Honda when on the cheap with this one. Next time I'll get a Camry or an ES350. But overall , a good car so far. My 14 exl v6 had the transmission fluid and filter changed around 80 or 90k miles and it seemed to help with some questionable transmission behavior. The manual doesnt recommend ever changing the trans fluid or filter which is weird. Currently sitting at 101,000 miles.
Funny that he calls it a beater vehicle. My 2013 Accord v6 has 86k miles on it and its my baby :). I changed a starter, battery and tires. Besides full synthetic oil and recently changing the transmission oil. I wish it had Apple Car Play.
My 2014 Honda Accord has been burning oil for the past several months. Has anyone else had this issue? I've taken great care of the car, it only has 75k miles on it. I read that the 2013 and 2014 Accords have the most problems. This really pisses me off. This is only the second issue I've had with my Accord in 9 years, had a weird transmission problem years ago but that was easily fixed. It's been a great car, but the burning oil thing has me so upset. I didn't expect any serious problems with a car until bare minimum 100k miles.

Your burning oil from the top of the engine. I just bought one at 143 k miles.
