Hi, I have an older (2003) 8' Pro Plow (1 power Plug, 2 plugs for other side) Always garage kept. Had the pump rebuilt last year, hoses replaced and filter/fluid change. Plow lifts & turns immediately after truck is started, although a bit slow. After using it 5-10 minutes, plow has issues lifting (lights on truck dim) and turning left (replaced S3 valve also). have to let truck sit for a bit running, then can get it to lift most of the time (again, very slow to lift). Lights always dim when the solenoids click. Also takes a while to get it to turn left again. I go thru this daily and would really appreciate any help as to what side the issue may be on (plow or truck). I do hear what may be the motor turning when it doesn't lift or turn left (and the clicking of the valve solenoids), but still doesn't work. Thanks for any help.
I've installed nearly 100 plows. I just took a mount and harness from another truck and joined it with a different plow onto my truck. Couldn't get it to work. Tried different modules and controllers. But following this great video and testing the correct grounds I found my issue. Lost my ground in the A harness, black wire orange stripe. Thanks
Not necessarily. It depends on how the circuit was tested. If you unplug port B from the module, Pin C is not going to show any readings because the circuit got interrupted. In order to check that pin without interrupting the circuit, you would need to have the 10-pin test harness available at your local dealer.
Does your plow have a 2-plug, 3-port system? If so, the power comes from the module, the ground comes from the battery. Here is the important power and ground point you must have in order for the system to operate properly. @@hazardousgarage9546 hi yes the plow does need to be hooked up. In my case the plow module was faulty even after hooking the plow, western was no help👎
Thanks for the video, it finally helped me track down a bad wire
Exactly what I needed all dealers should watch this on repeat.

I don't have power to this. What did you do to fix it?
I do not have power coming from pin "C" for the power to the cab. Does this indicate a bad module?

I have now power at the control, but power going out and in of the module b. Any other diagnostic tips
Same here. Have you figured it out? I’m stumped atm..
Same issue here. What did you fine?
@@Hutchy45445did you find anything? No power to my controller
I'm getting volts in everything except the controller. It's getting none. Any tips?

This is a great video, however the music is so annoying making it hard to learn from the video. Makes me so angry I want to cuss
