Nice setting. Natural reverb. Good intonation & complimentary instrumentation. Just the right amount of twiddly bits. Proof that good tunes need not be played at warp speed. :)
"natural reverb".... is it really? The amount of reverb on the whistle part is very, very pronounced, while not that much on the guitar. I might be wrong but I suspect some heavy lifting in post processing. Of course it is not a critic of any kind of the end result, which is truly lovely and the performers both have undeniable skills. I'd still be curious to know how it was recorded and processed, though.
For years I thought exactly the same.. so I know how it feels like. The big 'breakthrough' for me was a: when I realized the difference between legato and staccato (slurring & tonguing) b: learned how to cut (properly 'tight' / 'crisp' ) and c: with the book of the great Grey Larsen - "The Essential Guide to Irish Flute and Tin Whistle" - HIGHLY recommended. Those things have changed EVERYTHING for me. The rest will come with a lot of patience and practice. You can do it! :)

And yes, I do play tin whistle. A tweaked original Clark. I also have tin whistles from the 1800s in high pitch with lead fipples. They are made of tin. Tin, not brass, plastic, silver, wood, carbon fibre....

There is too much reverb to my ears. And, the instruments are a bit not in tune with themselves :)

@@LR-ee2uu you can put mics closer to the instruments, that will reduce the venue reverberation impact on the resulting record ;)
