Just because they SANG it live doesn't mean they didn't have it pitch-corrected in post. It's not the same as "auto-tune," and ALL the big groups do it. I'm not POSITIVE about VoicePlay, but the rest all do. I don't have the right equipment to tell if this is pitch-corrected or not. Having said that, it does not mean that these folks are not amazing. They are. I've been listening to them for about 8 years now. I love 'em!
@@AudioVile Geoff from Voiceplay openly talks about having used pitch software to get a note below his range. Most do not realize how difficult it is to get sounds like this from human voices. Just to be able to sing with intonation and blend you voice with another for a pleasing sound is hard but to have 5 equally talented singers in fine health (no colds, allergies, flu) on the same day, same hour, almost impossible. A very difficult song, long, with intricate harmonies. A beautiful presentation. Reminds me of The Swingle Singers from the 1960s.
What's interesting, in tour they have shows almost every day, and sometimes one of them is down with the flu, so what they do in that situation, they put one person in a separate room with a camera facing him/her, and that person performs live from that room while the other members are on stage in front of 10K+ sold out arena of people. They've done that multiple times, and it's impressive every time.

I loved this version when it first came out all those years ago. Now they brought it back again and they are much older and more mature now, and you can really tell that with their voices. they have all been thought so much, and a couple have brought new life into this world. to me all of that experience and wisdom is explored and released to us in their voices, expressions, and tones. it's truly awe inspiring and magical to witness them growing up, with us along side them. thank you, ptx

Guitar-Mitch it on fire!!! For everyone who says they use auto tune, I say 😝😝. I've been to several of their concerts and they sound just like way they are in their videos! Love my PTX!!
I believe that this video should sufficiently put to bed any of the naysayers and skeptics stating that their videos are overproduced and manipulated. This is what they are....pure genius and perfection musically. With the exception of the megaphone, I didn't hear much deviation from the original "produced" video. Oh..and the addition of Matt replacing Avi. Been watching ever since Nick uttered your names the first time! I was mesmerized then, and still am. Thank you SO much for all of the goosebumps and tears over the years. I will forever and always be in awe of you all! Much love from PapaBean!
This was and is epic..made for Mitch's voice and completed perfect by Kirstin, Scott , Kevin and Matt. Thanks a lot ...I'm so happy we have you guys singing for us pentaholics...❤
What a Gift! Everyone's Talent is a Gift to Behold; Plus Our Gift, to be able to listen to this Amazingly talented group anytime we desire; Thank you, I AM Grateful!
The pants are one hell of a fashion statement, I couldn't pull that off ❤
You'd think she could afford to actually buy something that doesn't look like it came out of the discard pile at a thrift store. The white "patch" on the right side looks like the bag my husband wears on his leg to hide his Foley catheter when in public (except she's wearing it on the outside of her pants).
Although my first interest is to hear them, I always enjoy seeing what they are wearing, it's pure fun.
I don't think she is either 😂
@@ZeldaMcFly I don’t understand why no-pants pants have become a thing. But I think she’s the only one capable of making them look good. But you’re entitled to your opinion
@@jaxscales6158 those pants are stupid as hell
Yesssssss, it's amazing as always. Great work, Scott, at 4:41. As someone with the same vocal texture, that is exactly how I hit that note too, lol. Thank you Pentatonix, you're awesome.
This was absolutely insane! I've never moved so fast to listen to a song, I can't wait for whatever's next!
CHILLS omg they’re amazing and I love this song and Mitch is giving mad Freddie vibes here!
That bass is sick!!!!
The pitch control is super human BUT also the rhythm and “attacks” are SO sophisticated and pure perfection…!!!
Thanks for this live version…! God has blessed you with magical instruments…!!! Keep using your gift.
And here it is! I've been waiting. They teased this and I think it's fantastic that a live version has been recorded, because they do it live in concert all the time, and it's always insane!
0:36 Shoutout to the trio singing "easy come, easy go", etc. (Scott, Kirstin, Kevin). Kevin, on the rare occasions he does sing, blends so beautifully with the group. He has the middle part, and it sounds soooo smooth and effortless, almost as if it’s Mitch singing, lol.
This was freakin phenomenal. I'm so proud of their success in breaking the mole and allowing their creativity and love of what they do to go against all odds.
MYGHADDD MATT IS KILLIN IT WITH THE BASS AAAHHHHH🤩
Yes. Matts voice sounds deeper now. It’s fabulous.
I'm one of the 'silent minority' who honestly thinks that Matt is better suited to PTX than was Avi. Avi is fantastic, but I think Matt is an even better fit for the group.
As someone who was a fan of your original stairwell videos, I love these live videos! They really show off your best, unique skills as a group and individuals.
PTX, I still love you guys!! You are all so beautifully talented! Thank you for sharing such amazing music.
Speechless. Friday morning bliss. Note perfect. Musicality off the charts. ✨
chills, LITERAL CHILLS
I love the original video but so happy to see a recorded version with Matt! ❤
2:49 “Woooow” exactly how I feel listening to Ptx’s music!🎶 😅😅😅😊❤❤❤
mitch gonna slay that ‘for me (G5)’ anytime anyday 😊😮💨
Wow! That just blew me away. The beatboxing, the base man, everything. I can’t believe it’s the complete song. All done with the human voice. Color me impressed.
My God, just as great as the first recording of "Bohemian Rhapsody" if not more. I'm in the hospital (rehab next) with complications from my first full hip replacement surgery and I felt so down. This video perked me up!
If you find yourselves near Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio near your Cleveland tour stop), send prayers for a successful recovery. I know I'm just a small speck in this world, but a prayer (silent or in person??) would go a long way. Thank you!

Sending you well wishes!
@@hernameispekka_Rebecca Thank you! 🙂
@tammydelong6205 sou do Brasil e vou orar por você, boa recuperação viuu
I'm not PTX but I'm sending prayers. A little advice....don't let the physical therapist push you too far!!! Just tell them that's all you can do.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Pentatonix epitomizes the art of vocal symbiosis.
I started watching you because of Acapella years ago and will always love you for throwing us little treats like this
Just magnificent, stellar! All of them were awesome and Mitch you nailed it!
I didn’t think it would be possible to outdo your own first version with the couch. And here you go… Absolute perfection! ❤❤❤
Pentatonix is amazing! Every song is beautifully done.
Love that Mitch is out front!! Perfection!! Mic balance was perfect too!
I've been watching PTX since La La Latch , Evolution of Beyoncé, Evolution of Music , etc. This group has continued to raise the bar for my expectations and they do it so effortlessly ! I'm so glad they still make music and do these amazing covers ❤
The level of talent here is just nuts. 🥜
02:16 that slide from Kristen 😍
*Kirstin
@@j.6133 true 😬
Very good vocal sounds, they are loved
🤭
i love
The beat and the bass is just mad impressive
Nothing but love for these guys! ❤
Legends say Pentatonix had been preparing this song for 12 years
How cool would it be to be able to toggle each singer’s vocals on and off to really hear the individual components and what each insanely talented member brings to the mix. Would be amazing if UA-cam had a feature like that
It would be amazing but they pass parts over to each other so quickly we would be toggling on and off like crazy ❤
@@lesleywilbourne7823 too true 😅
I can hear each one of them just by watching them individually. Kirstin's part is so hard.
Oh my word!! It’s just too perfect &too amazing for words.
It’s incredibly difficult to keep repeating the same pitch perfectly but those bass lines just keep coming. Thank you Pentatonix, LOVE you ❤
This is exquisite! I've been a Pentatonix fan for years, but they outdid themselves with this! It made me smile, but the lead vocals made me cry, they were so beautiful! I think it's safe to say you have Freddie's approval, dahlings!❤
