  • This series of yoga exercises will help you to combat sciatic nerve pain.
    Always check with your docter before you begin any new form of exercise.
    If you are a regular yoga practitioner then these exercises will be helpful to keep sciatic pain at bay.
    The sciatic nerve runs alongside the right and left side of your legs. It is the widest and longest nerve in the body.
    It travels from the lower spine through the pelvis and alongside each leg, supplying vital sensations to legs knees ankles and feet.
    Damage inflammation or compression to the nerve will result in numerous systoms including: lower back pain, inability to move knee, shooting pain in buttocks to lower leg.
    Yoga stretches include :
    Cat/Cow stretch
    Hamstring stretch
    Raise arm opposite leg stretch
    Tiger stretch
    Tiger leg pulse for 10
    Swan resting pose
    Prone position
    Reclining pigeon pose
    Pelvic tilts
    Flowing bridge pose
