November 91, I slipped and fell on black ice. Been living with extreme pain ever since. I can't get comfortable I'm constantly on the move sitting standing pacing tossing and turning in bed. I tried exercising but that doesn't work. Last week I fell hard again on cement. I'm 75 and don't have much padding back there. I went to the er and no broken bones, thank you God. But I'm in excruciating pain. So I went to UA-cam to find out why. I watched 3 different videos and yours made the best sense and doable for an old lady. I will be starting out slowly with much hope. Ty for sharing
Thank you so much for this video. The pain came from nowhere for me. Even coughing and blowing my nose was so difficult. Did the first 3 exercises for 2 days in a row and it just disappeared like that. Anyone who is experiencing it, please try these exercises and it'll relieve u of this pain. The exercises are lightweight as well and you'll see the results the very next day.
Omg after so many weeks of this pain, I have no choice but to sit on a chair in my classes and at home to do my work and now iv found the cure to help it out you legend
Wow I almost never comment on videos but I have to thank you SO much for these exercises! Almost 2 weeks ago I fell on my tailbone while skiing and I’ve been in constant pain. The last 2 nights I’ve done these stretches before bed and I can feel a TREMENDOUS difference. Thank you, thank you!
I came for tailbone pain relief - got something else. After doing these stretches for a week or so my butt started to feel warm again and sprung back up. This was not what I expected. I have always had a big, round and full butt. 2 years ago I started losing volume and muscle mass in butt and legs and started accumulating more fat around my waist. I figure - got too fat, insulin resistant - need to reverse that. Long story short - I go low carb diet, lose 28 kg and my butt is on the FLOOR, flat, saggy - I am devastated. I started walking a lot, doing squats - instead of bigger firmer butt I get lower back pain worsening, pelvic floor problems so called Pelvic congestion syndrome, horrible hemorrhoids and TAIL BONE PAIN - no injuries to tail bone. Then I come across these stretches - my butt springs back up, gets warm, I feel the heat in butt now when I walk. Heat coming from deeper layers. How tight and dormant my butt must have been for years. I must have had very poor blood circulation in butt. Poor butt!!!! My tail bone pain has improved but I am still working on that. The way one sits is terribly important - I now only sit on rolled up towels. I figured that this affair with pelvic floor problems - all connected - tailbone pain, hemorrhoids, urination urgency, fluid retention in trunk. I hope someone reads this and makes some conections for themselves. Doctors can be pretty ignorant - do try research and connect things before going to the doctor - that way you can ask lots of questions and work out how clever or ignorant your doctor really is. Or better yet see a physiotherapist! Next hit for me will be Kegels from Michelle! Michelle, thank you so very much for your work!

I guarantee you the steps above will help your recovery or get rid of the pain completely, it worked for me! I’m happy to hear if this works for you!!

I don't care how crude the information is. I needed it to reduce my lower back pain. This video taught me how to manipulate my inner organs to reduce my lower back pain. It taught me that trying hard to fart reduces my lower back pain. It taught me to inflate below my stomach, making it feel like I'm farting out stomach air. That massages my rectum, which reduces my lower back pain. Thanks, Michelle Kenway! You are awesome!
Michelle you indeed are god sent! I have been having this pain thinking there is something deeply wrong. I did your exercises only once and immediately the pain disappeared! Thank you Michele
You are a miracle worker!!! I’ve been in such severe pain all day. I tried volteran, cold compresses and other stretches nothing was working but here I did your video and instant pain relief omg thank you!

I found your video today and I just did the stretches, and I found instant relief! I plan to do these stretches every day now. I Can’t thank you enough for sharing your video. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Every single exercise or stretching I have done for this problem has actually made my back go out. I’ve had severe issues from three back labors and a botched episiotomy. My very lower back always feels “loose” and wobbly. The most relief I ever feel is the “cat/cow” or “sun salutation” yoga poses the stretches the very lower back.

The breathing exercise at the end really helped me to release the pain. It felt like the opposite of doing Kegels. It helped me to realize that I am often exacerbating my pain by clenching my buttocks.

Brilliant ! I've been having so many other ortho problems, with multiple vertebrae, and for the first time last week I injured my tailbone, and this was super helpful. I like that you add also that touch of breathing and visualizing, many PT trainers don't talk about that part of the PT, and that is def important. Thank you so much :)

I am estatic. After one day doing these four exercises three times. I know I am going to be okay. I have fibromyalgia and always have pain and learned his to manage it over 16 years. I had a particularly bad three day’s as it flared up in my coccyx, tailbone, hips and knees. Which is not unusual. I was in agony and thought Lord why is it not subsiding. Then came you and your wonderful four easy to do exercises. I am so relieved and not taking these constipating pain killers today. God bless you.
Just wanna share my experience 🤗 June 17 i fell off my chair, with my coccyx hitting the arm rest so it was definitely bruised. for the first few days it was painful to stand up and to sit down, i had to carefully position myself standing up or sitting down so it would hurt less but it still hurt, like a sharp knife in the bone. i wasnt able to kneel or bend down to pick something off the floor. I kept reading of comments from people getting relief in just two days with this exercise, i was about to give up because ive been doing these stretches for like 3 days already. twice a day. Thankfully last night just like a miracle i was relieved of the sharp knife like pain. Thanks to this video! I was accepting the idea that bruised tailbone can heal up to 4 weeks 🙏🏼 my coccyx is still painful when i sit with a certain position that applies pressure on it but if i compare my 10/10 pain before it's now moved down to 3/10 🙏🏼
I broke my tailbone almost 2 years ago, for me long term what helped was buying a donut cushion/coccyx cushion (I know this is embarrassing to carry, I honestly stopped working for the time being) & building muscle in my glutes (Squatting with weights, lunges, etc). My doctor recommended not doing too much the first two months so that it can heal in place, but after the two months you can pick up the work outs. If you didn't break it I think you can start as soon as your ready. As the muscle built It seemed I was putting less pressure on my coccyx bone directly. My butt was literally like my own pad I guess. I wasn't able to do sit ups for a while until after I built the muscle, this was how I was able to test if this had been working. It doesn't bother me unless I directly hit into it, I even forgot I broke it for some time. Since I'm sitting a lot during this pandemic, I've been using my cushion again since sitting in general puts a lot of pressure on your lower back, you won't notice it at first, but the pain will creep back so just use it. Also ibuprofen works well to help reduce the pain. Hope this helps!
Omg I just had that happen to me, same exact way and same exact symptoms. Feels like a pinched nerve when you move wrong. I can’t bend down to even put my dogs food bowl down without excruciating pain :(. I’m so happy to read that yours went away. Thank you for posting that. This is really awful. Has your pain stayed away???

It caused me pain at first but If you can lift your feet off the floor so your tailbone is actually up too it helps if you can't then probably should see a doctor.
take ots painkillers and get up your ass and start walking else ypur ass will pain like hell! I was told by Doctor that it takes upto a year to heal by itself if I avoid prolonged sitting, do exercise like in video and stop driving, jumping, running etc.. fuck better start walking and it's high time now but due to WFH we all have these happening to us..

@Carol Keller wonderful to read this feedback, thank you Carol!
How many days of excercise gave u relief from tailbone
I don't care how crude the information is. I needed it to reduce my lower back pain. This video taught me how to manipulate my inner organs to reduce my lower back pain. It taught me that trying hard to fart reduces my lower back pain. It taught me to inflate below my stomach, making it feel like I'm farting out stomach air. That massages my rectum, which reduces my lower back pain. Thanks, Michelle Kenway! You are awesome!
This is great! This pain came out of nowhere and these stretches really helped.
Same I literally just woke up and I was in pain for the rest of the day 😭 I’m still in pain I haven’t done this stretch yet so we’ll see
@@eleinawilson6592 Did it get any better?
Same thing happened to me 2days back

Me too, just out of the blue. Freaking out trying to figure out what I did.

I read the comments but I couldn’t believe it 😭 I’ve been having tailbone pain for weeks after falling on my back and these made it feel like nothing! I will definitely add these to my daily routine, thank you so so much!! 💖💖
hi , can you tell me still pain or not after 1 year caus i failed on my back in 3 weaks left
Thanks a million Michelle! I have been suffering from tailbone pain for the past few weeks, which refused to go away. I found your video today and I just did the stretches, and I found instant relief! I plan to do these stretches every day now. I Can’t thank you enough for sharing your video. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Are u much better now?
I'm feeling more comfortable after doing this excercises. Thanks Kenway💐
Don't push yourself too much, take 1 day for rest, change your bed your pillow and drink more water 🙏
Damn I'm sorry to hear that, are you hypermobile by any chance ?
Thanks a ton for this. I have tailbone pain from over a year. I do feel good relief by these stretches.
@Ashwwinn my pleasure! Happy I could be of help.❤️

The breathing exercise at the end really helped me to release the pain. It felt like the opposite of doing Kegels. It helped me to realize that I am often exacerbating my pain by clenching my buttocks.
So glad this helped Naomi! Yes likewise I'm a butt gripper too - it takes some concentration and effort to relax these msucles, all the best!

I have three symptomatic Tarlov cysts. A pelvic floor specialist taught me some of these exercises, and I must do them at least 3 times a week to stay comfortable in that area. If I slack off, I know it! They are very effective! I'll be adding one or two new ones that you showed. Thanks!

Brilliant !
I've been having so many other ortho problems, with multiple vertebrae, and for the first time last week I injured my tailbone, and this was super helpful. I like that you add also that touch of breathing and visualizing, many PT trainers don't talk about that part of the PT, and that is def important. Thank you so much :)
Almost suffered with this pain for more than 3 weeks, much thanks to u feeling so much relieved this is my second of the exercise.....God bless you , well explained...pain has drastically reduced......thank you once again 😊 ❤️

I have been living with terrible coccyx pain & can't see a physical therapist due to the Covid-19 quarantine. I looked on UA-cam for help & found this amazing video! I did the exercises and have experienced so much relief that I am truly amazed! I bought your relaxation MP3s and look forward to using that, too. Thank you for this. I hate sitting all day for online class. Hurts so bad
Same for me
I am estatic.
Just wanna share my experience 🤗
June 17 i fell off my chair, with my coccyx hitting the arm rest so it was definitely bruised. for the first few days it was painful to stand up and to sit down, i had to carefully position myself standing up or sitting down so it would hurt less but it still hurt, like a sharp knife in the bone. i wasnt able to kneel or bend down to pick something off the floor.
I kept reading of comments from people getting relief in just two days with this exercise, i was about to give up because ive been doing these stretches for like 3 days already. twice a day. Thankfully last night just like a miracle i was relieved of the sharp knife like pain. Thanks to this video! I was accepting the idea that bruised tailbone can heal up to 4 weeks 🙏🏼
my coccyx is still painful when i sit with a certain position that applies pressure on it but if i compare my 10/10 pain before it's now moved down to 3/10 🙏🏼
I broke my tailbone almost 2 years ago, for me long term what helped was buying a donut cushion/coccyx cushion (I know this is embarrassing to carry, I honestly stopped working for the time being) & building muscle in my glutes (Squatting with weights, lunges, etc).
How is it now?
Omg I just had that happen to me, same exact way and same exact symptoms. Feels like a pinched nerve when you move wrong. I can’t even do the first exercise (laying down on my back) without excruciating pain in my tailbone. Help
Same here
It caused me pain at first but If you can lift your feet off the floor so your tailbone is actually up too it helps if you can't then probably should see a doctor.
Still have pain?
Lie on your side first then roll over. That helped me. Still going to hurt a bit but it's reduced the pain a lot
take ots painkillers and get up your ass and start walking else ypur ass will pain like hell!
I was told by Doctor that it takes upto a year to heal by itself if I avoid prolonged sitting, do exercise like in video and stop driving, jumping, running etc.. fuck better start walking and it's high time now but due to WFH we all have these happening to us..
I have been suffering with tailbone pain for about 4 months..2days of excercise for 2/3 times a day and my pain is drastically low.

Since having two kids and losing weight over the last 4 years. I noticed my tail bone and back hurts alot some days when i bend or sit and try to get up. I like when you said it is related even though it seems like it does nothing. I always find physical therapy useless because of it but you convinced me so I will keep doing it. I have had tailbone pain for about 4 months now if it is not more because I am always working on my computer and nothing really helps now. If these exercises help, I will come back for an update. Thank you!
