Just think it'd have been a thing had Nintendo not pulled out.
Shame they didn't go with SEGA, I bet it would have looked amazing, not that this machine doesn't, but I've always preferred SEGA Hardware and Controllers.
SEGA was their biggest competitor at the time - for them to partner up in the 80's/90's would probably have imploded the universe. Sony probably seemed like a safer bet at the time, which is likely why they ditched them without a second thought. If only they knew about the impending reign of the PlayStation lol

But at the other hand, just imagine 1 to 1 port of rondo of blood on it, imagine donkeykong country 1.2.3 and killer instinct on it with fmv and crystall clear doom, imagine doom on it with with smooth controls and fully textured graphics ( if the CD addon ended up being a 32bit machine)
Imagine commanch on it with foxel graphics etc,,,
Who ever knows how much better versions of certain games we could have on the snes, i found it just sooo stupid that despite nintendo did had 3 chances to came up with a CD-rom addon for the snes, they just throwed away all those chances in the bin with all the consequences🥲😟
