  • Whether you use the trails to get connected or get disconnected, they have a way of renewing your spirit. So, get your ride on and let’s go.
To take this journey from the White Settlement Trailhead to Rockwood Park Drive you have to start off by heading in the opposite direction and cross the river at a low water dam. The ride will take you by several of the murals commissioned by the Tarrant Regional Water District. To truly appreciate them, you might want to get off your bike and soak them in.
“Backyard Princesses” by Anya Boz offers a new flare to some of the underappreciated animals we take for granted. “Cloud 9” by Jimmy Jenkins stars a great blue heron launching itself from the banks of the Trinity River. Further along, you’ll run across John Worley’s wild looking “Cowboy Punk 2077” and Fernando Rojas’ “The Panther.”
The Trinity Trails and the Fort Worth Floodway are managed and maintained by TRWD. Behind the government agency you know as the water district, we are a bunch of humans who like to hike, bike, walk, and explore as much as you do. And creating the trail system is one way we can expand the recreational opportunities for everyone to enjoy.
