These look lovely! Are you using American cups or cups from Aus/Can? I'm European and we are not used to cups, we prefer grams and ml, so much easier to be precise.
Here you go - I’ve also put in the Method: Ingredient - 169g gluten free plain / all purpose flour - 79ml milk - 100g sugar - 1/4 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract / essence - 40g unsalted butter Method 1. In a sauce pan, combine the milk, sugar and baking soda. 2. Heat the mixture on a low flame / heat. 3. Once the sugar has dissolved, the mixture will become frothy. 4. As soon as the mixture boils, remove it from the heat. 5. Allow to cool completely. 6. Add the butter and vanilla essence / extract to the flour, then rub the butter into the flour with the hands. The mixture should be like crumbs. 7. Pour the cooled mixture gradually into the crumb mixture and start mixing, until a dough is formed. 8. Using two pieces of butter paper / baking parchment, roll out the dough as thinly as possible. 9. Cut out the biscuits by using a round 6.5cm cookie cutter, then use either a toothpick, fork or baking dock to poke holes in the biscuits and place on the baking tray / sheet. 10. Once all the dough has been used, refrigerate the biscuits for 15 minutes. 11. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 160oC / 140oC fan / 320oF. 12. Enjoy the crispy and crunchy Marie Biscuits!
