Yes, but you'll need to make "buttermilk" from the almond milk. Add 1 tbsp of vinegar or lemon juice per cup of almond milk; stir and let sit for at least 5 minutes. You may need a little less of this for the recipe as it won't be as thick as full-fat buttermilk.
Croissants & biscuits…I have gone without since bring GF for over a decade. I would rather go without than settle for, “It’s GF, you can’t expect it to be as good as the real thing”. I’m so thankful I found your site. Why has it taken so long?
i tried it, I'm sorry but it was terrible, you just taste the baking powder, too much baking powder if you ask me. (i used Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour)
@tozdem I'm sorry yours didn't turn out. I've made these for my family for years and we all love them. The baking powder is used to replicate self rising flour, which has baking powder and salt in it. Maybe the flour blend you used somehow caused the baking powder taste to be more prominent. It's never been a problem when using my flour blend.
You should be able to use a different flour blend, but I haven't tested it with one so I can't say for sure. You can make a buttermilk with almond milk and a couple tablespoons of white vinegar or lemon juice. Stir and let it sit to thicken and "curdle" a little bit.
You are such a treasure for the GF community. We truly lucky to have you.
Awe, you are so sweet! I am so humbled. Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
Yes, I concur!!
Yes! I am so happy to have found her channel. I have hope!!!😊

Thank you!! Awesome biscuits 😄 I have tried your recipes and have always enjoyed the results 🕊
Glad you like them!
Going to be doing more southern cooking in general.
This will be perfect.
Wow, I must try this. They look amazing!
Thank you!
What can i use to help it rise more if im also allergic to eggs?
This recipe requires the eggs. However, I have another recipe for cream biscuits (search cream biscuits) that doesn't use eggs.
Perfect!
Can’t wait to make some with some sausage gravy
They're so good with sausage gravy!
What is the purpose of adding eggs? Never used them in biscuits. Good recipe.
Thanks! This is a recipe that I adapted from Joanna Gaines' cookbook in which she uses eggs. My guess is the eggs help with the fluffiness and rise.
Well & Good sell self raising flour to anyone who lives in Australia
Can I use almond milk instead of buttermilk?

@@LetThemEatGlutenFreeCake thank you!
Just found your channel. You have a lovely soothing voice. Quick question, you don't have a recipe anywhere that I can see. Did I miss it? Thanks
She has a web page. Click the link in the description, it will take you to the recipe there. Search there for other recipes.
Hey, maybe use some measurements on the website if youre trying to teach people how to make something? Seems pretty important if you ask me
What are you talking about?!?! The recipe is on the website.
Wish you had said which GF flour you use to make your biscuits as GF flours are quite different.
I'm so sorry! All of my recipes use my own flour blends, for which the recipes are on my blog in the main menu 🥰
@@LetThemEatGlutenFreeCake okay, thanks
