Thank you so much. I’ve made before but they’ve always merged into one big blob in the oven. It’s the xantham gum as you said it’s a game changer. I’m serving at the weekend with lemon posset. I used half dove farm gluten free and rice flour. 5* Thank you so so much.
Great video - I must try these. I have a Dove’s Farm vanilla biscuit ‘dough’ chilling in the fridge. It looks a bit cake-like to me, but we’ll see. Your biscuits will be my next attempt.
Yum. Thank you for your delicious recipes. I was diagnosed a Coeliac a few years ago and I love to try and make my own food and desserts as I don't trust a lot of store bought Gluten free foods and treats. I love shortbread. Hello and well wishes from Sydney Australia.
Aww you’re so welcome! Lovely to hear that you enjoy making homemade gluten free treats. It will definitely make your diet much more varied and enjoyable. Do hope you get to rustle up a batch of shortbread biscuits. They’re so nice! I have family in Sydney and we have been lucky enough to visit twice. It’s such a magical place. Stay safe .✨
Hi there, the link to the recipe (which is over on my blog) is in the written description below the video, but here’s the link to ensure you’re all good to go www.coeliacbydesign.com/gluten-free-shortbread-biscuits/ 😊
Hi Liz, I discovered your channel while looking for a GF biscuit recipe. Next week my best friend and his girlfriend are coming over and I wanted to make a cheesecake for dessert. Sadly my favourite GF biscuits I usually use for my no bake biscuit base are currently not available for an unknown period of time so I went looking online for making an alternative myself. Could I use the shortbread as a complete base? Originally I wanted to make a no bake mango cheesecake… I was thinking “what if I just bake one giant biscuit as my base the night before and let it cool completely and then the morning of I just make the mango cheesecake mix to go over the crust and let it set in the fridge until they come over in the evening. It would save me the step of crushing biscuits and mixing them with melted butter 😁 and less dishes to clean… My springform pan is about 24cm in diameter and about 10cm in hight. How thick do think I should roll out my dough base and how long would you bake it? ❤
Hi, I'm quite sure that it would be fine to use the shortbread mixture as the base, but unfortunately as I've not tested out the recipe this way I can't give you accurate information. I would suggest that maybe rather than rolling the dough out, that you simply press it into the lined tin instead. Again this is purely guess work, but I would think maybe bake it initially for 20 minutes and have a quick check and continue to bake until it's the palest of golden brown. Should you give it a go, do let me know how you get on. Good luck and I hope you have a great catch up with your best friend and his girlfriend 😊

No measurements for the ingredients? Much easier to have them as we watch.
The link for the recipe is in the written description below… maybe you could weigh everything out then pop the video on? Good luck
Put recipe on the video no shitty links

@@CoeliacbyDesign Yes but it is boring not to put the recipe in the video. People got no time to mess about, that's why I never finished the video.
