Hmm… Mamouna was never a big favorite of mine compared to Boys & Girls and especially Bete Noire. I started to see these Horoscope videos popping up on my feed yesterday and wondered if it was a new album (new to me, I guess). I was quick to listen to Mother of Pearl but this slick dance pop version pales in comparison to the rock original, which is among Roxy Music’s very best. Thanks for the thorough review.

I’ve learned to appreciate Mamouna more now than when it was released. I wish I could have seen Roxy back in ‘83! I saw them last year and musically they were fantastic but Bryan voice has changed a bit. Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
@@fidelios_frequency The '83 Concert was fantastic & a treat to see them, '01 was really good as well however last year the performance was too short; songs were shortened & the video presentation was terrible. Most people agree Bryan's voice wasn't great but he is in his mid 70's.
Excellent commentary, Arnaldo. Now that I hear about Sketches, I am very interested in the CD set. I wonder if you could comment on the sound of the main album on the vinyl vs the CD.
I liked some of the versions in horoscope Better than the original ones. Especially loop de li, much more mellow and soft than the One found in avanmore, which sticks out like a sore thumb
I was unaware of this album, I need to check this one out. I still buy cds when this happens with extra bonus tracks. I recently bought Johnny Marr’s - Spirit Power best of two cd book deluxe version with extra tracks.
Confusing video! Where is the Horoscope & Sketches cover art for vinyl ?? I know a Horoscope vinyl album exists so why do you keep displaying the Mamouna album talking about Horoscope tracks? 🤔
Could somebody please tell me why anyone would want to listen to vinyl? We got away from that it was called CDs and they're still the best form of music that is. I can't believe we're going back to scratches and pops.

I haven’t had the chance to compare the CD version of main albums yet. I went straight for the Sketches.
